 Cricket was bought by a breeder at a bird auction. However, Cricket may have had an accident when he was little because his backbone is a little out of place. When the breeder gave him to us, he didnt have all his feathers yet (only about 90% of them) and couldnt walk or chirp/squeak. My mom and I gave it therapy and within a week we heard him chirp (sounded like a cricket). Within 2wks he was taking baby steps and at 3wks we taught him how to fly and land safely. He still sqawks like a cricket and behaves like any normal bird. He really has come a long way to fully recovery!. |
