The parents of my mom's first serious boyfriend she had(she was 16) owned me. Mom had 3 horses at the time and since she was the only one that rode her dad was making her sell one of them. My owners at the time were looking to get another horse and actually had an ad in the paper to sell me. So they opted to just swap. People couldn't believe they traded a horse for a bird, but they didn't understand the horse was only $900 and I was much more expensive than that and I lived in a $1000 cage. Some people still don't get it. But mom is now 28...almost 29 and we have been together ever since. We complete each other. =).

Active within 1331 Days Hi! My name is Bubba I am an Eclectus from Longview, TX. PooPoo Bird 20 years old M Eclectus I absolutely love anything bad for me. Ask me if I want a corn chip and I will go nuts. Mom limits the bad stuff and mostly gives me fruits and veggies. I like bananas a lot too. I love to be in the kitchen with my mom or just chillin on the couch with her watching TV. I hate when people argue. If you argue or get too loud and it sound like arguing to me...I will start arguing with you. I can make some terrible sounds. And I don't like for my mom to be in the kitchen cooking without me in there with her. What can I say. I love how when I am fussy she comes over to my cage and tells me to act right and that there is no sense in acting like that. And I love when she puts an apple on my apple kabob holder. And the corn chips! I know they aren't good for me, but she treats me with one every now and then. The easiest way to get me to talk so visitors can hear me is to cover me up. They go on about their business and pretty soon I will start joining in on the conversations. Only if I'm covered up though.. Give me a corn chip and I'm good!.

Hi Bubba Glad you stopped in again! Mom and dad went for a flu shot this morning. I sure didn’t ask to go along either! When mom got back she was way behind on her housework and laundry so I helped her out and we were done in no time. She said I flew thru the work fast hihihi. “Don’t be shy…stop in and say hi”. Hi Bubba Mom hung them clothes out this morning and I should of told her to just put them in the dryer cause that is what she ended up doing anyway. She says good drying days outside are done she thinks. We did get to sit outside while mom cleaned our cages though and it was sunny then. “I just want to say, I hope you and your flock, have a great day!” V4U. Hi Bubba Well know how you feel but once in a while mom and dad go somewhere and then we are alone too but they try not to go for long so that helps too. I didn’t have much choice today cause mom put me in the shower but afterwards we sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine on my feathers. I even climbed aboard Chi chis cage today when mom was moving us all around as she was cleaning. Mom took me off pretty quick though hihihi. “I don’t mind the thorns in my life if you’re the rose” V4U and come visit my anytime…I leave my door open all the time for my friends. Hi Bubba Well mom does tell me usually and I seen her walking shoes on her feet so I think she went walking but I think her and dad went to the festival afterward and ate there cause I seen her with her other shoes in her hand too....she dont fool me hihihi. We are lucky cause mom and dad are retired but we are spoiled too cause we are used to them being home or at least one of them. Then when they both go well we dont like that none hihihi, It sure is getting dark earlier in the evening now so guess it wont be long till winter will be here too. When mom holds me and I do the fly thing I can get a little lift now so sure wont be long I will be sailing thru the house hihihi. “When I count my blessings, I count my friends”. Hi Bubba Your mom got the deal when she got you and no people wouldnt understand only parronts could under stand that hihihi. Mom was busy here all morning and we had lots of conversations too. Then she said she was going walking but I suspect she did more then walk cause it doesn’t usually take her that long to walk. Then she didn’t make dinner either so think she and dad were out eating somewhere. Hmmppppttt. I took a bath in my water bowl again today when that pesky sweeper was running hihihi. Hi Bubba Gus is a male ekkie like you!! I think it was good trade a horse for a bird like us and people could never understand unless they are owned by a fid hihihi. Oh I talk only when the company sits on the couch and doesnt pay any attention to me then I have plenty to say but if they talk to me I just look at them hihihi. We are alot alike!! Mom wont give me any junk food either. We are glad you joined BC and hope you will be our friend. Come visit us anytime you can ..the door is always open.
