 we got murphy with his sister, hicks. we had purchased our first 'tiel from a pet store. sadly, this was a sick bird with a cold, and only lived for 25 days :( though we were very sad, we had loved this little baby a lot in a very short time, we knew we wanted more. |

i love my avicakes more than any other treat, even millet!
 i like to hang out anywhere on my daddy, especially his head. i love the new perches near the ceiling, and the top of the gecko's tank!
 having my tail touched, not being able to snuggle my daddy
 i love to snuggle my mommy & daddy, especially! they know how to pet me just right, but they also respect my space when i'm feeling feisty! and i love my showers!
 i love to chatter at towels after my showers! i put on my "cape" and tell them what-for!.

Hello! My name's Grover and I'm a cockatiel like yourself. You're a handsome bird, with a beautiful flock and what looks like a great place to live! (Love that tree you're on; have to say, it wouldn't have leaves for long if I was allowed near it.) As it appears you're new to the BC, please let me welcome you all here. I discovered your name on Hurley Bird's page and seeing as it looks like you've struck up a friendship with her, I thought you'd like to know that today is her 2nd Hatchday! I'll just write one and leave everyone a vote okay. It'll have to be. hehehe Thanks you guys for flying by. Sure appreciate it. Hey Cool, Millet!! Mom has to get us some more. I think there MAY be enough for tomorrow. Mom took me to petco a while back and I was so worried. I didn't know what to do. But she kept telling me she wouldn't let anyone hurt me and how good I was doing. I calmed down until we got into the car and Kiwi jumped on my carrier and was tapping some sort of code out! Bugged the daylights out of me and no matter what mom did he'd keep doing it. But she said the next trip would include Sly and he doesn't do anything like that.
Hope you're all enjoying the spring. I just wish it would stay warm and not windy. Then we could go outside again. Gotta fly. Tell your mom that yes we do get it and if she has any idea about when. It was this year? We'll check it out and let you know. Mom wrote in and was surprised when she read her letter needing more articles on ring necks.
Speaking of which--Mina laid her very first egg today. Mom hopes she is finished. She's found a breeder here and is asking questions. Mina doesn't have a male so we hope she gives up now. HAHA

Dandy here. Wow thanks for the great blog. And the compliment!! Makes me all fluffed too. Oh I do like it here. And Dad's okay but it's mom who gives me the most attention. I haven't started my season, but I'm sure I'll 'warm' up to mom more as time goes by. Kiwi is sure making sweet kisses at her and he's DAD'S boy! HA! Sly is so cool, he will let us share mom's attention. She always gives him his special attention too. After all he is the first bird!!

I only go outside in my cage in the summer, I LOVE to sing with the wild birds. I HATE the cold but I like to look at the snow & this year we had PLENTY!!! looks like you also like to sit in the sunshine.Come visit me, Hurley Bird * 29066 * & Millie & Me.
