 My mother and I drove to a breeder as my mom wanted to get a hand raised baby cockatiel. I was never a big fan of birds. The breeder let us come out anytime we wanted so my mom could bond with the baby she picked. The second time I was there the breeder let me hold a Quaker names Sammy. Sammy was so cool, he would give kisses and talk, and I loved playing with him. The third time we went out there I asked her if I could play with more of the Quakers. She took two of them out and we went to the front yard. I held one of them and he didn't want to have anything to do with me, he kept getting away. So, when I held the next one I fell in love. I know this may sound strange but I was so taken with this little baby bird that I fell in love. That baby bird sat with me the whole time we were there. I had to have him!!! Arty has made me the happiest person on the face of the planet! He is everything to me!. |

Charlie the female quaker here. Thanks for flying by. It is always a great pleasure to meet another quaker. Especially such a handsome one as you are. Mom says we are such green bundles of joy and very intelligent. I can see your mom loves you very much and you are very spoiled. Mom tells me I think I am a big bird even though I am a small green bundle and afraid of nothing. I love to say thank you and bow my head at the same time. Mom has a breeder friend and she always takes me with her to visit other people and birds and I really like it. I see you love to take baths. Anytime mom is running water at the sink I fly over and want to get wet. Arty you have a wonderful birdy day and I hope we can be friends. Here is a vote for you. I vote for quakers. I like these quirky birds. My quaker throws away things he does not like also, but he is a big fraidy cat. Have you introduced popcorn? Mine learned that word very quickly.Come visit me, Polly; Co Cap't of Dragons & Zippy--BASEBALL; LUIGI #225307 for BOTM.

Welcome to the BC, Arty!!
I have to confess, I like that "Frog" part of your name! I also like where you live. You can see the mountains from your city. I live in IL where there's not a mountain to be found. I came to like mountains when I went on vacation with my parronts to Estes Park and the National Park that's just northwest of you. My cage was loaded into the travel trailer, I was tucked into the backseat of the truck in my travel cage and off we all went. I came home knowing a number of wild bird calls, sounds that mom says always make her wish she was back in Colorado.
