Today is a sad day for our family. Merlin passed away and momma can't stop crying. When she came home Griffin was screaming and she found little Merlin on the bottom of his cage. Griffin knew something was wrong. Merlin hasn't been well for a long time and momma did everything she could to help him. He doesn't have to suffer anymore now. When momma left for work this morning she got Merlin out and gave him a kiss on his head. He knows he was loved so much by everyone. Rio is gonna be very sad because they were buddies and always ate dinner together. Please keep us and momma in your prayers.

So today was the big day that Grandma left for England! It's wonderful that she gets a chance to go. Our mom knows what it's like to travel with no spending money. We're a one income family so there's rarely anything left over for extras. For vacations they go stay with relatives, and there's usually just enough money for gas and maybe a couple little souvenirs but nothing else.
When does she get back?

The person that got sick on the train had a "diabetic issue", according to Grandma. They made several overhead announcements asking for either a doctor or a nurse to go to that car. The Girl, age 12 texted her mom saying they needed a nurse - as if her mom could do anything from Cleveland!
Is your grandma ready for her trip? It must be hard to pack to go overseas, figuring out what and how much to take.

The Girl and Grandma got held up in Fort Morgan last night; there was a medical emergency on the train and the person had to be taken off to the hospital. They eventually made it to Lincoln, NE where they'll be staying the rest of the week before returning home. Hope your mom's trip is less eventful when she goes to Champaign!
Wishing your grandma a safe trip to England. Sounds like fun - you'll have to tell us what the pet shops are like.

The Woman Who Feeds Us came from a small town, too, but now we live in Cleveland. She likes to go back and visit but she's not sure she'd want to live there again. Maybe after the kids are grown and she's retired.

We get the same snowbirds in Alabama that go to Flordia being that we live so close. You can be in Florida in less than an hours drive from where we live. Momma grew up near the beach and she saw lots of snowbirds. Thanks again for the BOTD wishes. I had a great time even though I am not feeling the greatest. The doctor changed my antibiotic and I just got a dose of it. My other meds have to be ordered and compounded and will not be ready until Monday. Momma is going to get some milk thistle tomorrow which will help my liver and kidneys. It is just gonna take awhile to get better. I have been sick for a long time and just didn't tell momma. She is a good momma and is doing all she can. Hopefully, within the next few weeks I will be lots better. Thank you for everything.

Thanks for making me BOTD today. I am living it up at the castle. Being BOTD really cheered me and momma up today. I am still waiting on my medicine to be made and hopefully tomorrow I can start it. I am doing ok though and eating lots of good foods in the meantime. Thanks for being my friend and for all of your support.

We're back from vacation! And we had an awesome time! We got to live in an aviary for a whole week. They had to chase and chase us when it was time to go back in our cage and go home. We loved being wild and free budgies!
Tell your grandma that Englishmen are for playing with but not marrying! Other than the accents, there's nothing special about them.

Our mom would love to go to England. Sure hope your mom has a good time!
We're having a blast at the bird sitter's. She has an aviary so we're free 24/7. It will be a real bummer to have to go back to our cage when the week's up.

Oh, gosh, I love football (Packers, of course!) and Baseball (Brewers). Mom likes the Steelers, too, cuz they are in a different league, but they are a tough team like the Packers. Mom keeps trying to get me to say Touchdown! but I just raise my wings instead. She is happy with that. And no I don't have a cheesehead but Mom says she should get me one.

Glad you had a nice hatchday. Yes mom made the earrings from mine and Chi chi feathers. Chi chi are almost an Indian type and mom put 2 of mine together. The others thing is hair feather clips and mom just used fake feathers on it. Glad you liked them. Sorry if our blogs didn’t make a lot of sense last night. Two pickups hit head on right in front of our house. The impact was very loud and actually shook our house. We and others called 911 but it was too late for one of the drivers since he must of passed right away. Two others were life flighted. Our yard was full of people and good thing others could help. Mom gets sick to her stomach ever since skin sis got hurt many years ago. “People often ask “how can you be friends with someone you have never met?
