Good Morning Rusty!
I just wanted to come by & wish you well for your game today! I hope you get to hit another meteor like you did last game! WOWZERS!

What a racket this morning! Mom's mate was up before the dawn revving up that noise maker he calls a motorcycle! Had the whole household up! Well, that's only Mom, me, & the three cats, BUT STILL!! Birds get up early as it is! This was a terrible time for anything alive to be awake!

Yesterday when Mom & her mate went out for breakfast, they went through the nearby town of Waxhaw. There are great big electric signs up saying that filming would be taking place in Waxhaw today & tomorrow!! "Expect Delays." It seems they are filming a movie!!! It wouldn't be the first time the little town of Waxhaw would be in films! I hope Hollywood doesn't discover how greyt it is here or the population will explode more than it already has! Ehh….it's hard to keep a good thing quiet for very long.

Hi Rusty, my 2nd base bird,
like Kelly said, you owned it yesterday. Congratulations on a well played game. It was such a close one but we all came together and rallied and pulled it out.
I am very proud of our team, each and every one of you.

We are having grey't weather, I am doing a lot of exploring around the bird room and now into the kitchen, I am thinking about going into the laundry room next. I saw mom open a cupboard door yesterday and now I know how to open it but old eagle eye, mom keeps catching me before I have the chance but one day...mom uploaded a video of me flying home. When mom tells me that it is time to go home, I usually walk part of the way and then when I get closer I fly and land on the side of the cage. This is all new to me, I never ventured very far for about 11 years, I just stayed around my house but now I get down on the floor and now I can fly. I have always had my full set of wing feathers since I came here but just now decided to try them out...

I'll let you know when BC releases it so you can watch it if you want to.

Oh boy. Do I know about being rather slow at getting out a note or two these days. It's beyond bad, it's pathetic. And likely hopeless. *sigh* But I've got this precious moment now and I'm taking full advantage of it by coming by here to see how you are. Enjoying outside time I'm sure. Sure wish your Mom had had a camera close at hand the other day when you were twirling on your boing and laughing as you went roudn and round. Sounds like you're still ever the clown!

I'm getting just a little aviary time these days. Believe it or not, it's still almost too cool for a parrot to be outside! And on June 4... amazing. The parronts are loving these cools temps but if you ask the parrot clan here, we're not the least bit thrilled.

I have to confess that my official nickname now is The Pill. These flighted wings of mine have managed to led me into more trouble than I thought this little Grey girl possible of. Oh my! I can't stay off of forbidden places and refuse to stay put even long enough for mom to step out of the room to grab something. WeeeE! I'm off to the counter and on the hunt for something to sink my beak into. I discovered today that unbaked squash are about the hardest thing next to oak, but the ripe bananas gave a quick reward for my efforts. Life is so exciting when you have a means for traveling!

Thank you for your visit, and you're so right; we should do this more often. I wish you as much luck on that as I'm wishing for myself.

Hello Rusty! Good To See You!
Hey everybirdy! Sorry to have been out of touch for so long but Mom was away in Alabama. She did try to touch a few bases (haha) by using her iPhone to check into the BC to see how things were going. Mom discovered the hard way how SLOW it was using her iPhone there at her sister's home. Maybe it was the internet connection there, but it took forever to download just one page. Oh, yeah, Mom doesn't navigate to well on the iPhone, either! Big swollen fingers > tiny phone buttons. Oh my! Her frustration levels were off the chart! Heeheehee!

I just wanted you to know that I'm back and giving a "squawk out" to all of you. I MISSED YOU!! And it's great to be back.

My team is playing today against those CrackerJack Cuties. Oh, excuse me, CrackerJack Conures. They're a great team to play against and we'll be having to give it our all. We're going for a win! At least, I hope so.

