A note from Sierra to all of her friends
I just wanted to stop by and wish all my friends here on Bird Channel a nice weekend. Today is a very special day for me and my Erin. We are celebrating my 1 year of coming to live with Erin!! We are so happy today! It's seems like Erin and I have been together forever, but yet we both can't believe this day is here. It was an uphill battle (guess mom named me right, Sierra means jagged mountain range.) Just to think a year ago I was afraid of everyone now I have nothing to fear, well almost. Erin says I have grown by leaps and bounds, this past month have have also decided its okay to let select people hold me. We both feel so triumphant! It's so wonderful to live a normal happy life. Today we shall celebrate with some birdie bread and new toys!! I can't wait to get the party started :) we will take pictures and post them at a later date. So in honor of me please do something fun with your parrot today! Birdie hugs <3 SierraCome visit me, Sierra & Sam.

Tweety needs your votes for her poem. Her foot had to be amputated Feb. 26th due to the main blood supply being cut in her leg. We had to separate her from her cage mate. I wanted to get her a big cage to move (fly around) in and after paying 258.00 for her leg to become amputated we could not afford to buy her the cage of her dreams. I have never seen a birdie like you before! You are cute! Here’s a vote for you and a birdie poem: I love birds, I love them so, Life without them I’ll never know. Each day starts with a meeting, Chirps and whistles it’s their own special greeting. Fresh fruits and veggies to wash and chop, Served with warm birdie bread to fill each crop. Toys of wood, leather and bells, Makes for fun with loud squawking yells. Feathers and pellets all over my floor, Does not deter me from loving them more. As the sun fades we share kisses and scritches, Then it’s off to each cage with sweet dream wishes. I have been told the difference between cape and un-cap is only size.
