Mali, my Senegal companion of 18 years suddenly passed away on 5/3/09. I found my Red-Belly at a Maryland breeder listed on the internet and brought him home 5/30/09. I wanted to give him an African name. I chose the name Zuri because it means beautiful. PLEASE READ MALI'S MEMORIAL ON THE BIRD CHANNEL.. Awards

Hi! My name is Zuri

I am a Red-Bellied Parrot from Leola, PA.

CHIEF BROKEN ARROW- because I managed to break off half of my tail feathers! LUMBERJACK- because I can make short work of my wooden toys. GINGER- because of the little orange feathers on my head. ME-HA this is all I said when I first came home. MR. TUFFY when I want my way!

Red-Bellied Parrot

I am still a baby exploring foods. So far I am enjoying broccoli, carrots, corn, peas, blue berries, cherries, apple, and melon, along with my Zupreem pellets and assorted dried tropical fruits. Mommy surprises me every day with somethine new!

Cuddling with mommy, my big new A&E cage, and my tent.

Attacks Cell Phones!

In addition to my big cage and cool toys, she gives me lots of love and attention!

Real men eat broccoli!.
