Hi Pretty
so many of you have asked when JABBER will get her very own page. Now a little history of the flock. Squak came to BC in December of 08, and it took the old guy almost three years before Screech made it. I followed just a short time later. The old guy is slowing down, and we are holding off on a page for Jabber until I make the 10K club. It's just getting to be too much for pops to do all the blogs for the three of us, and we plan on a little break before she shows her pretty face. It should be, I would guess in 3-4 months. How have you been doing? And how are the tiels? It's sure been hard to get on the BC recently. Working 5 days a week in the summer, 4 days at the feedstore, and another day at a program with 3 and 4 year-old children. I'm worn out, but it's nice not having any classes (no homework). Punkin here. I'm on a quest to become BOTM and could uses more votes. I'm telling birdies what flowers we can eat.What amazes me is the different flavors of flowers. Mom says since there are late blooming tulips I should add them before it's to late to enjoy....
Tulip Petals (Tulipa) - Flavor varies from tulip to tulip, but generally the petals taste like sweet lettuce, fresh baby peas, or a cucumber-like texture and flavor. NOTE: Some people have had strong allergic reactions to them. If touching them causes a rash, numbness etc. Don't eat them! Don't eat the bulbs ever. If you have any doubts, don't eat the flower.
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) - It has a star-burst yellow flowers that have a mild anise flavor. Use with desserts or cold soups, or as a garnish with your entrees.
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) - Sweet, floral flavor, with lemon and citrus notes. Flowers look beautiful and taste good too in a glass of champagne, with chocolate cake, or as a garnish for sorbets or ice creams. Lavender lends itself to savory dishes also, from hearty stews to wine-reduced sauces. Diminutive blooms add a mysterious scent to custards, flans or sorbets. SO YOU PICK YOUR PARRONTS :) GOOD THINKING GETTING ON YOUR POPPA CHEST SO HE WOULD NOT LOOK AT ANOTHER BIRD WAY TO GO HERE A HIGH 4'S HEHE.. YOU ARE A HANDSOME BOY. WE HAD A GREAT EASTER IG GOT SOME NEW TOYS NOT SURE OF ONE OF THEM BUT THE ONE I REALLY LIKE IS ALMOST DESTORYED. MOM SAID THAT OK CAUSE SHE GOT A COUPLE OF THEM CAUSE SHE KNEW I WOULD LIKE IT.. I LOVE MY NEW HOME AND PARRONTS I'M OUT OF MY CAGE MOST OF THE DAY IN THE BED ROOM UNTIL I GET SETTLED IN. THEN I WILL MOVE IN WITH KIWI THE CONURE MOM SAYS HE REALLY NICE. WE WILL HAVE TO MEET SLOWLY GET USE TO EACH OTHER SO IT WILL BE A WHILE.. I DO GET TO HAND OUT ON MOM LAPTOP WHILE SHE ON IT BUT SAYS IT OFF LIMITS TO ME WHEN SHE NOT IN THE ROOM HUH. THOSE KEYS THING SURE LOOKS FUN BUT MOM CLOSE THE TOP WHEN SHE DONE SO I THEY ARE NOT SO ATTEMPTING TO ME AND I STAY OUT OF TROUBLE HEHE.. Ya, it sure took me a while to get him his own profile, but I entered him in the Rio contest, and figured he definately should have his own page...I'm going to get better pics of him up soon; that picture was taken when he was a baby, still getting hand-fed.
And I finally asked my mom, she was from Valley Forge, PA...Is that anywhere near where your mom has her house, by any chance?

So good to hear from you but so sad to hear your Papa is struggling trying to save your home!! My Mom has been having more health issues so we've not been on BC much lately (hate to keep repeating) and is to have surgery again on the 26th in Houston, hopefully this will fix the problems of past surgeries!! Enough of that....I know yall are sad and upset about all the problems your Papa is having do hope God will turn things around for him and you'll get to stay in your home and he finds a good job!! Hope he doesn't have to find you a new home without him!! Hang in there! Leaving you with a vote and lost of good wishes for the future!! Do you have relatives up in Pennsylvania? My mom grew up there, and she sure loved it there. My grandparents liked it as well. Have you decided whether or not to move there?
And how is the job search coming along? It sure can be tiring, almost more so than a job itself.
Well, I better get back to finishing my paper. I woke up early this morning so I could finish it, but visited the BC for a bit to keep myself awake. You and Harley have it made...look at all those toys and the neato playgyms. You seem like you have tons of fun!
