Wow...that's going to take some time getting use to. :-) I do like the change in name though. Besides if your mom was calling you Cheet...then you know your name as Cheet. Cheeta is more girly sounding, don't you think? Like I said you're doing exactly what I did when I laid my first eggs. I wouldn't come out of my sleeping cage (where my eggs were) except to eat & poop. Mom said she felt she didn't even have a bird during that time because I wasn't in my day cage and it was so quiet downstairs. Tell your mom that you'll let her know when you're tired of the eggs and she'll remove them. It took me close to three weeks, then I was ready to leave them. You'll be fine after you lay your eggs....tell mom no need to worry ~ I'm still sitting on my one and only egg, but only in the evening.......three weeks today.
Enjoy your time with your eggs ~ I know your mom will take real good care of you!

Cheeta,...oh I don't think I can call you that! It's weird. Cheeto... I don't know. Anyhow, both Pickles and I were tested, however, mom said that she would have thought I was a male, too, because of how I behave. But with that being said, compared to Pickles, I really do behave like a female. Not sure if that makes sense but if your mom had a male shes would see how you would behave. PIckles dominates everything and pushes me aside and bullies me and takes my toys and food from me and wants to be in certain spots and stuff. He thinks he owns the window sill when we are in the window. He is mean to me, Cheeta and definitely is dominate. I can't believe you are abandoniing your mom to sit on that egg! Enjoy your mom...
Hey, when does your mom start work? We have some big news here, too. We aren't sure if you knew but mom is going to school to become a personal trainer. She takes her tests next Sat. Anyway, she needs to do an internship and has just secured that job for the whole summer. She is going to quit her chocolate place and work there for the summer and hopefully get a job offer at the end. So mom is going off to work full time again. Of course its for the summer, so we'll miss all that outdoor time and sun and fun....but she is really excited to be starting a new career and happy to have this opportunity ahead of her. Cheeto! OMGoodness! Are you okay? How are you feeling? This is crazy...all my boy caiques are girl caiques! That is so funny. You've all got mom wondering because I am a girl and I've been dna tested and all and I've never laid an egg and I am older then you and I have a boyfriend! Everyday mom checks our teepee but nothing. And I've got a chance that any egg I lay might be fertile. Mom still doesn't know what she'd do if I did lay an egg because she doesn't think I would like another bird around the house and she might have to keep it apart from us. Wow. We were just over the moon at your news. So are you going to change your name to Cheeta? It's got a nice ring. Huh? Well, Congrats to you and your mom. Did she start her new job yet? My oh my....you're a girl! Congratulations, I think! I know it's not fertile, but now your mom and every birdie knows your a little girl. :-) You're following in the footsteps of your friend....me! You're at the age I laid my first clutch. After the first egg, I laid the second one three days later, then the third one four days later. Being a girl with eggs, our moms will always worry. I did fine and have no doubt that you'll do fine too! I'm still sitting on my one egg. Mom is thinking I'll probably be ready to be done with it by the weekend. Since I skipped last Spring, mom was really hoping I would skip this Spring....but didn't. :-) I see that you have a picture of your egg in your Gallery. Oh Cheeto bird, that is such great news about your mom's job. We will keep our fingers crossed for her. OMG, you are going to miss her sooo much. .What are you going to do? When Pickes was a baby mom was working from home and he was attached to her like velcro. They did everything together. Then she had to get a new job, going to work full time and poor little Pickles was so sad and lonely. That's why they got me, to keep him company. Now we are joined at the hip. Oh, you are going to be so sad. We feel for you, Cheeto. But your mom needs to get back to work so she can get yah what you need. Happy Easter, by the way. Our Easter was quiet. Mom and dad left us. But we got some neat toys to keep us occupied. Today mom is home and we are bugging her big time. She was supposed to study but that hasn't happened yet. She is procrastinating big time. Glad you liked the Easter card! Did you have a fun Easter weekend? I had a wonderful weekend! Friday & Saturday I helped mom plant flowers and played in the water hose. I also started off Saturday by surprising my with my own personal Easter egg. And no, this is no April Fool's joke. :-) I enjoyed Easter and stayed out with mom and the family....watched Cade look for Easter eggs...had a good time!
Today is April Fool's Day, so be sure and watch yourself...you never know who's going to try and fool you ~ :-)

