  Hi Josie Girl
Welcome to BC. Friday here, I had to fly by to welcome a fellow grey and cast a vote too! You're sure pretty. You know, I'm still single. : ) I bet you drive everyone crazy when you mimic that car alarm. My mom goes nuts when I start that. I guess I love to mimic every sound, including my dog, Romeo, when he whines. You'll love it here and I'm sure you'll make many friends. Fly by when you get a chance...

Come visit me, Friday & Casper.

  Hello Josie!
You could be "Rocket Birdie's" twin!!! It also looks like you love to shred paper, too... (just like Rocket does). We read your profile and I see that you love peanuts!!!! Rocket loved peanuts, too. However, Mom read an article in Bird Talk Magazine about 9 months ago about a Macaw that died from "Aspergillosis", which is a bacterial infection that can be caused from eating shelled peanuts. Appparently the shells of the peanuts can carry this bacterial on them. Aspergillosis is also caused from the use of corn cob bedding, but in this particular bird's case, it was the peanuts. Once Mom read this, she took away my shelled peanuts! :-( Now she gives me a bit of toast with peanut butter spread onto it; and that satisfies my peanut craving! Better to be safe then sorry. The person that wrote the article for Bird Talk said that they were doing it to help out other bird owners...if they saved even one parrot, then their precious Macaw did not die in vain. Incidentally, they had 2 Macaws, but as I remember only one of them got the aspergillosis infection. I just thought I would mention this to you. Your Mom may want to look into it. We are also not allowed to have rope or fabric toys in our cages. Please read "Zazu's" story and comments about these items. (We want to help save the lives of our precious birdie friends, too.) You are a gorgeous african gray; and here is a vote for you! Fly on in for a visit anytime!