How are u sweetie? I haven't been on BC the last few days coz mom has been very busy! I don't understand why blogging to my friends had to take a backseat...my social life should be mom's top priority! Well, I guess I'll let it slide this time, coz mom was helping my sissy! Sissy & her hubby are licenced foster parents, & received a long term placement on Friday...2 very sweet sisters ages 5 & 11. A month ago the girls spent a weekend at sissy's, & were very happy that they were being moved to her house! Their parents are both heroin addicts & have no desire to get clean! Mom & the 5 yr old bonded over pics of me, & she calls her Grammy, just like the other grandkids! The girls came with 3 carloads of stuff, so mom has been going over everyday to help sis get things put away & organized! Mom stayed home all day today, so I had plenty of mommy & me time!
It's a good thing too, coz mom will be gone ALL DAY tomorrow! Sissy is taking mom's 9 yr old grandson & the 11 yr old girl to an amusement park for the school picnic, & mom will be watching the 3 younger kids! Mom will stay home all day Friday to make it up to me! I sure hope that means that I'll also get "sketties"!

How's things with you? Keeping yourself out of trouble, or like me, constantly in it. Yes, I said I was constantly in trouble. Little sweet Kelly~Bird has turned into a giant PILL, a pain in the tail feathers, a full-blown busy-body bird. Gone are the days of this little Grey bird sitting still in one place, taking in the world all around her. Now I'm off and checking out my world and rearranging it if given half a chance. If you here any loud squawking coming from this section of the country, it's probably my mom yanking out the last of her hair as she chases after me, picking up stuff I've tossed as she goes. Who knew being a PITA could be such fun!!

I'm ready to take this pent up energy to the field tomorrow. I'll be hoping to see you there too.

How are u sweetie? Nothing happening today...thank goodness! Mom spent the whole day at sissy's house yesterday, watching a 14 month old boy. My sissy watches him but wasn't available yesterday, so the little tyke's mom asked mom to watch him coz he loves mom! Mom watched him from 10am-5pm & only sat down once when she fed him, & swears she did 5 miles chasing him around! Mom was so exhausted that after she put me to bed, she went to bed at 8:30!

Mom is feeling much better! The cortisone finally kicked in & she has some relief in her shoulders & her nose is healing nicely! She said that she can breathe better out of the right side...but she said NO WAY will she let me Roto-Rooter her left nostril!

How are u sweetie? Mom only got a few blogs out yesterday, so she's sending the same blog with some new added to it! Mom got her cortisone injections in both of her shoulders yesterday, which she gets every 3 months. She usually gets some relief almost instantly, but her right shoulder actually feels worse today! Mom also went to her granddaughter's preschool graduation last evening! I had an exciting day today! It was mom's granddaughter Olivia's last day of preschool, & I got to go! Most of Livi's classmates came running up to mom at the graduation last night, very excited that I'm coming to their class today! Mom takes me to the preschool classes there every year, & I love seeing all the kids as much as they love seeing me! The only difficult part of any excursions, is mom getting me back into my carrier!

Mom is doing good today, but her nose is very sore! Mom has been giving me belly kisses for nearly 16 yrs, without incident! It's swollen on the right side & a bit bruised, even tho the damage was done on the inside! Because my nails & toes are so long, most of the damage was 2 inches down in the nasal cavity! The ER Doc said it was a good thing mom had previously had her adenoids removed, coz my nails would have destroyed the right one! Mom has to be rechecked in 2 weeks, or immediately if she starts bleeding again! She had to be cauterized in 4 different places & has to take an antibiotic! Mom said that the scariest part of having my toes stuck up her nose, was that she was very afraid my 2 toes would end up broken...mom was very relieved that my toes are absolutely fine! Mom refers to this incident as "NoseGate 2013"!
Mom doesn't want anyone to think that the ER Nurses & Docs were being discourteous, they were not! They were picturing a tiny pet bird, like a Budgie, not a large Macaw! Mom showed them a pic of me, they weren't expecting me to be so big! When mom said "Be glad I got her loose before I came in"! That's when they started laughing!