Happy Easter
Cheeto, how are you, buddy? It's been so long since we've heard from you. We were just hoping everything is okay with you guys. Well, winter seems to be still hanging around and we just can't wait to see it leave. It's been so cold out and we had a snow storm on Monday. Not much else is new. Mom and dad are both busy with school/studying/homework. Dad will be done the end of next week but mom not until the end of April. Then we will have more free time with them. Cheeto, I am getting better at flying but our wings will be clipped in Spring so we can venture outside because we love it outside. It's so darned cold here. Not much is new. The parents have been working more and are both back in school part time. Boy you sure have a big flock. How does your mom clean all those cages? Seriously? Mom can't understand it. How are the kittens? Do you still have them? Our dad feeds the outside birds, too. The are so much fun to watch. We had another dusting last night and you can see so many bird tracks in the snow. Hi Cheeto. We haven't heard from you in a bit. We hope all is well. It's been so cold lately and I am sure you are having much of the same weather. brrrrr Just so glad we live indoors! Not much is new. It's been busy around here and we've been causing much of a scene with running around the house like we own it. I can sort of fly but not really and it's the first time the parents have allowed my wings to grow out and boy did I bump my beak the other day. I was spooked by something outside and I flew and hit the glass sliding door and now I have a big bruise on my beaker. I am tough though and I didn't cry or complain. It seems to have healed but the bruise probably has to grow out of the break. I had bruised my beak several other times doing god knows what. Hope you have a great weekend. Haven't visited you lately and thought I would fly by and say "hi" ~ How's it going? Did you have a fun weekend? Cade came over & spent the night on Friday....and as always, we had a lot of fun! He's such a sweet boy. He always, and I do mean always, goes to Bindi's cage and say's hello & talks to her. After he left I didn't do much except hang out with mom.
We're having some nice weather for a few days....in the 60's! You heard me....60's. Mom & Dad went riding yesterday on their bikes once the fog lifted and warmed up a bit. Mom said it really felt great to be out riding ~
Happy to report that Skunky, mom's oldest cat, is still hanging in there. He's eating and still jumping on the counters. Mom's not sure how he still has his springs, but he does ~
Also, Indy Sam & I are still needing some players for our team, the Wonder Wings.....and they don't have to be a Sennie or a Cake. :-) We're a mixed species team. If you know of anyone, would you please send them to me or Indy Sam's? It would be greatly appreciated!

Cheeto, Is it time to sail again? Wow, time flies. Yes, I am a biter. Pickles barely ever bites anyone. He just doesn't, but not me. They call me "short-fused). It's just my reaction to bite when something/someone irritates me. It used to happen a lot but the parents understand me now and take precautions but it took them about 4 years to figure it out. What a cute New Year's picture!
T.G.I.F.! Mom's playing catch up at work and trying to get over the cold & cough she caught from Cade. Did you all have a great New Year? Did you get snow? It seems like a lot of birds got snow recently. It rained here off and on....and cold, but still had the fireworks on the street. Didn't really bother any of us though. Then Cade and his parronts came over on New Year's Day for lunch.

