 10 years ago mom worked at a petco,& I came into the store to be sold. My mom was in charge of me and we fell in love. It took a while to get the money to buy me. But when she had it, and went to get me and make me hers, another girl she worked with bought me that morning(and I didn't even like her). A year later they returned me. The people at the petco did try to find my mom, but she moved. She never forgot me. One day she went into Magnolia Bird Farm, (just to buy peanuts)for the other birds and David(grandson)- pulled away to go see the birdies, and mom saw be. Well, she saw a White Crown Pionus. As she came over for a closer look and read my tag and saw my name and age, she new it was me. She even cried. Mom when right home and told Dad she found me, and they came right back and got me. She NEVER forgot me. I am the reason mom loves birds SO much. Mom even bought a baby White Crown Pionus (who should be moving in with all of us in a few days). My mom is sure it hurt my last owner to give me up, but is very greatful they did.I hardly ever have to be in my cage. I have Falcor and Remy( meyers & Congo Grey) to talk to. And lots of people to talk to.
I now have my forever home.
And we are so HAPPY.. |

I love your story. Isn't it awsome how all that worked out? "Someone" was watching over you!! I'm a wild caught Blue Headed Pionus. My Vet thinks I'm about 18-20 yrs. old and was probably one of the last to legally come into this country. My leg band says I came in through the Newark, New York quarentine station. My Mommy is going to contact them and see if the number on my leg band can help them give us any more information about me. Do you know any other Pi's? The info. my Mommy read says "they" think we live to be somewhere between 20 and 40 years. What has your Mommy learned about that? My Mommy wants to learn everything she can about Pi's because she had never met one before me. Hope you can come by again sometime. Here is a vote for you.Come visit me, Taylor.
