We have allways owned parakeets and we wanted to get a bigger bird so we got a cockatiel. Jo Joe was so smart the he would play basketball and do all kinds of whistles. Dad became allegic to the powder down in the feathers so we steped up to a Macaw. Babyhuey was from a private breeder and so from the time he was born Mom got to feed him with the syringe and then moved up to a bottle. She would go each day to the breeders home to feed him. After Baby Huey was winged off the liquids we were able to bring Baby Huey home. Mom is medical retired and is able to spend alot of time with Baby Huey and every day you would see amazing things he would do. Mom and Baby Huey became such a team they joined the Miami Valley Pet Therpy Assocation and after they finished the 6 week cource and graduated they would go and visit people in the hospital and nursing home. The best time Baby Huey would have was at the VA Hospital and the veterians loved seeing him. Baby Huey would wear a harrness and when that is put on he new it was time to visit. He would sence patients on how they felt and would let them pet his feathers and he would give kisses to them. Mom and Baby Huey have been in the Heartland Nursing Home News Letter and Arthritis Walk. They don't do as much as they used to but Baby Huey still loves it when it gets summer so he and Mom can sit out in the yard and talk to all the children it the neighborhood. Baby Huey has been the best therpy for our family and friends..

Active within 2114 Days Hi! My name is Baby Huey I am a Blue-and-Gold Macaw from dayton, OH. Baby, Punkin 11 years old M Blue-and-Gold Macaw Graham Crackers, Mandrin Oranges Baby Huey loves the outside and the attention he recieves when we do our visits to schools and hospitals Doesn't like the flash light and he wants everything you are eating. Mom and Dad really care alot about me they have me see a doctor 2 times a year for a physical and they take me on vacation with them to Church camp, Gatlinburg, and even been to Nashville. Going through his whole list of words and trying to out talk us when were on the phone.. What ever you give to someone to make there day you recieve a blessing many times more,.

Baby Huey You are my hero. I think it's wonderful that you help others with your mommy. My mommy use to have a blue/gold when she lived in the States, but she wasn't able to do what you are doing cause her bird had been abused. Now she lives in Durban, South Africa and she can't do it. Tweety needs your votes for her poem. Her foot had to be amputated Feb. 26th due to the main blood supply being cut in her leg. We had to separate her from her cage mate. I wanted to get her a big cage to move (fly around) in and after paying 258.00 for her leg to become amputated we could not afford to buy her the cage of her dreams. We notice that she flies a little to get around her cage and can defiantly use a bigger one. Hello Baby Huey It's so nice you and mommy visit the elderly. You both are a blessing to this world! It really makes a difference in what you both do. My mommy would love to do that with me, but all in time. I was rescued by my mommy from a closet....she works with me everyday, and now I'm kissing her all the time. Boy its cold !!!! Hi! Boy it has been cold here with -15 wind chill. I have been having fun with one of my favorite people,Mom and Dad's grandson, He gets me out and I get to walk around on his arm and we play on the loveseat while we watch TV.