Cheeto, it is freeeezing...brrrrr.... Speeaking of biting, I bit mom twice in 3 days! As everyone knows, I have a short fuse. It's something that everyone just has to deal with. If you get in my way, I bite you but then kiss you. I am funny that way. Anyhow, I, too, took a bath and it was kinda cold in the house so mom took me in the bathroom to blow dry me. I am afraid of that thing but mom knows and kept it far away as she could. She went to rub my belly to get my feathers separated so the air could dry them and I bit her so hard in the thumb and she was bleeding all over the place for a long time. She was very upset with me but understood. Yesterday though she found a spot on the carpet and got the carpet cleaner and sprayed it on the spot-it was foamy and she went to massage it into the rug with her finger and I jumped down on the floor and she thinks I wanted to eat it so when she put her finger into it I just bit her really hard. She yelled at me cause it was uncalled for. It happened so fast and I am not sure why I did it. No blood that time but yelling......So that's what's going on here. We are trying to keep warm. Happy New Year Cheeto
Thanks for the wishes and right back at yah. We had a nice night. The parents stayed home for the first time ever and had some company. We were loud at first but then calmed down and we were able to come out and be a part of the celebration. Boy were we all tired the next day, so we did NOTHING. Mom cooked up a special dinner and hung out with us as the fireplace roared with a nice fire. It's so darned cold here....brrrr.. We send you nice wishes back for a great year. Merry Christmas
Cheeto, We are stopping by to wish you and your flock a very Merry Christmas. Mom is busy cooking today and will be off to her family by 3. Tomorrow calls for some lousy weather, a snow/rain mix and we are hoping they are wrong cause the parents have a100 mile commute each way to see dad's family. How's it going? Mom's been real busy at work, but hoping today should be the last really busy day before the holidays. Maybe I can get back to visiting all my friends ~
Can you believe Christmas is less than a week away? Sure got here fast. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for Santa Bird!
This past Friday mom and dad took Cade to look at the Christmas lights. He had so much fun! Even saw Santa Claus which happen to be my mom's boss at his home. Then mom & I hung out the rest of the weekend. Helped wrap presents again ~
Mom wanted me to ask you how much you weigh. She's just curious.
We're near 80 today and have been, but not for long. A cold front is blowing in this evening. The weather here has been like a roller coaster.....hot~~cold~~hot~~cold. But that's typical of Houston. Is it cold there? Any snow yet?

Cheeto, we are so glad you got the apples. When we got the stockings we had to put our order in. We just love those apples and knew you guys would, too. It was just a token of our apprreciation. We are always in the kitchen, usually causing commotion though. We used to be good and just watch but recently we want to get in there and see what is going on. You can tell your mom that those stockings are going to stay just the way your mom did them! Those are the stockings Bindi & I will use from now on.....we love them! It was such a nice surprise ~ And you're right about us Caiques....we're wonderful birds, but mom says it takes a special person to understand us being so active & silly. I'm like just like you....I would rather hang on mom than play with my toys. I climb all over her while she's walking around the house. My dad is always telling her "you have a bird on your rear"....and sure enough, that's where I am. :-) It's starting to feel like December since the cold front came through early this a.m. It was in the mid 50's when we got up and now in the mid 40's....bbbrrr ~ Here's wishing you and the flock (and mom too) a warm and wonderful day! Cheeto, Oh my goodness! Thanks so much for the beautiful stockings.....you guys should not have done that!!! They are great. We were so surprised to receive them yesterday. Mom got home from a looooong day at work. They are beating her up pretty bad this year. And when she saw the package and opened it, we all couldn't believe our eyes. Thank you so much but you really should not have done that.
Weather is rainy here and cold. this is mom's only day off so she has a million places to get to and things to do. She said she'd be back by 4 but is leaving us in dad's hands, who has a cold and has been really grumpy this week. That's about all. Not much else to say. We hope you have a wonderful Sunday! Cheeto, That sleigh ride sure sounds like fun. Mom worked all weekend and they were doing horse drawn carriage rides across the street and she was watching those poor horses drag that sleigh all day as she made 250 caramel apples. Boy the orders are rolling in. And as far as moving toys, I am usually not afraid but Peeps is very cautious. She will watch them from afar but not me,I attack. I love it. Mom has this mouse that rolls around in circles and I watch it and then pounce. I flip that sucker on his back so he can't move. And I squeal with delight. It's so much fun. We had a jail break the other day. For the 3 rd time in 6.5 years a cage door was accidently left open. We didn't do much, just sat on the railing and then greeted mom by being on her and dad's pillow on their bed. They still can't figure out how we got on the bed but thankfully we didn't potty on it. You are looking handsome, as always. What's new? The parents are running around all busy all the time. There's a tree in the living room and all these boxes everywhere. It's a mess,Cheeto. We want our house back. Not much is new. We got our nails clipped last night. As you know, there were screams to be heard round the world. It was a mess! But quick nonetheless. Mom is working again. Geez...she's been there everyday since Friday. We are starting to feel neglected. She said it's busy this time of the year. People eat chocolate for some reason...more so then any time of the year. Weather has been cold. We even had some snow last week. It wasn't too bad. Hope we don't see much of that though. We are not big fans. So we hope all is well. Drop us a line when you get a chance. Glad to hear you had a good Thanksgiving. As our friend said, it's the start of the eating season...so much good food! As you can tell in my picture, I got the turkey leg mom promised....so yummy! Also, enjoyed having mom & dad home for the long weekend ~ Watched from the inside mom & dad put up the Christmas decorations outside on Saturday. Then mom took me out that evening so I could see the lights. So pretty ~ And today it actually feels like December since a cold front blew through last night ~

