Wow, what a game! The Pois and the Keets played their hearts out. Right now, Calico is flying high without her wings. Pearl is having a blast. I've never seen her have so much fun. Even though her team lost, they didn't lose by much. Those keets are a force to be reconed with.

DAY 20 ~ THANKS FOR THE VOTE!
DANIA’S VACATION TO LEBANON part 1
Last year, in February 2012, my parents were discussing about my dad’s sister and his mom going to Lebanon to pay their sister insurance. My dad paid 1000$ every month to his sisters because his oldest sister had two grown children and their parents were divorced. In addition, the other sister who lived with them worked as a teacher and tried paying for the family. When I heard about it, I soon said I wanted to go to Lebanon too, to see my aunts, my cousin and family. My parents thought about it then, they decided that it would be my birthday present to go to Lebanon. I was glad but unfortunately I had to wait until end of March. I was usually impatient so I tried getting it out of my mind for a while. Then it was finally the day where me, my grandma and my aunt were heading to Lebanon. We sat at the airport where my dad worked, and went to a restaurant to have breakfast. Then it was time to say our goodbyes, I was leaving for two weeks and I was already crying, missing my parents. It was the first time I was gone that long from my parents and first time I was going on vacation during the school days. Furthermore, we boarded the plane and took off to head to Lebanon, Beirut. Mom and I cannot believe I am 9 years old already. I came to Mom when I was only a couple of months old and now I am a big boy and so independent. My entire flock lucked out because Mom cleaned all our cages outdoors and she gave every birdy a new toy, but I got TWO new toys and some treats. To make things better, I got BOTD. What more could a bird want. Spending a day in that Man Cave with King Jetta was something a bit different from the usual castle experience but it was loads of fun. Thanks so much for coming by to wish me a Happy Hatchday and to congratulate me on BOTD. I do hope you got a piece of the cake Lizzie baked - she is the best! Mom made cookies but they don't compare to the cake. Sorry Mom... giving Mom a kiss. At the one grands school at the end of 5th grade they go camping for 3 days every year and the grands dad went too as a chaperone. Skin sis stayed home to take care of the dog and house but sure missed the grand and her dad. Skin sis came up to visit with us but wanted to stay home at night to be with the dog and said she slept good in her own bed. They are all home from camping and had a good time and many memories too I am sure. “Friendship, like flowers, blooms ever fair, when carefully tended by dear friends that care.” Leaving a big old vote for you my friend….GusCome visit me, Gus & Chi chi ..

Thanks for the congrats. Darn, mom forgot to check to see who won today's game, we'll fly over later, but sure it was another good one.
The fountain looks great. We're sure the wild critters will love to bathe and drink out of it and the flock and mom will enjoy listening to it too.
Good day here as the temps cooled down a lot. Down to the mid 60s, lots of sun and wind, very nice out.

I hope you are having a wonderful day. It's quiet around here. It's moms "friday" tonight and she is very happy about that. She still has lots of work to get done tonight and then we can just relax and have some fun.
It sounds like your mom is going to have a busy day too! I bet it makes her smile to see those cute little foxes! They have to be cute!!!
I love the fountain. Sucha beautiful terra cotta color! It must be very peaceful out there!

My goodness your mom is a busy person today. Sounds like the center has alot of action happening, still lots of babies. Hey thanks for sharing the picture of the fountain it looks great. Not much happening here to day, its still raining here. We might see a little break tonight and tomorrow but then more rain and storms for the weekend. So any big plans for the holiday weekend. How often does mom have to clean the fountain? We have to scrub our birdbath at least once a week. Green stuff will grow in it. Mom does try to get the water changed at least once a day.

...Happy Humpday BC buddies, our week is half empty, and yet half full! We are looking at a slightly overcast and rainy day, but it makes our tomatoes and okra grow, and unfortunately the grass also! Dad used to spend a lot of time making our lawn and shrubs, and flower beds look so nice, but old age has cut a lot of that out! I am hoping to get out in my aviary for awhile, and Ziggy's cage is ready for outside! I'll probably stop by the game today because I love baseball so much, and I must see what aunt Auda packed in Sugar's Hello Kitty lunch box! We got really warm and muggy all of a sudden . . . luckily the school finished installing a/c in the classrooms this spring - do you have any idea what 26 ten year olds smell like after recess ? Actually, ask your mom - I'm sure she remembers ! ewwwwww

My parronts were gone almost all afternoon. The power is back on so they went to do grocery shopping and to the bank and other errands. We are suppose to have more t-storms and don't want to be stuck with no food. Boy, was the house ever hot!
We'll try to get some morels to your mom. Dad can't wait to walk the property looking for some.
Sorry I wasn’t on the BC on Monday. We had a very severe t-storm that lasted several hours. It cause some flooding, trees down, wires down, and no power in most of our county. Everything was back up and running this morning.
I was very, very scared and snuggled with mom the whole time, not making a sound. I don’t like rain and this was very bad. As soon as we could, we turned on CNN and saw the terrible destruction in Oklahoma. Keeping all those people in our prayers, so sad.

The 'tiel terrors won! We're happy to get that first game played as we were nervous about it all as we'd never been part of bazebol before. The C2 white hawks played great too so it could've gone either way.
Our mom loves fountains, but since we had so many drought years that kinda thing kinda fell out of favor. The sound can be soothing. Do the wild birds use it to drink or bathe in?

It's Popeye.
Today, mom and dasd went to the movies with a friend and then to dinner. We spend the afternoon in our cages. Dad's friend did pick up our food and bring it to dad, so mom and dad paid for the movie and dinner.
Tomorrow will be ok, mom and dad will be staying home.

