Dusty was rehomed (his sibling was placed first)after almost 3 years(?). It appeared that the first home had saveral young boys that tormented him. It's been a slow process with Dusty-he's still terrified of hands-no step up- and he (I believe) still is traumatized by his separation from his sibling. He will cry when any human or flock member leaves the room. It took him 6 months before he even whistled..

Active within 1181 Days Hi! My name is Dusty I am a Cockatiel from Chicago, IL. Pigpen, Mr. Whiney 9 years old M Cockatiel Millet, millet, millet Organoc popcorn and pine nuts. I like being out and sitting at the top /sides of my cage. I wi;; settle for sitting in my pellet bowl. Human flock not in room, human flock TOO close. Bad whistlers Mom will TRY and whistle to me, although she's very bad. To make her feel better I start whistling badly. I love Poppa cause he feeds me good stuff and mists my wings so nice. Putting my head down for a scritch then running away. I never met a human or bird that I didn't want near me -but NOT TOO CLOSE.

Hi Dusty Geez I'm sorry to hear you have been seperated from your sibling. I have my sister Jewely with me and Mom will never seperate us. I love to whistle, my favorite is Jingle Bells, and I don't care what time of the year it is...I whistle as loud as I can.
