  Hi CeCe
I haven't heard from you for awhile, so I thought that I would stop by and make sure everything is going OK.

Things are finally starting to warm up and I've been able to get outside with mom. It feels really good to be in the sun and fresh air. My dog sister went outside this morning and got sprayed by a skunk. Mom says that I'm lucky that I don't have a good sense of smell. Mom has been trying to get the smell out of the house all day today. Maya (the dog), thinks that skunks are like cats, so she tries to play with them. Most dogs learn their lesson after the first time getting sprayed, but not her. She usually gets sprayed 5 or 6 times every year.

Well, I've gotta fly. I'll talk to you later. Have a great week.

  Hi CeCe and BeBe
Thanks for your sweet comment. No, you guys aren't the only ones that prefer one sex human to another. I was abused by the husband in the last family that I lived with, so I am terrified of men. Koki, mainly loves mom, but she will go to other people if they feel comfortable being around birds. JoJo will go to almost anyone, but he may also give them a little nip if he thinks he can get away with it. But mom also knows two Umbrellas with preferences. The female at the zoo where mom volunteers, was taught by a zookeeper to attack one of the male employees. She now thinks that it is OK to attack all men. Mom is working with her to break that bad habit. And a male that used to be at the same zoo, definately preferred women, and especially blondes. So no, it's not just you two. And that's very common with most parrots, not just 'toos.

Have a great weekend and I'll talk to you soon.

Mom was flabbergasted when she saw how much a bird like you costs in Australia. In the US, a rose-breasted runs around $2000 or more. I've never seen a Little Corella advertised, so I don't know what they go for. Australia has had export laws for quite a while now. They will only export birds that have been owned by somebody that has lived in Australia for at least a few years and is moving out of the country. They also will export to zoos and other education facilities, but the paperwork is enormous. But that's to protect Australia from having their native species being wiped-out due to over zealous animal traders. So you can't really blame your government, they're just doing what's right for your native animals.

I'll talk to you again soon. Left a vote for you.

  Hi CeCe
Thanks for writing back. I don't know if I would like it living in the hottest state in Australia. It gets cold here, but at least we have heat in the house. Mom doesn't have air conditioning in our house, so summers can be a little miserable. When it gets to be about 85 degrees (about 30 celsius), I start to pant and get cranky.

If your mom doesn't mind, my mom is interested in how much a bird like you sells for in Australia. Here in the US, a Major Mitchells (Leadbetter) would cost $15,000 or more. She has always heard that it isn't much, that cockatoos are actually considered pests in Australia. Is that true? She knows about export laws, so she isn't thinking of purchasing one, she was just curious.

Hope to hear from you soon. Take it easy.

  Hi CeCe
Just stopping by to say Hi and see how things are going for you. I'm just waiting for some warmer weather so I can get outside with mom. We live about 8 miles away from Lake Superior. It can be 60+ degrees 20 miles away, but by our house, it will only be about 40 degrees. Maybe later this week it will warm up. Do you and BeBe get a chance to be outside much?

Mom wants the computer, so I gotta fly. I'll squawk to you later.
