 I had been bounced around to a couple of different homes before I finally found my forever home. My mom found me by putting an ad online saying that she was looking to adopt any Cockatiel that was in need of a new home. Soon afterward, she got an e-mail from my previous owners asking if she'd like to adopt me and she of course said "yes". My mom cried when she first laid eyes on me because she was both overjoyed to adopt me, but sad to see the conditions I had been living in. My previous caretakers loved me very much, but didn't know much about birds. They were keeping me in a tiny parakeet cage with perches that were too thin. My toes nails were so overgrown that I could barely walk. My feathers were dirty and smelled like smoke. My mom trimed my nails, cleaned me up with bird bath spray, and gave me a large Cockatiel cage with the proper sized perches.. |

Welcome to the BC. We glad to hear that your that you have a great new home, with someone that is taking good care of you. Pretty and myself, I was the first one they got, live in a large cage and have a tree that they built for us. We can come and go from the cage anytime we like, when they're home. Hi Jewel,
Welcome to Bird Channel. I'm a cockatiel too that was adopted from an elderly couple that had way to many tiels to take care of. I used to live in a regular tiel cage with 4 other tiels and now I have a really big parrot cage all to my self. Isn't life grand? I voted for you.
