 October 22, 2007 The day my page is being dedicated to my dear sweet friend Rosalie Hale Bopp. Rosie, I will miss you and will think of you always. One day the 3 of us, you me and Rainbow will be together again at the Rainbow Bridge but, for now Rainbow and I will finish our tasks here on earth. One of them is to look out for your family, your Mom , Dad, baby sisters, LeLe, Ruby and brother Tidbit. We will also watch over your K9 and Feline brothers and sisters as well. Hello MeMorgan!
Man, I didn't drop a Happy Thanksgiving by here. I'm disappointed in myself. Turkey Day morning I was flyin' all over the BC droppin' off as many c/p Happy Thanksgiving banners. Can't believe I didn't stop here with one. Sorry Buddy.
T-Day was very laid back here with no big family gathering, only an uncle from across the street and a couple of human brothers who still base life out of home. The real bummer part of the day was that the meal wasn't served till 7 in the evening by which time I was long since back t'sleep for the day. I got turkey and all the trimmings the next day. I'm not gonna take it too birdsonal that I got served leftovers for my holiday dinner.
Stubborn Grey here? Oh, most definitely. As for new flock members, uh, yeah, I've got'm. Not sure who was here when we last talked awhile back, but now there's two greys (Kelly and Sheba aka Saber since DNA test proved he's a male), Alfie the DYHA, and Reba, the Greenwing macaw. I think she'd be the only one new that you don't now about. There are four conures and a gaggle of cockatiels, parakeets and finches. We're heft-sized flock for sure, but a happy one who all get along for the most part. There's a couple that prefer their space and I'm more than happy to give it to them.
So you've got your own FB page. Cool! My mom had a page there but she deleted it.
There's been no Christmas shopping done here and won't be. The parronts abandoned that practice years ago. Us parrots are about the only ones that get something special on Christmas Day. Aren't we the lucky ones! I put in a request for a three acre jungle but something tells me SantaBird won't be able t'fit that one on his sleigh. Oh well, it was a nice thought anyway.
That's neat that you've got a couple of miniature humans in the family now. I hear they're very entertaining creatures to watch. No grandkids here, but every once in awhile a great nephew comes for a visit. My birdroom door is the first place he heads for saying "I wanna see the big orange bird!" I guess I've got a fan club in the little three year old!
No snow here yet and I'm not holdin' out much hope for any either. Seems we get less and less of it every year. I'm like you; I like to watch it snowing. I also like it that it gets my mom so excited. She likes the chilly stuff.
Great t'chat with you. Have a good time gettin' ready for the holidays. I'm lookin' forward to watchin' while my house is all dolled up for Christmas time.

Gotta tell ya, I'm likin' this note writin' to you again. I've missed ya. Happy t'hear you're all settled in a space that gives you plenty of room for wanderin' around. I can just picture you gettin' down off your cage and trekkin' over to the couch and those blankets. I know that's right where I'd be too if I were there. I love blankets!
Reba's page number is 194337. You know us McFlocksters - we always did have our pages spread out all over the place. "Baby" is her real name and is often still called that seeing as she's known that name all her life, but here on the BC she's known as "Reba", being that she's a red-head and her last name now is McIntyre. I was just tellin' another friend about how well Reba and I get along. We're not in love or anything, just friends who like t'hang out t'gether. If we didn't get along, like your Willow, Reba would've remained in the foster program and by now have found another home. I'm glad she's here though.
I hope Miss Sadie's plucking has eased up. You're right about her needin' her winter coat on. Those cold days are comin'! Reba's done some plucking in her life. She's gray and fuzzy on the lower part of her stomach. Whatever inspired it doesn't seem to be an issue anymore. There's not been any plucking since Reba moved here. There's no red feathers growing in either so I guess the damage has long since been done.
How's your beak doin' these days? Do you still go out for walks with your halter on? Not this time of year, I know, but how about back in the summer? Any big adventures? Did you get any nasty weather from that storm SANDY? How about snow? Seen any of that stuff yet this season? Okay... enough with the questions! I'm just curious about what my dear friend's been up to lately.

