 I wanted a hand fed baby and found an ad for Beakers Parrot Place in my recent copy of Bird Talk. They were semi close by in Seattle, WA. So I looked up the website and saw that they had a Sun Conure baby available so I emailed them and 2 months later I got my little boy Piper. These people are great! If you want an awesome baby, these people are the way to go!!. |

I am a Sun Conure from Hayden, ID.
 Piper Cub,Cubby,Buzza- rd Beak, Chubba-Wubba, Bucko, Squawking Jackass (SMILE). Yellow headed woodpecker

 Sun Conure
Nutri-Berries, dried fruit, bananas, pasta, cashews, walnuts, sunflower seeds and birdy muffins when Mommy makes them.
 On his playstand that Mommy made for him. Down on the floor with his basket of toys. I love to play on my Mommy's bed and roll on my back to play with her bootie socks.
 When my Mom makes me take a shower with her. I like it when it's over, but I pout the whole time during it. I'd rather take baths in the dog's water bowl!
 That she likes to cuddle me in the evening before bed time. She gives me lots of treats!! She takes me practically everywhere with her even on her motorcycle. In a carrying cage of course!
 Clucks like a chicken when he's playing by himself. Makes little Raw Raw Raw sounds when he's snuggling down in his blanky or tent to go nighty nite..
 "Men may come and men may go, but your birds stay with you forever." (See my Daddy recently pushed my Mommy and me out of his life.).

Thanks for stopping by my page! Here's a v4u, crazy bird! haha, you sound like such fun to play with! It's too bad you live so far away :o( I'm so jealous you get to ride on your parents' motorcycle! I can't go on daddy's, he's got a really fast bike and only he and mom fit on it. They have to leave me at home when they go riding :o( Mom just takes me places in her car- I love to face backward and watch the world go by :o) I'm only about 10 months old, but I started getting my yellow feathers in at the beginning of summer, when I was maybe ... 5 months or so? My parents got me at PETCO in April, and it didn't take long for me to get the yellow feathers on my back now. Mom said she liked be better green though. It WAS a pretty color, but I'm getting big, so she's gotta deal with it, hehe. Yours will come in soon, don't worry! You're still handsome as ever! Thanks for the vote and note. Yes, it would be nice to live closer and compare notes. I have a banker friend that just got a small conure and she is having a lot of fun with it. I am sharing my Bird Talk magazines with her. I need to tell her about bird channel.
You are so cute playing with your wiffle ball. I don't play much - guess I got too old. Mom has tried to get me to play but I would rather preen her eyebrows or bangs. I try to preen Babi's hair (she is the Yorkie that lives with us) but she is afraid of me - guess I have her buffalo'd. Would love to hear how things are going with you.

Love the idea of starting a get together for us bird-brains! Plus it is great for youngsters like yours to be around new people and birds. Maybe we could do a posting in the Pet section of Craigslist- I would even consider a bbq at our place. The yard is fenced so no danger of strange dogs running in and creating havoc. I have two small dogs but they would be confined to the bedroom. Let me know what you think... Btw- yours is a beautiful baby. Happy 4 Month Bird-Day! :)
The scrapbook was a cute idea. Don't forget to put in the first feather lost! My mom got me a new smiling pineapple toy today. I go through them so fast, they are the best! Have you had one? They are pretty popular. When she put in in my cage I just started laughing because I was so excited. lol Your new pictures are so pretty, don't you just love being outside?Come visit me, Rio.

Such a pretty bird! :) My mom has been keeping a a monthly photo time line of my color change, and we checked and saw that I started to get a few yellow colors on my wings around the 4th and 5th months. She was worried that I may be a Jenday too. I sure showed her! What was really sweet was that at one point I had a heart shape of yellow feathers on my back!Come visit me, Rio.

Apollo here. :) My mom wanted me to tell you to tell your mom that it does take some time for the feathers to turn yellow/orange. I was almost two by the time all the green vanished on my back. The tops of my wings took another 6 months or so. Every year more green falls off and more yellow and orange grows in. I sure do molt a lot because of this (and so will you!). My mom also says you should eat dried papaya, which makes my poop messy but the vet told her it would help bring out the colors! :) You look like I do, so I don't think you're a Jenday! Come visit anytime! :)