Tell mom the Irwin bird show is June 9th in case she didnt know or had forgotten. Mom is planning on going and probably be there around 11.
It is so sad of all the tornadoes in Oklahoma and we are praying for everyone that lives there and on BC too. We hope our friends are all safe and well and know your in our hearts and prayers. Well, this is going to be a short blog today, because Mom's shoulder is acting up again and it hurts to type. She got thru her training session and zumba at the gym Ok, but then when she got home it started to ache. She had massage therapy this afternoon, which should have helped. Your mom is busy, my mom is snoozing. She has not had energy since going to her parronts. Yesterday was her last day in 8th grade math, today was the final. She took in some popsicles for them to have after the final, she called them "carrots"???? (The math room is very warm)
The store has corn-on-the-cob for sale this week for Memorial Day, so mom is making some for dinner, sure hope we get LOTS.

YAY for the fountain! I bet it's just beautiful!
Mom is getting some laundry done today and I'm in the play cage having a snack while she folds the stuff. It's not towels so I can't help with the folding.
The game yesterday was lots of fun and I think we all played pretty well. It is kinda cool that the Fliers won their very first game. They are a great team.
Not much else going on around here. I think dad is going to take sister to work cause he's going to go meet a friend up near Seattle. He is dad's best friend and he drives a truck so when he gets on this side of the mountain, he and dad try to get together. He lives about 2 hours over the cascade. Sorta near where Scooby and Taz live.

Hi Falco--
Not much going on here today. Mom has lots of chores to do, but she has to take the old guy to the dr...he's got a nasty chest cold. Meanwhile, I'm sitting on her belly listening for the outside birds thru the window. Every now and then I get a scritchy, but mostly I'm just sitting here.
Sure does feel like summer today. Mom D thinks that's a good thing, but Mom T is complaining. She'll be happy when it's hot enough to put the Air Conditioning on, but so far that hasn't happened. The downstairs rooms are still in the low 70s, so that won't trigger the thermostat. We can't set it too low cuz of us birdies and the old guy. Not to mention cuz of the electric bill--hee hee!Come visit me, The Society of Finches & Tooth.

...we are absolutely heart broken over the loss of life and property in Okalahoma! Devastation such as this puts life into perspective, and with that comes a realization of just how fragile and precious life really is! Regarding the Raiders loss, I was just one biscuit short at breakfast, and I would have hit a Grand slam to win our game, that won't happen again! he Miller Flock is safe and sound ... that said.
Yesterday was a very tragic day here in Oklahoma. Mom locked down for hours on the Air Force Base while Tornado ravaged the Moore area (just south of the base). We have many friends and Co-Workers without homes now. Civilian Co-Workers will have double whammy with the loss of loved ones and a triple whammy with the upcoming furloughs to start on July 8th. So far 91 is the confirmed dead count and its expected to rise as we have not located everybody yet. Praying for everybody affected ..... hoomans and animals alike

The rain stopped and the sun even came out for a while yesterday ! Good for 2 reasons - one, mom has a toy canal that she wanted to share with the class - two, the battery on dad's car died and she had to go rescue him.
The new exhibit sounds fascinating ! Mom loves to learn new things - in fact if she could afford it, she'd be in school always ! I gave her lots of comfort and cuddles last night as she was glued to the tv - the loss and devastation in OK are heart-breaking and it makes her soooo sad.Come visit me, Cookie ready for bazbol !, BC Library Now Open & Fly with the angels my Sally.

Chi chi’s team won their game today and they sure was excited too! Today skin sis came up and then her and mom went to spend some time with moms sister a bit..they call it girls day out. I think they did some shopping and ate out together too. As soon as I heard the car going in the garage I got happy and yelled for mom. Good to have more training for the new exhibit. New stuff keeps people coming back. Hope it becomes popular as one never knows what folks will be interested in learning about.
Hot here today, almost 90 for us and we know southern CA had those over 90s temps. Cool down for tomorrow, for us should be in the 70s, whew! That's the spring we expect.
Congrats to the new Flyers team! Our first game is tomorrow, hope we do as well.

Hey Falco
The parronts had a tense afternoon and evening yesterday. A 48 year old woman on drugs decided to take a lighter and start a fire in a field near here. (She was, of course, arrested.) The fields are very dry, fire danger is high and the fire grew rapidly. We are very grateful for the rapid response from the fire crews. Helicopters made trips back and forth to dump water on the fire as well. Early evening the parronts found out they were in no danger and crews were just monitoring hot spots. Mom saw the damage today. It had actually moved away from us but toward other homes. We love where we live, but fire is always a possibility so mom keeps our travel cages nearby. Birds and dogs first, pictures if she has time, the rest isn't important!

PLZ VOTE 4 DJ LUIGI #225307 FOR BOTM
Mom got me outside for my sunbath at 9 this morning, and it is a good thing she did. We listened to the local news on the radio, and so she knew it was gonna be a hot one! It hit 93 at 1, and it is still 85 here at 3. Thank goodness it is supposed to only be in the mid 80s for a high tomorrow. I will still get out early though.
Mom let herself be shanghaied from the gym after zumba to be taken out to lunch. That sounds very nice I am sure, but she totally forgot about my ballgame! And Rosie did such a terrific job of calling it, and I played well and Mango's final catch was a nail biter. She missed the whole thing and had to read about it after the fact. And she promised! I am so mad at her I could bite~!
