NEW Tiel KID ANNOUNCEMENT THIS WEEKEND....
I told ONE PERSON about the new kids name and sex, and someone had the nerver to BRIBE Uncle Chuck with a case of Jack Daniels for the information. I hope everything is going great! I am busy today supervising the cleaning up of the Christmas stuff! It's time for the usual stuff to come back onto the mantel! Mom has 2 grey doves up there and they stayed all the way thru the fall and winter decorations. We love those grey doves. The wreath is now down and the clock will got back up!

With all my heart I thank you all.
Let me tell you about my first day....Mom finally got me all calmed down for my perch...the sleepy time tea was marvelous...and it seemed I'd just dropped off when all of a sudden all this confetti was landing all over me and Cookie was telling me to wake up that I was now the new Queen! And Cookie being Cookie you can't ignore him... hehe. So up I get and Sidney gets me all ready making sure my feathers are perfect...finding a few lovely shiny pieces of confetti...and I'm ushered outside where I find the most beautiful carriage waiting for me. Cookie helps Sidney cover me with the softest cape and blanket I have ever felt. And they said they were mine for always too. I look around and Popeye is there with a big smile and tells me to sit back and enjoy. I asked Cookie and Sidney to join me on my ride to the castle. I knew Cookie was cutting paper for a while but I don't know where he got it all!! He was tossing confetti all the way to the castle!! Yeah, ALL the way! It did make me feel special though. We get to the castle and Cookie is first out to give me a wing out of the carriage while Sidney straightened out the cape behind me. I'm led to the throne room where Zak stands with his beak in as big a grin as I've seen. TiPaul takes my wingtip and leads me up to the throne (which looks like a thimble next to Zak's) and Zak then turns the castle over to me. I asked he stay beside me and also to remain in the castle since he wasn't able to enjoy his month much. His smile got even BIGGER! Didn't think it could but it did. Although it is my month he is going to stay and build a rehab room. This should be wonderful.
I will be throwing my Ball probably Monday since dad says he's got plans this weekend. Hope your day was a good one! Nothing exciting going on around here! Mom is off tonight but she is so tired that we are not getting much done.
We pulled some of the Christmas stuff out but we've haven't put anything out yet. Mom usually waits until December gets here before she puts anything up.
Stop by my page when you can to check out the picture I've got up! Jen started the Zon Girl Gang and Aunt Denise made us a picture! She's so fabulous! It' Jen, Maxie, Macalune and me! We look pretty good if I may say so myself!

Also to drop off my story...WHAT IS HE HINTING OR SOMETHING?...
part 16...Yep, Jay, skin sis' hubby, said he wanted to take mom and dad house hunting today.SEE YA LATER GUYS! AH quiet! We don't mind the kids now but it is still nice not having them run and all. I mean, after all, even Sophie is quiet for now. This warmth sure makes me sleepy. *YAWN* Needless to say, we all enjoyed a great day and our wild cousins keep coming closer. One will even get right in front of our cage and eat what we toss out to her. She's still a chick and is quite talkative.She's been telling us all about this neighborhood and what we can expect. She's really sad to hear we aren't moving in for good. We told mom we wanted to adopt her but mom says that she's a healthy little girl and will be just fine in the wild.
Well mom and them get home after being gone nearly the full day and they don't look happy. Guess we stay around here a bit longer.

Happy 11/11/11!!
Mom's been super busy this week, but she wanted me to fly by and leave a vote and tell you that I'm feeling a little better now. She's been keeping the blinds closed and keeping it darker in my room. I'm still a little "grumpy", but she's been able to take me out to play like usual, which is nice for both of us!
I'm still kind of moody and protective around my cage, but otherwise I'm behaving myself! :o) Thanks for your input and concern and advice. Mom also did some research online, and it definitely seems that I have/had all the signs of wanting to mate. Hopefully it will pass completely soon, and I'll be my usual charming self! :o)

Hi Mango!
Guess what? I was a naughty boy today! Mom thinks I might be wanting to mate or something, because I'm not acting like myself at all. She was hoping maybe your mom could offer some advice if she has any, since she hasn't dealt with this in a bird before (other than what she's read in the birdie books).
This morning, when she came in to get me and get my vegetables ready (like she usually does), I had my beak open ready to attack, I puffed out my feathers, and I had my tail flared out, and I snapped at her. I even bit her finger through the cage, and then I sat back on my perch and laughed! Mom said that was really naught, because I made her finger bleed!
I was also screaming out (which I rarely do, unless I need food), and so she heard that I needed my room darker if this was hormonal and related to breeding/mating behavior. Once she closed the blinds in my room and covered the cage, I settled down and got quiet. She took the cover off a little later when it got darker outside naturally.
Tomorrow she is hoping I am a bit better after my day of "calming down", but any advice you can give to help Mom with my "temper tantrum" would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
