 A co-worker gave Fluffy to me because Fluffy would attack my co-worker's 6 year son everytime Fluffy was out of it's cage. The boy's parents were puzzled as to what was triggering Fluffy to become viscious. Then, it was later discovered that the little boy would stick a clothes hanger in the cage when his parents weren't watching !!!!
Once Fluffy came into my home, she and I bonded immediately. All the birdie needed was someone to be GOOD to her, LOVE her, and RESPECT her. I showered her with the most awesome bird toys, healthy food(nutricious pellets, fresh fruit,fresh water daily) a really big cage, a nice Happy Hut to sleep in at night, comfy perches, and gave her lots, and lots of love.
We bought Condy at the bird shop, to keep Fluffy company. I started working really long hours and couldn't bear the thought that the birdie would have to stay home alone. When I first saw Condy at the bird shop, there was an immediate connection. He's turned a beautiful shade of yellow/orange. He reminds me of a ripe peach with a little beak on it. Condy is a beautiful birdie and together they've become BEST FRIENDS. Condy is a little shy around other people.. |

Hellloooo again!
Oh Condy...Fluffy is so lucky to have a boyfriend like you! :) (Sigh). Some day I may find the right guy. I do have flock mates, and really, Apollo has tried to be my friend, so maybe it's a chick thing. I'll tell him he needs to try for a whole YEAR and then maybe we can hang out. Before mom got me, I was going to be a breeder bird (yuck) but I didn't have the right temperment (excuse me?) and didn't like any of the boys, so they sold me as a pet. Mom scooped me up and took me in, even with all my issues (I don't like other birds, or being touched, or scratched or tickled or anything!). Mom is patient and because of that, I let her kiss my belly and head, so I am coming around.
Here's another vote for you! Thanks for thinking I'm cute. :)

Lola here..I see my other flock mates have flown over to say hello, so I have to as well! A boyfriend? Hah! Apollo is secretly in love with me, but I kind of like Raven, however Raven has a thing for Luca, and Lyzo knows about it, so Lyzo acts all cool because he has a thing for me too, but I may like Clyde. Hi Fluffy and Condy!
Gandalf here. :) Thanks for visiting me. I see my friend Apollo came to visit. He says I fling food at the conures!?!? Well!..Um, ... Ok, sometimes I do. :) Apollo likes the dried mango, so I huck that at him. Raven likes popcorn, so I fling some of that his way. The midgets (Luca and Lyzo) are eating machines and eat anything! Lola is picky and will only eat walnuts if I chuck one her way, and Clyde? Well, he's too new to lob anything at. Give me time! :) I love my conure flock mates, but they do get going pretty loud sometimes. I especially enjoy telling them " go to sleep, kids!". hee hee. :)

You two are adorable and beautiful!!!! Apollo here flying by to say thanks for the vote and yes...CONURES RULE which is why mom has a whole flock of us! We have a grey too, Gandalf, who is pretty cool and talks to us quite a bit and sometimes flings food as us! hee hee. We just got a new member of the flock, a Patagonian mom adopted from a parrot rescue. He is so scared. My cage is right next to his and I jabber with him all the time. I think he likes us all. :) Here's a vote for you, cuties!! Us Conures stick together always!

There is a Jenday conure in our flock but he has more green then that beautiful red and yellow that you have. Mom brought our Jenday "Sunny" a sleepy hut and he loves it. I love that your mom got Condy to keep you company. Mom did that with her birds to. She felt guilty when she had to work late. So everyone in the flock has a buddy. Oh are you two precious! As for the kid with the coat hanger...BAD BOY!!!The same thing happened to a dog that was given to me because he bit the little boy where he lived,...turns out that the little boy tried to take his eye out. Some kids just can't be trusted with animals.

I had to give a shout out (and a vote) to two Chi-Town Suns! I bet it gets loud at your house! I live with a Congo African Grey here in the Chicago Suburbs. I chuckled when I read about your favorite foods. We LOVE AviCakes and Nutriberries! My Human Dad refers to them as "Birdie Drugs"!