Hi Cheeto ~
This is a short, but busy week. Hard to believe Thanksgiving Day is just days away. Is your Mom cooking the turkey and trimmings? Mom & Dad are going to my grandparronts, but will most definitely be bringing me a turkey leg or wing back for me. Can't wait ~
Oh yea....mom finally finished the toy she was making me. She posted a few pictures in my Gallery so you can see it. I've gotten on it to check it out, but still not sure about it. Mom's quite proud of it ~ If you have time, check it out. Mom said she bet any Caique would be all over it....but noooo, I have to be sure it's okay. :-) Better safe than sorry, right?

That has to be one of your best pictures! Love the autumn colors ~
How's everything there? I think people are starting to get their lives back into some kind of order. I heard some still have no power. Those storms can cause a lot of grief and damage.
It's been in the 80's here, but will be changing Sunday evening when rain and a cold front blows through. Not much going on here. Tomorrow is house cleaning day, then Sunday Mom is participating in the Color Run 5K Race with my aunt, nieces and some of mom's friends. Mom's just happy it's not turning wet and colder until after the race.

Cheeto, It's gotten really cold here, too. Brrrrrr Today we are waiting for this storm to hit. We are hearing snow, rain, etc. We aren't sure what to expect, we just hope it's mild. We had such a bad week last week. Much of NJ is devastated. We lost power for 5 days and night! It was rough but it wasn't too cold last week. We still have family members without power so next week we might be having house guests. The devasation is really surreal. It's just so sad, the loss. Halloween was cancelled and even if mom wanted to make goodies, we didn't have power. We were all really stressed out last week and now we may be again so if mom's sister has to move in with her family. They are talking 3 more weeks to get their power!

What a cute scarecrow you make! Mom said that Caiques can tilt their head in a way that makes you say "ooooo" ~ Hey, what can I say....we're cute when we want to be!
Can you believe we're half way through the week and the month of October? Mom said the one good thing about being busy is the time goes by fast. We're suppose to get some rain on Friday when the cold front blows through...only in the 60's for a couple of days, then 70's for the following few days. Mom said the windows will be opened for some fresh air.
You'll never guess what mom and I have planned for this coming Saturday. Mom and two friends are having a Birdie Baking Party at our home. They're going to make two different recipes...a birdie bread and a birdie treat. Also, one of her friends is bringing her Amazon named Chili Pepper to visit. He's going to use my big tree play stand. Wonder what the two of us can teach one another? :-)
