I work at a pet store and JayJay was brought in to try to sell. He had a very bad beak and feather problems; he also had bad nutrition while growing up.The previous ownersonly picked him up with a stick-he was very anti-social, he's doing better with that now though. He also is very flat footed, so we had to medicate his feet. I had never messed with big birds before, but something about him made me want to break through shell and become friends with him. Over the three years we've had him at the store He and I have bonded very closely; now that the owner is trying to sell the business he is giving Jay Jay to me.. Awards

Hi! My name is Jay Jay

I am a Scarlet Macaw from Kokomo, IN.

We call him a big turkey bird when he's goofing off.

44 years old   M

Scarlet Macaw

Definitely peanuts and grapes, oh, can't forget the bananas.

Where ever Mom is at. He also likes to sit on the counter at work and operate the cash register.

Men he doesn't like people messing with him and being petted on his blind side by anyone other than me.

I love my owner because she is patient with my many moods and loves me dispite all my problems. JayJay

He likes to shred paper towels. He's also taken up the habit of "goin fishin" by climbing on top of the fish tank so I will come get him!.

Always look for the good in something!.

  Gobble gobble Turkey Bird
How glad we are for both of you. Special birds for special people, amazing how we find each other. You must come visit One Eyed Jack, he also has a story to tell. Our mom had a great fear of all birds, not just large ones. Now she lives with 10 of them and loves us all & could not be happier. In our flock Ricky is the gobbler, always has a beak full and smeared in food.

Come visit me, Sweet Pea (Indain Ringneck), Baby Huey (Catalina), Oscar (Blue&Gold), Ricky (CAG), Bunky (Severe Macaw), Khanny (Sun Conure), Big Red (Green wing), Pinky & the Brain & Chicks, Lilo (Severe Macaw), Zack (Lutino Ring-Neck), Lucy (CAG), Walker (Severe Macaw), Oliver (Severe Macaw), Blush (Military Macaw), Jolly Roger (Blue & Gold) & One Eyed Jack (Severe Macaw).
