We were brought together by Max's former owner who just happened to be my friend. She had many birds at the time and not enough time to devote to Max. He wasn't really used to being the center of attention so I was asked if I wanted to take Max on a trial basis to see if I could work with him and I kept saying no until she wore me down and I figured I would take him for a week or two and then give him back but as you can imagine we fell totally in love with each other and he now has his FOREVER home where he will always be loved..

Maxi, Handsome boy, my poopie head 11 years old M Timneh African Grey fresh pine nuts in the shell or almonds just hanging out on top of the cage or sitting on my moms lap getting my head rubbed! doesn't like to be petted on his back I just love that my mom talks to me ALL the time! And cares about all pets not just birds. She is also the VP of the Staten Island Bird Club . UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN LOVED BY A BIRD, YOU WILL NEVER KNOW TRUE LOVE!.

Hi Max! My mommy loves animals, too. She loves birdies and use to raise cockatiels but now she only has me. My mean daddy isn't very fond of us birds (that is probably why I growl at him...he he he). Oh, my mommy also has chickens but she loves me much more. Mom claims I will be getting a bird brother or sister once I am older but I hate to tell her I don't think so. Max Handsome boy! Love the hat...you need it with all the snow you get up there. Your motto is so true, a bird will change your view on the world. Hi Max I said hi to sushi and wanted to say hi to you too. You have a really nice story. I dont like my back being touched either but i love my head being rubbed. My mom hung a toy in my cage. I never had them before so i thought it was to rub my head. She tried showing me how to play but i just rub my head against it. She laughs so much at me when i do it. If she puts a piece of paper through my cage i will first bite it. When i see that it's ok i try rubbing my head on that too. The stupid thing wrinkles up on me though. Mom says i just have to bite everything first before i decided whether it's ok or not. most people get mad when i bite them so they dont get to pet me. Mom suffered her share of bites the first month. Now i just bite her leg when i'm strutting for her. I dont mean to bite it, I'm just trying to show how tough i am so that she will fall in love with me like i am in love with her. Well i voted for you today for adjusting so well.