Thanks for stopping by! Yup, we have 3 rescues, a golden/yellow lab mix, a black lab and a Chesapeake Bay. We don't call them, but Athena will holler "hey" if the Chesapeake barks too much. She learned that from mom. But, she doesn't listen either, haha!

How are u sweetie? I didn't do my blogging yesterday, mom & I were involved in a bizarre, freak accident early yesterday afternoon! I was unscathed, but mom wasn't as lucky...she's fine now, but very sore!

When mom is holding me, I like her to kiss my belly! She kissed me on my birdie nose, then I told her KISS BAAALLY! At the same time she raised me up, I lifted my left leg, & somehow, my front 2 toes slipped into mom's right nostril & GOT STUCK! Of course I'm past due for a nail trim & my nails are extra long & very sharp! I was struggling to get my toes free & mom was howling in pain! Thinking it was a game, I quit struggling & started squealing! Mom gently grabbed my foot & turned her head & my toes came out!
My poor mom was gushing blood! She grabbed paper towels to try to control the bleeding, got me to step up onto her cane, squirted my foot, put me in my cage, & took off for the emergency room! To make matters worse, they couldn't help laughing when mom told them how the injury occurred! That was a story that they NEVER heard before! Mom spent 3 hrs at the emergency room & had to have her nostril cauterized! Mom is fine, but her nose is very sore! I don't think that I'll be getting belly kisses anytime soon!

Reba here with a rather tardy thank you for your visit back on the day I was Queen of the BC for a short while. Thank you too for the congrats on the win at Kevlar Field. I have to admit, it felt good. There's always a little regret to winning when you're playing against worth adversaries who are also friends. That part's hard. But it was a good game, well played by both teams I think.

Hoping your weekend is affording you some time outside. Today's a no-go for us as the wind is wicked and there's storm warnings brewing. Sure looks like a pretty day to go out though, all sunny and warm. The fact the trees are all bent at odd angles should tell me though that it's not parrot-friendly out there.

How are u sweetie? Mom must REALLY be guilt-ridden! She's still falling all over herself to take care of my every desire! She held me & played with me until she had to leave for her Drs appt, then got me out of my cage as soon as she returned! Tho, mom was very weepy when she got back. The vet's office had called her, her precious Chloe's ashes were back, mom stopped there to pick her up. Chloe's urn is a beautiful decorator jar. Now mom has her precious Chloe back home forever!

I knew exactly how I would cheer my mom up! First, I gave her some big beakie kisses, told her LOVE U, then proceeded to tell her all about my game! MOM, WE WON OUR 1ST GAME! IT WAS REALLY CLOSE THO! THE GREYS PLAYED THEIR HEARTS OUT, & THEY ARE GOOD FRIENDS, SO AS HAPPY AS I WAS FOR US, I WAS SAD FOR THEM! Mom smiled & gave me a cuddle & some kisses, & said she was very proud of me! Not for winning, but for being a good sport & thinking of my friends' feelings!

The school across the street was having their annual carnival, so mom took me over so I could gawk at all the kids & say HI! I was a regular birdie ambassador! I was on my best behavior! I kept saying HI, did my tricks, let a bunch of kids pet me & gave out a couple kisses to a couple brave souls, but mostly to mom! Mom bought a couple pieces of pizza, so I lost interest in the crowd of people & focused on the food! Mom stuck me on her shoulder so she could carry our pizza, coz mom needs her cane to walk! I was sooooo focused on the food that I was begging on the way back to our house! I'm not sure about u little guys, but when we macaws beg, we drop our heads, flatten our bodies & "gently" flap our wings! The entire walk back, I kept saying MMMMMM in her ear, & each flap I bopped her on the same ear! When we got back into our house, she couldn't hear out of her left ear for a little while! Hehehe, but I had a great time! YES, it's another great day to be me! & yes, the pizza was delicious!

