Hi Snowy
The parront has not made it to Tampa yet. The person did not call her back yet. So she does not know yet if she finally will be going. She has been very busy lately. The computer is also giving her a hard time. She needs a new one.The weather is cloudy and it has rained lately. It is getting busy at the airport. She has the last test this Friday. She has to keep the proficiency in her job so they test yearly in different areas. This is all for know.
See you next week if she finally does not go to Tampa

Yah, that was great pizza at Oz' party. She wants us to go over to awim after the game tomorrow too! You'll have to remind every birdie at the game. I will fly in early and be silent unfortunately becos my parronts are going to the city. They usually go on Tues. so i thought i wasmok but now they switched on me becos they have a lawyer appointment here at the beach on Tuesday afternoon. I just can't get them trained!

Hello every birdie, it is SKY with this weeks SPOTLIGHT on CARING with my goofy, fun loving buddies Polly, and Zippy and their Momma Karen
SKY; When did you first become interested in birds? How did you become a bird owner?
Momma Karen; My grandmother had a pair of budgies that she allowed free in the house when I was young. They would go to her and 'talk' with her, imitate and call the outdoor birds. Grandma also fed the outdoor birds and would have jays and other birds sit on her as she offered them seeds. Seeing the different birds going to her is what started my interest.
Sky; Please tell us all, when did you first join Bird Channel? Polly; Momma joined B.C. in 2008.

SKY; How are you involved with birds in general? Momma Karen; I just talk about birds all the time in the various social settings I find myself in.
Sky; Momma Karen, could you tell us about the birds in your life, both past & present?
Momma Karen ;As a child I had a budgie that I had purchased from a dime store. Somehow it ended up with mites, I think. This was back in the 1960s, so there was no vet care and I was very ignorant. The poor thing died when I was on vacation with my family. He was well tended by the before mentioned grandmother. After my 5th human child, the family wanted a pet. Friends were breeding budgies at that time and gave us one for me taking care of the birds (and mice, and rabbits) while they were on vacation. I learned about the sensitivity of their breathing with this one. I moved our 'pet' back into the family space too soon after spraying for lice—we were having great difficulty getting rid of lice. About the time Orion died, Loki was hatched. The same friends let us have a 'replacement'. Still learning about avian vets, Loki lived for 8 years, but died because of a tumor. We had not found an avian vet.

Today is Tuesday. We are blogging because the parront wont be going to Tampa today. The man who is making the arrangements did not call her yesterday. Lets hope for the best she will be going to Tampa next week. If we don't blog next Tuesday is because she finally made it to Tampa. The weather is cloudy.

...you both jumped in the fire and took charge, and I might add, you are doing a masterful job! If you are the Hawks coach next year, I want to retain my spot at 1st base, it's a family thing! I love all the players on the WH's team, you and the Doo man remind me so much of our dear friend Romeo, everybirdie loves him, but after losing his Christy, he just couldn't participate this year, maybe next year, we'll see, I'll work on him, maybe as a reserve or in the outfield, he was a great hitter! How are you? It's your Friend and Team Mate, Oz the Pink Too. Listen I was just checking our Baseball Schedule and it looks like our next Game is Monday, June 17th. I was thinking how about our whole Team come back to my house afterward for some Pizza, Drinks, Goodies and enjoy swimming in our In Ground Pool. We can all get a bite to eat and relax in the Pool. Hi Snowy!
How are u sweetie? We are getting some much needed rain today & also tomorrow...it hasn't rained here in almost 2 weeks! It has rained all around us, but we haven't seen a drop until today!

Mom was a bit sad & weepy today. It's been one month since she lost her precious Chloe. I haven't let mom wallow in sadness tho! I've been singing to her, playing & doing my acrobatics on her lap, shoulders & back, climbed onto her head, hanging onto her hair, swung down to her face & played peekaboo! & other assorted entertaining games! If she leaves the room, I slide down her cane & follow her saying "Hello Bub"!...Bub is the name I chose for myself! I kept her smiling & laughing all day long with my comical antics!

We MLBs lost our BazeBol game today, but I'd like to congratulate JennyLynn & her Rainforest Raiders for a game well played!

How are u sweetie? Well, mom did it AGAIN! She hasn't sent my blogs out in over a week! She has been busy doing spring cleaning, scrubbing everything down & putting winter stuff away & getting out the summer stuff! It's a slow & tiring task for mom! ...you are doing a great job as the Hawks coach, and now we have had a taste of victory, and I like cit! On any days we are having a game and your sweet mom is busy, let me know and I will cover for you, that's what we do! We are so tired of severe thunder storms, high winds, and tornado watches and warnings, all around our area! Massive flooding, trees and power lines down, and excessive storm damage, with more of the same today! The McFlock, who live close to us, is experiencing the same things! How are u sweetie? I haven't been on BC the last few days coz mom has been very busy! I don't understand why blogging to my friends had to take a backseat...my social life should be mom's top priority! Well, I guess I'll let it slide this time, coz mom was helping my sissy! Sissy & her hubby are licenced foster parents, & received a long term placement on Friday...2 very sweet sisters ages 5 & 11. A month ago the girls spent a weekend at sissy's, & were very happy that they were being moved to her house! Their parents are both heroin addicts & have no desire to get clean! Mom & the 5 yr old bonded over pics of me, & she calls her Grammy, just like the other grandkids! The girls came with 3 carloads of stuff, so mom has been going over everyday to help sis get things put away & organized! Mom stayed home all day today, so I had plenty of mommy & me time!
It's a good thing too, coz mom will be gone ALL DAY tomorrow! Sissy is taking mom's 9 yr old grandson & the 11 yr old girl to an amusement park for the school picnic, & mom will be watching the 3 younger kids! Mom will stay home all day Friday to make it up to me! I sure hope that means that I'll also get "sketties"!

I am ready to go coach. I have been doing some spying on the other teams as they play and have a few tips ... Cappy passes his notebook over to Snowy so he can look at it and see if it will help. Momma Terry warns Snowy that the teams knew Cappy was spying so take it into consideration LOL. Kinda hard to miss big white TOO prancinr around in dark sunglasses with a walkie talkie lol. Its OK (Cappy chuckles) we are safe and sound even though mom ran us for cover on Sunday. Mom really does need to get our custom tornado shelter finished ... its been in the works for 10 years (the folks are doing it themselves). Both the Sunday and Monday tornados were too close for moms comfort. Well hopefully we can get something together for our next game against the Keets.

I know, baseball has been keeping me hopping, too! Lucky I have Calico to share the joy of the game with--and the work, too!

I know you were at the Hatchday party--just never got over to say hi--Lizzie kept me busy with the food. She really loved having the crowd there at the Cave!

Wowo! BOTD! I never ever imagined that would happen! And it is so wonderful that everyone was able to come back for even more fun and food and celebration! Jetta totally wiped me out with all the fun things to do at the Man Cave (formerly known as the Castle). I think I like the pinball games alot--or maybe it is all the noise and bright lights? In any case...thank YOU so much for making my Hatchday special, and for letting me experience the Castle. I have had a blast!!!! And I could not have done it without you.
