Sly here. Welcome to BC and here's your first vote!! I'm so happy for you to have such an understanding mom. We used to have a Patagonian. Kiwi named him Big Bird and that is the only name he ever answered to. HA You are beautiful to look at too. BB never was because he plucked. Yeah, mom loved him and told him how pretty he was, but let me tell you he pulled all his chest feathers off and I didn't think that was pretty. Mom had to find him a new home because he was trying to take all of mom's attention away from me and I figured if she wanted a naked bird I'd make myself naked. She didn't want that. Now BB has his own person he doesn't have to share. I hear he still plucks, but right now I think it's breeding time and he wants a mate. I haven't tried to pluck since he left either. Now that I have mom more or less to myself. hehe