How are u sweetie? Actually, it wasn't too bad being stuck in my cage, still covered & in the dark til 2:30 yesterday. Before bedtime Tuesday night, mom hung in my cage, the last one of Uncle Chuck's world-famous toys! The one that had my name spelled out...TIAMARIA! Mom is going to post a pic of what's left of my toy in my gallery! I worked it over good! So at least I had something fun to do during my unscheduled confinement period! Thanks again sweet Uncle Chuck, my toys were awesome & I thoroughly enjoyed them!

I am thoroughly enjoying mom's guilt trip! She can't do enough for me today! She's waiting on me beak & foot...even more than usual & doing & playing everything that I want to do! She even said I was having sketties & mandarin oranges for dinner! The few hours of solitary confinement was definitely worth it...considering the VIP treatment I'm receiving today! Plus, SHE hasn't left MY side all day! It was an EXCELLENT day to be me! Can't wait til the NEXT time mom screws up! Hehehe!

We've been having lovely weather here...84 yesterday, 80 today, mid 70s-80 for the next week! 40% chance of thunder BOOMS Wednesday, & 50% Thursday!

thanks for the hatchday wishes, it is actually my adoption day that is why Simon and I have the same hatchday. I came home first and then the following year Simon came home...

Well, bazebol is finally here and we have our first game on Friday against the big birds...the Major League Beaks.

We need to just relax and have some fun playing some bazebol, we have done the work so now it is time to let our muscles do the remembering...

Bazebol is supposed to be a fun game so lets have some fun on Friday...If we win that will be awesome but if we don't it is not the end of the world. The most important thing is to have fun and do your very best, that is all that I ask of you...

I have set up a bazebol page just for our team...it is page #257230. I will be posting information there from time to time so check in and let me know that you are out there and that you are still keeping in shape and practicing...

How are u sweetie? Mom is in the doghouse today because of a SERIOUS infraction! Mom had a sleepover at sissy's house last night, coz she watched her granddaughter coz sissy had to take mom's youngest grandson to Children's Hospital for an appt...poor little guy, he is 6 years old & has Celiac's Disease! Mom was going to bring Livi home with her to uncover me, but sis called & said she was almost home, to just wait then she would take Livi to preschool & mom could head home. WELLLL, she threw a fit coz she wanted her Grammy to take her to school! Of course mom caved & took her to school, but now mom didn't have time to run home to uncover me & make it back to sissy's to go & watch oldest grandson's 3rd grade program. WELLLLL, mom didn't get home til 2:30pm! Mom was upset & was afraid that I'd be very angry with her! As soon as she uncovered me, I said HI MOM, immediately gave her kisses, then looked her in the eye & called her a SILLY BIRD! I LOVE guilt trips! Parronts are such suckers when it comes to guilt trips! Hehehe! I will be firmly planted on mom's arm til I DECIDE I want to go to bed! I won't let her out of my sight tomorrow either...THEN maybe I'll let her off the hook! It's actually a lot of fun watching her type with one hand & me on the other, trying in eat the phone as she's typing! Hehehe...I LOVE paybacks!

How are u sweetie? I want to wish a belated Happy Mother's Day to ur sweet mom...that also goes for all the dads that are both mom & dad to their precious kids...be they human, furry, feathery, scaly! I hope everyone/everybirdie had a great day! Mom had such a nice time at sissy's house & spent the whole day with her 3 grandkids, tho I wasn't too happy she didn't get home til 8pm, which is my bedtime! WELLLLL, I demanded MY time with mom, so I refused to get off of her & wouldn't let her put me to bed until 10:30pm! Mom was just too tired after that to get my blogging done, only managed to get out my BOTD, BOTM & 10K blogs/votes! I fixed mom today tho! I only let her out of the house a couple times to take Sadie the wiener dog out, even then I was waiting for her at the door! The entire day I followed her everywhere she went, & made her hold me most of the day, & I sure gave mom lots & lots of kisses! I think she could use some beak stick!

