I live in Metro Detroit but grew up in the Walla Walla area. My parents now live in College Place. Can you recommend a bird vet for my parents. They have doves and go to their local vet who doesn't have bird experience. You can leave me info at Kitty-o, Sarah or Jupiters pages or here and I can check back. we wanted to stop bye nd thank you for the vote. my mom wanted a sengal but i got lucky. my old mom clicked with her and told her about me. she came by and the rest is history. my mom is rescues birds and animals. this is my old mom. she recued me and 2 cockatoos during the big fire last year. i was still a baby. but luckly my new home has never had to deal with the sana anna winds starting fires. i am happy healthy and glad to be in my new home. well look at me talked about me me me jojo jojo jojo. lol here is a vote for you.

Boo's been gone for about 8 years. I just finally put him up here to remember him. Since he was such a wonderful parrot. Three months before he past on. almost lost him. BOO was sitting on his T-stand. Door was open. Screen door was closed. I was outside with a puppy. Other one inside and pushed the screen door. It had allowed enough room for Boo to fly to my head. Then a car drove by. Scaring him up a tree. Spent most of the night calling for the little guy. Mind you he didn't come down. So, I left his cage outside for the night. Wondering if he would survive. Because it was fall & cold. Next day on Saturday morning woke up early. First thing, was to check on Boo. Yelled his name many times. But, no answer. Went back inside. Started to hear or thought I did. Here I go back out.This time walked to the back yard. There he was flying overhead. Being chased by a big crow. Couldn't imagine this sun conure with clipped wings flying faster then a none clipped wings crow. He was amazing in the air. I'm on the ground calling his name and praying he would land in a tree. I could climb up into. The end he actually did in someone elses yard. They were very helpful getting him down. Got my little Boo back. 3 months later something scared him so bad he died from a heart attack. Never found out what it was though. We buried him and two ferrets in a forest.
