 The woman who attends to my needs (my housekeeper and cook) found me at a pet store and took me home. She thought I was a male.... (ha!)....anyway that's what the silly people at the store said. She didn't quite know what to think when the two male canaries in the flock started singing and professing their undying love to me.. |

I am a Canary from Rochester, NY.

I love so many different foods... ..fruits, veggies, and whole grain breads are my favorites.
 I love to fly over to the mirror of the curio cabinet. I can spend hours admiring myself there.
 I don't like the rare occasion my mom closes my cage doors. It's usually when strange people come over. I am a free and independent kind of girl. I come and go as I please, and being locked up is not the way I want to live.
 She gives me complete freedom to come and go as I please. I return to my cage when it's my choice to do so.
 I like flying over to visit my friend, Summer, every morning. He's a red-factor canary, and I think he's really cute. After I check on him, I like to explore for a little bit before I fly home for lunch, a bath, and afternoon nap. I like to leave my house before the maid comes to do daily housekeeping and room service. I fly back home when I'm pretty sure that my room has been made up and food delivered. There is one more really unusual thing I do......I'm a girl, and now and then I sing.....not very often, but life is good and I can't help myself..
 Flying is the way to go!.

Hello Sunshine,
You have a beautiful life. What nice friends you have.
I also love to fly all
around and just go back to my cage during the day
to get water or to rest
My cage is actually my bedroom.
I have another cage that I have to go into for timeouts
when I bite Janet's husband. But I bring that on myself.
I'm trying to be nicer and just nip, not bite.
I have 2 play gyms and I also like to hangout on the oven door handle, cause it's reflective black and I
can see myself. I'm so cute.