The Milonga was sooooo much fun! I commend Chyna & EVERYBIRDIE ELSE that made the Derby & the Milonga such a huge success! Congrats to the Derby winners & all participants & the hat contest winners & participants! We all have wonderful homes & parronts, so each & everyone of us are winners! & a very big & sincere congrats to Kiddo & Sweetpepper on their 4th wedding anniversary! I was sooooo surprised & honored that my darling Casey & I won 2nd place in the couples hat contest! It even made my mom break out in a big smile! To all my dear friends, I won't be on the BC the next few days, other than to give Luigi his BOTM vote. Mom's heart is very heavy with grief. Our dog Chloe crossed the Rainbow Bridge this morning around 10am. Chloe was a wonderful dog & she & mom loved each other very much. She will be greatly missed. Chloe was diagnosed with lung cancer a month ago. Today, May 6th, was her 9th birthday.

How are u sweetie? Not much happening here today! Mom was busy doing things so I thought I'd follow her around & help her! My plan worked beautifully...she scooped me up & took me outside to drive my car! It looks like I'll get to go outside everyday this week! The weather guessers are calling for thunderstorms Saturday, but it's looking pretty good until then! I love to take a shower, but for some reason I freak out when I get rained on!

How are u sweetie! Another beautiful day of 72 degrees! It will be in the low 70s for the next week! I got to drive my car twice yesteray & mom took me to the school across the street to say hi to the kids waiting to be picked up! I told them hi & barked at them, played peekaboo, danced, & showed them how I play dead! Mom owed me some fun & excitement, coz she scared the crap out of me! Because of my nasty hormonal biting this year, mom always tells me she's going to pull my beak off! My beak has been pealing lately. Mom got a hold of a piece by the tip & pulled. She was holding in her hand a piece that was almost 1/2 inch wide & 2 inches long! I let out a loud squawk & started flapping! I touched my tongue to my beak tip. WHEWWWW! I thought she pulled my beak off! I think I'll take her a little more seriously from now on! Penne pasta sketties, a hunk of broccoli stalk, whole wheat bread & Granny Smith Apples for dinner! I had apple & cranberry oatmeal for breakfast, YUM!

How are u sweetie? Sorry I've been AWOL these last few days! Mom had one of her delightful cluster migraines that lasted for 5 days! She's starting to feel human again, but feels like she received a lobotomy!

It's such a beautiful day here! For the next week the temps will be in the 70s with no rain in sight! YAYYYYY! I'll get plenty of car driving time! I have been getting plenty of fruits & veggies, but now since mom is feeling a little better, she'll cook some meals for me again! I think she'll make spaghetti today, coz for the last 3 days I've been saying "eat sketties"!

DJ LUIGI here to tell everybirdy that I will be running for BOTM starting tomorrow. I wanted to greet all of you unique birds. I am a peach-faced lovebird, even childish but with a caring heart I gained from my mom. Through this message I send to each one of you wonderful birds, I wanted to thank the ones who helped my throughout this new year for gaining confidence in myself. I also thank the ones who helped me achieve my 500 mark to participate for BOTM. My reason to run BOTM is not for the winning, but for the message I bring to each one of you throughout the campaign. I also came to mention that the month of may is the month where mom is very busy with her schoolwork, where assignments and summatives are due. Very clumsy of me to pick may but however, I will continue with my campaign and thank the birds everyday for the votes. Although I may not most times respond your questions other than voting, it doesn't mean I quit on you, it simply means that mom is very busy but I will blog back "thanks for the vote! How are u sweetie? It's such a beautiful day! The sun brightly shining, but on the cool side! But warmer days are definitely in sight...67 Sat & Sun, then low 70s thru Thursday! I'll definitely be able to go outside & drive my car! Sorry we haven't been blogging the last 2 days, mom hasn't been feeling well. Mom goes for her yearly brain MRI tomorrow morning, my toesies are crossed that she hasn't developed too many new lesions!

