In Memoriam
The Big Boss Lady, the Mom of the Royal Maid, the Queen of the People Coop, died early December.
I let the Royal Maid take a much-needed vacation to take care of things, and she is just catching up on my correspondence now.

Hi Princess
Sorry it has been so long since we posted. Mom has been very busy with this, that and the other thing. We now seem to be ready for Christmas. Decorations in place, food bought and I am sure the odd present hidden here and there. Today we are just enjoying a relaxing day and flying round to say hi to all of our friends. I see you had snow! I am sure you are snug in your place with the peasents around you to keep you warm. I hope the maid is bringing you warm mash each morning. Hehehe. Hope you are having a great day. Great name! Love it. Well, the thing is, I don’t LIKE flying. She thinks it’s weird that I don’t like to because I’m a bird for Heaven’s Sake!
Oh a POLISH hen! Mum almost got one of those instead of me. Glad she liked my breed (Belgian D’uccle Mille Fleur) better!
Oh I’m from Ideal Poultry in Texas. Mum almost ordered chicks from Murray McMurray!

We are playing catch up today. Mom has been that busy that she hasn't had a chance to get on the PC for a day or two. Fortunately she is typing to all my friends first before she response to her own emails. She certainly does spoil me. Hehehe. So you have your own place with lackeys and a maid. How wonderful. I think Mom would like a maid. I can't tell you how often, after sweeping my seeds up off the floor for the 15th time, that with me around she needs a full time maid! Hehehe. The other thing that I often wonder about is, well.. I wonder if I might have some noble stock in me somewhere. Mom often refers to me as her ladyship or my lady. Perhaps there is an Earl or a Baron in my family tree. I mean why else would Mom tell me sometimes that I am a right little madam! Hehehe. So I was wondering. As you live in NJ it gets sort of cold. So were to you hang out in the winter? Are you in the house or do you have your on palace? My guess is you have your own palace. I stay in the house but I do have my own pad. Actually I have two. One is down stairs in the main area of the house and then I have the place where I sleep. Have to fly now. Thanks for flying by to see me. Mom has loved birds ever since she can remember. When she was little she would go to her Grandfathers farm and he would always catch one of the hens for her to hold and pet. Feeding the chickens was always her favorite job. She did say thought that none of her grandfathers birds were any where near as spendid as you are. Hope you will fly by again soon. Welcome to the club. I agree, we need to have an "other" choice. You sure are a Royal Chicken. My Mom has three parrots, 1 Banty Rooster (probably a serf to you), 6 peacocks and a lone goose. Obviously the parrots are the only birds living in the house. Well, your highness, if you don't mind rubbing wings with the ordinary folks stop by sometime.
