It's nice to meet you.
Thank you for making my hatchday a most enjoyable day with your lovely greeting and then helping extend my celebration to two days. I was so surprised when I came to the computer in the morning and saw that I was BOTD. I do feel bad for Buddy who was going to be BOTD, but his frother, Rio assured me that they were very happy with the surprise, so I could enjoy my day. Thank you, Rio!
My hatchday consisted of a day where I was spoiled rotten with lots of attention and extra treats. Every time Mama would explain to me that it was my hatchday, I'd poof out my cheek feathers and look very pleased. I got a couple of foot toys, which thankfully were not wrapped as I think wrapping paper is the scariest thing on the planet, next to big yellow trucks or trucks carrying machinery. I know, most people wouldn't place those things in the same category, but I do.
I was presented with a parrot sized cake, a blueberry muffin. I was to share it with Pepper, but he wouldn't go near it. He's not used to things like that yet. I took the whole thing and started maniacally shredding it. Sometimes I get a piece of toast with a tiny bit of jam and I always eat off the tasty stuff and leave the crumbs. With my cake I was searching for the jam and not finding it. Realizing what was left in my foot was getting smaller and smaller, I actually tasted what I was breaking off and ate the rest with relish.

I'm a dad's boy altho mom is okay when he's not around. did you get a chance to fly by and see the rest of my flock? Mom likes craziness too. She's been known to be called the crazy bird lady even tho there's just a few of us. Dad just calls the house the bird house. hehehe now I think he's the crazy one!
