 I was at a local pet store where the people there didn't really know much about birds.
My mommy started working there and noticed that I was starting to pluck my feathers because someone had trimmed my wings improperly. I couldn't even balance on my perch:( Needless to say my "future mommy" was very angry! She yelled at the mean lady who cut practically all of my flight & covet feathers off.
Then she decided to take me home. THANK GOODNESS!!! I slowly became more & more outgoing with each new wing feather that grew in. My Mom spent a lot of time building my trust, since I had none being in the store. She gave me new foods and toys.
Eventually we became Best Friends. Now she teaches me new words and I'm even starting to sing:)My favorite song is The Addam's Family Theme. I can whistle it very well, but still need to work on the words!(laughing- ). |

Hi Zulu, you are quite a handsome young Grey. I should know, since I have been around the block for almost 22 years!
I have used my three best words for the Subject line. I say more, but Grandma can't figure out what the heck I am saying. She's a 'geezer too! Ha Ha Ha. (*!&% rude noise)!
I am working on my newest song, 'Found a Peanut". I would rather whistle it, but grandma preferes me to use my words!
I am new here too and don't have a clue what a VOTE is good for, but here is one for you!

I'm so glad you got a good home. I found a grey that I would kill to have at a local store. She's already talking: she said hello, hi, and what's going on to me a few days ago. Too cute. She's in a tiny cage with a small toy, no mental stimulation at all. I wish I could take her out of that environment but don't have the experience yet for such a large bird. Just my tiel for now. Have a vote and have a good life. Come visit me, Canyon & Luna.

Your mom was so sweet to adopt you. So you are a singer too. I sing Yankee Doodle Dandy, Itsy Bitsy Spider and a host of other songs. In addition I talk up a storm and dance. Pretty talented for a medium sized Hahns Macaw. Hope your stay is very enjoyable. Here is my vote for you. Hope you can stop by and visit.
