Valla here. Let me bring you up on things since it's been so long. Dulsay and I are no longer cage mates. She started picking on me and trying to really bully me around. Well, I showed her that I may be smaller but I'm feisty!! Mom came in after hearing us going on and saw feathers flying...honest we were tearing out feathers. Right away she took Dulsay out and put her in her own cage. We got new toys too. Each of us did. I just love mine. Mom is getting a new camera so will take one of my toy....she thinks she's going to see me play with it. HA!

Valla here. Oh yeah, those plants were gooood. And mom bought us some herbs and flowers just to eat! Pansies are real good to eat. But now she took them out said they needed to grow back some. No matter what other kind of greens mom gives us I like the plants best!
We've been weird. Two weeks ago it was 80's then we had 50s now we're raining for a couple of days. and then back in the 70's the end of the week. UGH!!
The only good part is that mom stays in and makes jams and other good stuff like birdie bread.

Valla here. Want to hear what Dulsay's learned to do? She flies downstairs and visits then flies back upstairs and tells me what's happening downstairs. hehehe She wants me to fly down with her but I'm not so sure yet.
Mom gave us some soaked seed with pasta today. Oh how wonderful that was! Nearly as good as all the plants Menolly and Scrappy taught me to eat. Yeah, mom had to take nearly all the plants out because we've eaten them down real good. Then she bought us some plants to eat. She called them pansies. They were so good. Especially the flowers. She said that after the flowers come back she'll bring them back for us. I can hardly wait!

Valla here. Wow apricots! Yummy. Did she make jam? We love that. hehe Same with the peaches. Mom tried to get us to eat a fresh peach and we wouldn't but as soon as she put some on toast....well, you know how it goes. hehe
We've been real cold here...well, week before was 90s and last weekend was 40-50s BRRRRRRR Mid week is supposed to be back in the 70s. Sure glad we're in the house.

Valla here. The bird show was a major flop. Only about half the vendors showed up because they went to another show. Then there was the balloon races and camel races the same day and the pbr bull riding was here too. So all that big stuff got the attention and the birds got ignored. It was sad. But mom did get us all new toys. And got us small birds new food. So it wasn't a total flop that way.
Oh mom has been making peach jam. It smells good too. And she had one whole tree that still had peaches on it but she had to pick them yesterday because it got super cold last night. It was around 30!! And we've only been in the low to med 60s all week. They say Sunday we may get SNOW down here in the valley!! None of us are ready for that.

Valla here. Well, the state fair is past. Mom and dad spent most of this last weekend with us and now mom is getting ready for the bird show. She was going to work only one day, but was able to work around to do both days. So we won't see her much. But the toys! She promised us all new toys! She hopes more show up for this show than last year.
Sure hope you had a great weekend. There's just so much going on this time of year. Mom is going to pick some of the peaches tomorrow too. There's 2 trees heavy with peaches. Boy she's got lots of work too. But we'll have peaches this winter!!! Valla here. Mom made up a generic message so we could catch up real quick with everyone and let them know why we've been off. I'll get back soon.
We're all doing good now. Mom and dad went to the fair because the truck driving school had a display there and since dad is a teacher he had to be there. Mom went to keep him company and we were left home. Mom says it was so hot and windy she would have preferred to stay home. There were lots of dogs were around the booth since they were by the Splash Dogs booth where they had lots of dogs jumping in a big pool. We still didn't like being left alone for the week. But she's home now.
In another couple of weeks she's going to be helping at the bird show and we have to stay home. You just don't know what bugs are going around there mom says. But she did promise to bring us new toys!! YAY.

How's your weather? We've been 100+ and very very dry!! Mom keeps a humidifier upstairs for us and brings us down for the cool during the day.

Valla here. Oh yes, you should hear Dandy! Today he was sounding like me and mom was laughing at him. It's really funny because Sly and Kiwi sound like me too. Mom says she can tell when it's me because the boys are louder than me. hehehe
I love that shiny toy mom gave me. She put another in my room but I don't like it at all! I'm waiting for her to take it out.....any time now. Mom says she's going to buy me my own special mirror. Not one the same color of Dandy's so he won't be jealous. That silly bird.

Levalla here. I'm so glad your mom got back safe. Isn't it wonderful that they love us so much? I was chirping too, but mom couldn't hear me much over Dandy. Sometimes I wish I was an only bird, but then it's fun to tease Dandy. hehehe
Mom got me a new toy and I love it. It has shiny things, knife, fork, spoon. They are so fun to play with! And I play with all my other toys too now that I feel better. Did your mom get you a new toy? Oh, mom said I got one because I hadn't had a new toy since I came here. Levalla here. I found out it isn't so bad not going with mom. She was gone last week and left me, Dandy and Punkin with a friend and at first I was so worried she didn't want us any more, but then yesterday when she came and got us it was so wonderful. SHE WANTED ME!!!! And Dandy couldn't shut up either. we were singing and chattering all day. And we even got to go with her to get Kiwi and Sly. They were so happy coming home too. I wanted to stay in our room all day because it was so good to be there. Dandy was happy to stay in our room too.
