Several months after my previous bird passed away, I decided it was time to check out a store that sold birds. As soon as I opened the door she came right to the door of her cage and started calling me over with her cute little voice. It was love at first sight! I just had to take her home with me!.

Active within 1237 Days Hi! My name is ~Sherbet~ I am a Sun Conure from diamond bar, CA. sweatheart, baby, cutie 5 years old F Sun Conure grapes grapes grapes grapes grapes!!! I love hanging out under pillows and blankets or any where it is nice and cozy when mommy lifts the blanket when im cuddling with her in bed. You can even see how angry i get in one of my pictures that mommy posted. (embarrassing!) she loves me more than life itself. she leaves the radio on for me when im at home by myself so i do not feel so alone. She spoils me with toys and affection...and i love her just for that. i love crawling down people's shirts... what can i say?! its a great hide out!. if im not the center of attention, i will scream until you give it to me!.

Thank you for the post and for voting for me....I sent a vote your way too.
We are a lot a like. I love to sleep under the blankets with my Mommy and climb down shirts. One time I took the underwire out of mommys bra....she wasn't happy about that.

She spoils me too. She leaves the radio on for me and I have a big play cage that over looks the back yard. Those wild birds get me all tired out when I watch them.

I love water.....I make a sipping noise anytime someone has water on or I am near it. I also love to bath in the water...I can get carried away, and my feathers stick on top of my head and Mom laughs at me.

We have a lot in common and I hope you come back and visit me.

You're lucky to have so many bird vets in CA! Even when we lived in Virginia in the Tidewater area where a lot of people live, there were only 3-4 vets that did birds. It must be difficult to do birds as they can be so small and they are so different from other less exotic pets! Here in Mexico there are a lot of vets but they specialize in either cats and/or dogs and nothing else. I did find a horse vet the other day though! The local people know we have parrots and figure we know about birds so they are now bringing us wild birds that are injured but so far, they have been too mortally injured for us to save or even to take to the wildlife vet and it is very sad. One lady came over last week, an American, to have us show her how to clip her new parrot's wings. Hoppy Easter, Sherbet! Leaving you a vote - hope you get BOTW! Squeaky

I went for a check at the vet on Monday - here I go to a wildlife vet - she's the only one in the state that does birds and of course other wildlife. And she says my beak is coming along well and it will be good as new. She thinks it will all grow back out perfectly! Then today Picabo got into Scion's cage and scratched his eye (Scions') so mom and dad are all in a panic over that. His eye is all swollen shut and they put eye medicine on it. We think it will be ok. He is eating dinner so....There is always something! Have a great week! Love, Squeaky

I like your new picture!
Great picture! You are really adorable! Don't know if I told you but I somehow wounded my beak - don't know if I caught it on the cage or if Scion got too close and grabbed me through the bars - but my beak got cut up pretty bad so my mom took me on an emergency trip to the wildlife vet (only bird vet in the state) and she superglued me back together. My beak wasn't all the way off but almost! My mom was quite hysterical but comforted me all day long and got a lot of blood on her white jacket. That was a month ago and my beak is fine and growing together well! I was very brave and perky the entire time! Another vote for you! Take care, Squeaky

Glad to hear it's getting to be nice weather up there! Our village had it's spring festival the other night. Of course I was tucked in bed (corner of cage under a dish towel- my favorite cozy spot) but mom & dad went and got to pin the sash on the spring queen! Things start late here so I never see anything and of course I don't get off the property either! I love all your pictures! I'm having a little siesta now before dinner and of course I'll have another after dinner. I left a vote for you! Write when you have a chance! Take care, Squeaky

Thanks for writing me! How are you doing? Is it cold where you live? It is usually mid-80s all the time here so we all like to hang on the terrace all day long. But lately we had a cold front come in so we are in the 60s first thing in the am and it doesn't make it out of the 70s and the wind is really blowing. It blew Scion off his cage the other day but I screamed so Mom found him and put him back! I'm the alarm system so if anything isn't right, I let Mom know! I even know when our car is coming from a block away and alert to it! Mom says she can hear me even down on the beach road! Good thing I like my sleep so I don't keep the neighbors up at night like the pesky dogs do! Take care, Squeaky

Thanks for the vote and comments. Your mom did a good job on your avatar. She must be very artistic! We do have a lot in common! I'd do anything for a peanut. My mom doesn't sing well but I still dance and bob my head all around when she sings for me. I also like to hang on the side of my cage and flap my wings for attention and for cookies. Hey there Sherbet!
You're very welcome for the warm welcome. I like to be friendly and kind. . . well, except for when I'm in a snit. Heehee, I get my beak out of joint sometimes and wind up in time out. Like yesterday morning, I was following Mom around the kitchen while she cooked, screaming at her feet. I get frustrated when feet move around too much if I want to play with them. So, yeah, I got a time out. It sure was funny though, watching those weird skin feet wandering around. They look like some kind of strange animal, and they almost seem like they're not really a part of the rest of the skin body! I think those weird skin feet actually have minds of their own. Heehee, feet, big toes. . . humans are kinda strange looking, but so cute! Anyway, have a great day- and here's a vote for you!

Thanks for visiting me.....I was reading your profile & discovered you came into your mom's life the way I did. Months after mom lost Skittles she went to the bird store where she use to buy her toys to only get a "bird fix".....and there I was!
