 My ex-boyfriend has 5 birds. When I met him I thought this was really weird. I'd never been around them before. But I fell in love.
I found a cage on sale at PetCo one night. I knew a conure was about the size I wanted so I bought the cage to get ready.
I kept beanie baby birds on the perch while I saved money to get a real one.
One Sunday my boyfriend, his sister and mom all went to different pet stores to look at birds. I fell in love with "Yoda." Mike's mom looked at the cashier and said, "He's the one. We will take him."
It was a rainy day in October and he came home with me. He's my October baby. I called him Pumpkin for a long time before I picked a name because it was fall.. |

Cricket here to give you a vote. I am a green cheeked conure also. I am 20 yrs. old and mom is afraid I wont live much longer. She tell me every day how much she loves me and I give her kisses.
