Hi Rebel,
Have you ever been to the Kentucky Horse Park? My mom wants to go before we leave KY for Florida. Louisville is another possible trip. Do you go on vacations with your mom and dad? If luck has it, I'll get to go to moms' graduation at WKU on our way down to Florida. I'll sqwauk and chirp during while the music is playing! Mom thought it'd be cute to dress me up in a little robe and cap and sit on her shoulder during the ceremony (with a flight suit and leash). After all, I helped her study! I should get a degree too!

Come visit me, Ginger.

Hi Rebel,
How're you doing? Any good "birdie" action going on in Louisville? Out here in W. KY there are no bird clubs, and no avian vet, so mom and dad take me to a local recommended vet. The vet himself is unsure of me, but I'm teaching him about parrots! His staff is more comfortable with me, and they are the ones who usually trim my wings and nails. I'll be going there in Dec for Christmas time.

I let mom know I can fly again by jumping off her shoulder and flying back to my cage after we went into the bathroom to get dads' meds. I'll have about 2 months of flying time before I get trimmed again!

Come visit me, Ginger.

  Hi from Maxie the WonderBird!
Hey Rebel! Yep, I'd keep your eye on that grey cat if it's a good bird hunter. Instinct is instinct. That's why I keep my eye on our white one, he's the only one that's ever caught things that have gotten into the house. Even though he doesn't have teeth anymore (he had a bad virus when he was younger that messed up his teeth and gums) he still has claws and he's QUICK! Sometimes I call the grey one when I'm on top of my cage, and if she's silly enough to come over towards the cage I try to drop some of my toys on her head....heehee....Hope you have a good weekend! Cya...

  Hi from Maxie the WonderBird!
Hey Rebel! I agree. We have a grey cat here as well. She's older so she's not too bad, but the white cat is a little sneaky. I keep an eye on him. I pretty much ignore the cats, but I do like to chase after the you had a nice Easter! Cya...

  Hi From Ginger
Hi Rebel,
I'm glad you and your mom survived the Ice Storm as well. I did NOT like spending time in my carrier. It was the first time I've ever spent more than 30 minutes in it. Mom usually takes me places in my travel cage, but since I wasn't even supposed to be allowed in the shelters, they had to have a way to hide me when the inspectors came around. Hence the travel cage, which could be put under the cot. Mom allowed me to have "out" time during the day at times when she could. Dad was busy helping prepare and deliver food to shut-ins. I got my share of shelter food too!

Come visit me, Ginger.

Hey Rebel! Welcome to Bird Channel! You are a brave Zon to even tolerate being in the same room with the furry four-leggers after an experience like you had! I am very glad that your beak is growing back. Come and see me anytime....Cya...

  Hi Neighbor!
Hi Rebel!
Did you always live in KY? I live in KY now, but used to live in NY, where I was born and raised. As far as I know, we are the closest of neighbors here in BC. We past Louisville on the outskirts when we moved down here, but haven't been there since.

My mom and dad wished they had moved to Eastern KY, as there are more mining and computer jobs there than there are in W. KY!
Come and say hi!

Come visit me, Ginger.

  Hi Rebel
Yep green it is here for us too with both me and chi chi. Mom cleaned our houses and then didn’t give us our food!! Now that sure isn’t right but later she gave it to us and then her and dad snuck out of the house….now I know why she held the food back hummmpptttt. Oh well at least they didn’t stay real long so guess that was ok. Some fids (friends) come into our lives and quietly stay. Others stay for a while leaving footprints in our hearts and we are never the same”. Stop in anytime and just like motel 8 I will leave a light on for you!! V4U….beaky kisses, Gus

Come visit me, ~~Gus~~ & Chi chi RIP my sweet girl..

  Rebel's story
About 10 years ago or so Rebel was minding his own business in his cage when a visiting Aerdale Terrier decided to try to have parrot for lunch. What resulted was Rebel losing more than half his upper beak. While I was in a panic he was calm and cool. He never lost his appetite and very quickly learned to eat with the side of his beak. Since then he has grown most of it back and still messes with the dogs and teases the cats. The vet thinks that in about 5 or 6 years he will have all his beak back

Come visit me, Rebel.
