The Pullets: Bit O Honey & Eleanor

(These girls are chickens, not songbirds!) When Kluckie, Ginger, Emma, Lightning and Clara were killed by the fox, we wanted to get more chickens. A week after the fox attack, we got to pick up four pullets (young hens). Sadly, two of them did not survive (those are the two white ones, Blizzard and Angel.) They were meat birds and could not live a good life when they were so fat. They are NOT canaries, of course. Honey is a Red Link, and Eleanor is a Araucana. Someday she will lay blue, green and pink eggs!!!. Awards
