Welcome to BC! I am a Catalina macaw and I am only 10 months old. You look like my daddy bird. I love to hang from the top of my cage by one toe or one foot and play with my toys. What do you like to do for fun? Well, stop by anytime, ok? Here's a vote. C ya later!

  Hello Reddy!
Here is a big vote for you. You are a beautiful bird. Rocket likes peanuts, too. However, when Mom found out that peanuts can be the cause of the disease "aspergillosis", she stopped feeding peanuts to Rocket and to all of the birds in our flock. Now we get our "peanut fix" by getting some peanut butter spread on top of whole wheat or whole grain bread. We just thought we would pass that bit of information along to you. You may want to look into peanuts and aspergillosis. There was actually an article in Bird Talk magazine about this disease, and it appeared about 6 months or so ago. It was about an individual that had 2 macaws and lost one of them to aspergillosis; and the cause of the disease was traced back to peanut consumption. Fly on in for a visit any time!