Mom brought home lots of yummy things from the grocery store, now I need to send her into the kitchen & start cooking! She's making haluski (fried noodles & cabbage) today, & steamed broccoli! Yum...I love any type of pasta & broccoli is my favorite veggie! Mom gives me raw hunks of the stalks & I eat the delicious middles! She brought home a bag of Granny Smith Apples (my favorite apple) & I spied a few cans of mandarin oranges! I don't know why she didn't open them up, she knows they are my favorite! Maybe I'll get some & some sliced apple for dessert today! I hope u had a great day sweetie!

How are u sweetie? The nerve of my mom! Gizmo, Willie & Falco's mom & my mom went to lunch yesterday & had a buffet at an Indian restaurant! I can't believe mom didn't bring me back any food after locking me in my cage for hours! I didn't even bite mom, tho I thought about it! Hehehe! Mom said she would make sketties today, so that makes me very happy! Sketties is one of my very favorite meals! Mom always uses penne pasta coz it's easier for me to hold! That means garlic bread too! Mmmm, tho I only get a very small piece coz mom says garlic isn't good for me. Why is it that the foods that are sooooo yummy are bad for us! Who decides this anyway...I know it's not a birdie!

Geeezzzz, this crazy weather! Thursday we had a high of 85! At 10am this morning, it was 33 degrees & sputtering snow, with a high of 46! In 2 days time, a difference of 40 degrees for the high temps! Let's all hope Mother Nature gets her act together! Have a great day sweetie!

I heard that your sweet mama Betty hurt her back...boy does mom know how that hurts. Did she just over do when working in the garden and just needs a few days of rest...I sure hope so. Mom uses those Salonpas on her back and hips when they hurt...
Tell your mom to take it easy and you make sure that all of you birdies are good so your mom can rest. It is important for you her to get better first and formost above everything else...

Boy, you're quick. Look at that, you had that wing out and the ball stopped without hardly looking up for that knot you were busy untying. The GREYT GREY WINGS are so lucky to have you on the team. I was going to ask you to throw that ball on over to Coach Chloe but you may not be able to step out and play right now. I heard her mom hurt her back which likely means you're needed right here at home to supervise things while she's recovers. Oh Rusty, I'm so sorry she's hurting. What happened? Was it from building the arbor or digging in the garden? Or was it some stupid simple thing that made her back give out and give up? I so hope the pain doesn't last very long at all and that she's soon back up and running around like she's usually always doing.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

OH NO!!! Rusty I Heard Your Good Momma
...has the bad backache thing!! Oh NO!! Poor Momma! That's horrible horrible stuff! We hope she will be quickly on the mend and back to feeling 100% real soon.

I made a new friend with a little baby grey named "Spot". He's only a few months old & I invited him to watch some baseball games of us. I'm meaning "Us" as in Coach Chloe's team, too! What a cute little scamp he is, Rusty, he reminds me a lot of YOU, when you were his age! Anyway, I just thought I'd tell somebirdy from Chloe's team I did that. I also said if he took in a game with your team playing, if my team's not having to play that day, I would come and root for you birds along side him! Spot's a greyt guy and your team's a greyt team!

Give your good Momma lots of gentle hugs & kisses from me. Poor Mom. Just isn't fair. Hugs for all, SamIAm

I had Teriyaki noodles, salad, & mandarin oranges. Mmmm it was delicious! I had apple & cranberry oatmeal for breakfast again today. It was a great day to be me! Hehehe! See u tomorrow sweetie!

Awe Rusty,
You're so sweet, coming by on my hatchday and telling me things like I'm special to you — that sort of stuff will make a girl feel all soft and warm inside. It's been a very nice hatchday, with all the mom-time privileges I wanted. I didn't have to hang on the back of the birdroom door once today. I fly there and hang onto the tiki grass in the hopes of winning a rescue and then the chance to just go with mom wherever she's working in the house. Imagine I'll be back to that tomorrow because this Celebrity Status is about to end. Such a bummer.

Thank you for your best wishes. I don't have any cake to share with you. How about a piece of steak? It's what I got for lunch! It was good!