Oh man! Oh wow! Oh YEAH!! It's so awesome t'hear from you. This has totally made my day. I know, I know, you wrote to me a couple of days ago. I'm just now readin' your note which is why it's today that's been made super happy. I'm so glad you managed t'sneak in with a hello. It's great to hear it again.
Things with me and the flock are good. It's changed a bit since we talked last. I've got a macaw companion now, if ya can believe that. Reba's a greenwing who came here as a foster. The bird club mom was in had a call about two macaws that needed new homes. Since mom was the only one willing to handle the big birds, she agreed t'pick them (and their huge cages) up and care for them 'till new families could be found for them. The B&G guy got one in just a couple of weeks. After he left, Reba calmed down so much (she put a lot of effort into protecting Elvis), Mom ended up asking her if she'd like t'just stay with the McFlock. Reebz and I got along pretty well right from the start and it's gotten even better with time. We actually share my cage! She sleeps on the outside but during the day comes and goes from the inside like she owns the place. We sit together inside every now and then but trust me, we don't do none of kissy-kissy stuff and I'm not about to let that big beak try and feed me anything, not that she's offered. It's pretty cool t'have a macaw pal. I think mom's still sort of shocked that there's now two macaws here where she never imagined there'd be even one.
Wow! It's just so awesome t'get t'chat with you. Thanks again for bein' such a pal and droppin' by. You put me t'shame 'cause I should've been here at your place lettin' you know you're yet in my heart and thoughts as a good friend.

My Dearest Featheriend Mr Me,
I simply cannot imagine reaching my 10,000th Vote Milestone without your having been a part of the help I needed to get me there. Nor would it be a true celebration without you. But before the Big Day actually arrives, I have something I'd like to say.
I am here to share with you a gift that would have been appropriate at Christmas. But I did not wish to interrupt flockily Holiday Celebrations with a 10,000th Vote Celebration and I have waited until the start of the New Year for that reason. It is, indeed a gift that was hard to come by and, to be sure, it is actually from Momma and me.
Momma and I know and appreciate that you all are dear and understanding featheriends to have been so supportive of my wish to achieve 10,000 votes when I began making it known a few months ago; and to have been so patient with my start again~stop again effort to achieve that goal. We also know that because of your love and featheriendship that no eggsplanations are necessary or eggspected. But that eggsplanation is critical to the story of how this gift came to be. So, with your indulgence, I shall share it with you now.
Over the past year to 14 months, Momma and we at The K Kritter Korral have eggsperienced a great deal of loss. We have bid three of our furry four-legged members Good-Bye and sent them to wait at the Rainbow Bridge with fister Rosalie. Each of them had been a part of the Korral for15 and 16 years, respectively. Then of course in April all of BirdChanneldom lost our First BazeBol Commissioner, Mr Tim, who was one of Momma’s best friends on the Planet. In June, Momma sent her only brother, and the last member of her core family, to be with Jesus.
Momma did her very best to keep BazeBol alive and well on the BirdChannel as a legacy to Mr Tim. She did all she could to be strong for Uncle Bill’s four children. But she didn’t take the time to say her own goodbyes properly and therein lay the rub for The Fids of The K Kritter Korral and our active participation on the BirdChannel. When the BazeBol Season reached its conclusion, and she would naturally have had time to contemplate the state of her heart, she endeavored to avoid or postpone that task by diving into something that I wanted very badly. The result … I disappointed many of my featheriends.
But I am not here to apologize. I come bearing a gift, as I mentioned earlier.Come visit me, `Ü´ Ruby Francesca ~ 7 is My Lucky Number Today!.

Momma finally decided to take Heavenly Father’s advice and take 30 days, as they did in the very old days in the Bible, to fully grieve her losses, before trying to move on. And one night, during her bedtime conversation with God, he spoke to her.
Momma says she knows it is God talking to her when there is a *PoP* or a *CLunK* or a *FLaSH* and a thought comes into her head that is crystal clear, and full of wisdom, that answers her question or solves her problem; and then she right away feels a sense of peace and calm wash over her like a warm summer rain. This is what God told Momma about every one she had said goodbye to this year …
YOU ARE A FAR BETTER PERSON FOR HAVING HAD THEM IN YOUR LIFE. And YOU ARE NO LESS NOW THAT THEY ARE GONE.
Momma also heard of a Pastor that told someone who was grieving the loss of her momma, “She’s not only in your past. She’s in your future too.”
My Dear BirdChannel Flockily and Featheriends, THIS is the gift I give to you in appreciation for all your love and support.
Now, shall we get that total up to 10,000 so we can have the first, biggest party of 2012, and Celebrate our Featheriendships?! I would like that very much!
