How nice to meet you! I'm so glad you stopped by my page. Thank you for inviting me over. Your avatar is fantastic!! I love the "leaves" on the ground. Had to really look at those to figure out what it was you used to create those. (Excellent use of the Greek helmet!) I like having to get creative with the objects we have to work with. I wouldn't mind though if every once in awhile we could new items in the avatar shop. It would ignite a whole new interest in building avatars, wouldn't it. I've had my mom write to the BC people a number of times asking for new things to use, but alas, my request has not garnered results. Too bad, huh?
I'll have to flit from flockmate to flockmate and have a look at the other's avatars. I'm sure they'll all be as unique and creative as yours! Your flock's always are.

Hi Sunny,
hope your day at the castle was wonderful yesterday.
Thank you for your support and votes during my campaign…I couldn’t do this without you.
All ingredients used are human-grade and organic from the local health food store. Vary it each time you make it, measurements and ingredients don’t need to be exact. This is just a general guide to get you started and give you some ideas.
First bowl, dry ingredients:
1 cup buckwheat flour
1 cup spelt flour
1/2 cup hemp hearts
1/2 cup dry oats
1/4 cup almond meal
1/4 cup coconut flour
1/4 cup nuts (chopped, this batch, walnut and pine)
2 tbsp cinnamon
2 tbsp pumpkin seeds
2 tbsp millet
also added a pinch of sesame seeds and a pinch of sunflower seeds
Second bowl, wet ingredients:
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup flax seed
2 tbsp chia seed
1 tbsp chopped goji berries (if available)
1 cup chopped veggies (this batch, shredded carrot)
1 cup leafy greens (this batch, shredded mustard greens)
Save a little extra of the raw oats and the seeds for sprinkling top.
Mix all of the dry ingredients in one bowl; flours, cinnamon, hemp, dry oats, and nuts.
Mix the wet ingredients in a separate bowl; adding the flax and chia seeds to the pumpkin puree and water (When flax or chia get wet they form a healthy egg substitute for baking.) Add the goji berries too so they can hydrate in the wet mix. Add the veggies and leafy greens. Let the wet mix set about fifteen minutes before stirring it into the dry mix, just until blended and no dry flour is left.
Spread thinly and evenly into large shallow baking dish, sprinkle some extra toppings over it. Bake at 325 for about 40 minutes. Your house now smells heavenly. Let it cool. Cut into little bird sized portion squares and freeze them.

I hope you invited Happy along to the castle, too bad you both couldn't be royalty together. The 2 remaining baby squirrels are eating mash now, and hardly want anything to do with the syringe, so they may go back to the center as soon as Friday! It's been really nice weather here for this week. It's been getting warmer each day, and mom is going to the pool again this afternoon. She loves stretching out summer as long as possible. We got some neat mums in the yard for the fall, now. Mom knows it's fall because the Autumn treat ice cream is in the freezer, it's pumpkin with praline pecans and cinnamon swirl. I'd rather eat pumpkin seeds myself. Hope you are having a great day. I don't care what they say you are FIRST in my book! And did you know that Jenday's are hard to come by now! In our area they haven't been bred in over 10 years! When our cousin crossed to Rainbow Bridge at 21 years old,Mom was trying to find another Jenday for Nana as she was devastated and wanted another Jenday,and kept getting the same message,no jendays are being bred around here! She had to search high and low and found a breeder that could get her one from New Jersey! That was our new baby cousin Trixie II! So you are a very special fid and we love you! And yes us conures sure can scream to get what we want! And we're smart too!

I hope you had a super day yesterday on your hatchday.
Birdie Bread for Overweight Birds
8 cups total of mixed grains and whole flours (wheat,buckwheat,oats,spelt,barley,quinoa etc.) which include 1/2 cup of either soy or chick peas flour for protein or 1/2 cup of corn meal (to make it less fattening)
2 tbs baking powder
2 cups approx. of whole boiled mixed grains
Approx 8 large carrots
1 large red pepper or 2 small ones
1 or 2 papayas, depending on the size - (I add the whole seeds)
1 or 2 slices of melon
2 eggs - I include the egg shells when I have the time to clean them well first
1 or 2 cups unsalted pumpkin seeds
The boiled whole grains are in addition to the 8 cups. I mix the grains,and boil them for 15 minutes in 2 parts water. After I turn the flame off, I let them sit in the covered pan for another 15 minutes or more to absorb all the water.
The quantities can vary, this recipe gives an idea of the proportions to follow, but if the dough is too soft or too dry it can be adjusted with either more flour or fresh foods.
Grind the fresh foods in the food processor, mix them with the eggs and then mix everything together. Bake it in 2 rectangular pans at 350 for about 40-45 minutes.
If calories are not an issue one could add a variety of other foods like bananas, sesame seeds, crushed nuts,raisins passion fruit, prikly pears, etc.Sweet potatoes would be a very good addition.
