Hi Zazu! It’s so nice to see another NY Hahn Macaw hanging out in this club! I assume since your momma saw you in the pet store you were born in NY. Not me. I was hatched in Texas; I was then flown to NY by my momma when she saw me listed and ready to go to a home. I also bark like a dog and laugh constantly. I love to laugh when I hear momma laugh! Tweety needs your votes for her poem. Her foot had to be amputated Feb. 26th due to the main blood supply being cut in her leg. We had to separate her from her cage mate. I wanted to get her a big cage to move (fly around) in and after paying 258.00 for her leg to become amputated we could not afford to buy her the cage of her dreams. We notice that she flies a little to get around her cage and can defiantly use a bigger one. Hi pretty bird! Mom was trying to adopt a macaw until we came along. I guess we needed to be with her more. First it was just me and that was pretty cool. I liked being the only bird. Then came snuggles. He's ok but he's always watching me and copying what I'm doing. Mom says I gotta be a good role model so he can learn to be a good bird. He bites mm and screams alot. Zazu Hey I wish I could see that white thing in the box hee hee must be funny especially to see a little thing come out. My mommy always tells everyone she wish she could of seen me being born. Hi Zazu I saw that you like to get nippy on the shoulder. I do too. Mom rescued me 4 months ago. I will go on her finger with no problem. I dont like anyone else so it's just her. But then sometimes when she's not ready i will run up on her shoulder. Once i am up there though she has a hard time getting me down. I will bite her finger or a stick or anything that tries to get me off. If she moves her head to much i will try to bite that too. Sometimes just for fun i bite her ears. I dont think she likes it by the sounds she makes. She tries not to let me up there but sometimes i just jump right up there. or i run before she can stop me. WOW YOu sure are not alone there with all them birds and their white oval things in nest boxes cool. I won't tell hee hee. Sometimes when I am on my mommys' shoulders I nip her lip for her to scratch my head. That is my way to say pet me. She knows I won't bite her face but I can tell she always still watches me. :) And she knows my body language very well , and will put me down when I am a little moody. Doesn't happen often, I am a pretty good bird. I miss her she works alot and when she gets home I bark like the dog. hee hee.
