 I was mommy's first bird.
My daddy bought me as a gift from a pet shop for my mommy.
At first it was a disaster. ..Mommy didn't know anything about birds!!! She thought budgies just stayed in their cages all day.
What did she think..That I was a decoration?!?!
Well luckily I told her to do some reading and she did.
Within a week she trained me to trust her enough to step up on her finger.
After that we became good friends!. |

Flying by to say hi!
Just hovering around, and thought I would fly by and say hey to you guys, Chewbacca, Happy and Jack Sparrow. What you guys been up to lately? How was your St. Patrick's day, green and cheery I hope hehehe. Any new toys lately or tasting new food lately? Last Sunday a week ago was my first time given I think they call it spaghetti with meat sauce. Boy was that good! I sure love that and I had it on Monday too. I hope mommy cooks it again real soon I could live on that stuff. But pancakes, waffles and scrambeled eggs are favorites too. Mommy has been sick the past few days and has been home from work and yesterday I had some french toast that was good too. I like it when she is home because she leaves me out of the cage most of the time and of course I get carried away nibbling at her ears and then I nibble to hard and she really gets upset with me. But mommy is so easy going and after I give kisses to her everything seems fine, then I ruin it all by giving one last nibble (bite) and in the cage I go. Thats okay though, it usually is time for my nap, and I am out again for awhile before bed time. Its good to be the only birdie in the house, maybe it wouldnt be too bad with another one living here, I dont know. I overheard her say to Susan (my big sister) she would like to get another bird, but that is as far as it goes. She would have to get another cage and all that stuff and she cant afford it. Maybe one day I will have a birdie sister or brother. Well must fly back home mommy will be worried where I am. Fly by sometime I sure would enjoy hearing from you and hanging out (with my friends) Petie (gave you guys each a vote)Come visit me, Petie.

Hiya Happy!
That's too bad that you and Jack don't get along anymore. I have a doggie sister, and we get along well. actually, she wants to be good friends with me, but I keep her at a bit of a distance. She's just so big! She's almost 50 pounds- and I'm even small for a tiel. Very small. Anyway, the dog and I hang out sometimes, and she lets me chew on her toys. But we do get jealous of each other. when she gets jealous because mom is giving me attention, she lies in the corner, gives mom her most pathetic look, and makes the funniest whining noises. She goes "ooohwhoomph". When I get jealous I call to mom or fly over and interrupt. Heehee, I'm a lot more direct than the dog is. But she knows that I'm the alpha fid. Have a fun day, buddy. lol! Happy! What a cute name and adorable budgie, and a cute story of how you two met! Of course birds are more work than a lot of people think.. I have nine, and they always keep me guessing (and cleaning), even with all the things i've learned in six years - have had them since age 14 - anyway, here's a vote, welcome to BirdChannel!
