 I have been looking for a velcro parrot for some time. I really missed my deceased love bird (Fresca) and met this beautiful baby at my pet store. Have been thinking about this baby for a while, know the breeder and store owner has an excellent reputation. I had let another bird go earlier and was devastated. Things happen for a reason and it was just so natural to bring little Cielito home.. |

 Gold cap conure. Mom wants to thank everybody on all the really cool name suggestions. She named me after the famous Spanish song, my name means 'pretty little sky'. Google this song and you will be surprised that you know it, but didn't know the name!

I'm just learning about some different foods. Mom puts a variety for me to try and so far, I love corn, grapes, bean cuisine,broccol- i, apples, papaya, snow peas, carrots and learning more each day.
 I love all my toys (I have tons!) But my favorite spot is on mom's shoulder or in her blouse.
 I don't even know what I'm doing, and she shows me so much love. I will be 5months old on Jan. 20th. She still treats me like I'm her present.

How is the laying on your back doing are you getting the hang of it. MomTeaching waddles to play dead be catching on pretty fast. We go see Santa this weekend the dogs went LADT time and yep we got our lust made out to give him. I may just stay home and ket the others go . Now when the dogs went they had it in a area that was block off you walk through a door way so other dogs really could not see other dogs. It was pretty safe. Did your mom check into your store to see how they do it. Boy it's a cold night here mom said its so cold it could snow. Not much going on here so kicking your vote off. How are you? Sorry it took soooooo long to get back to you but the other fiblings were hogging the computer again. Oh we all been good here to but Waddles he got in trouble from dad cause dad seen him butting at Stormy's feet when we was on the gym. Waddles is usual,y nice to us but I think he haven a bad bird day. Mom took the FURBALL to see Santa at PETCO on Sunday they did good. She said Santa-will be back to PETCO she may take Stormy, Casper Sugar and me to meet Santa. I sure hope so. What do you want for Christmas? Mom Is almost done with Christmas shopping just a few odds and ends . Here a Monday vote for you

YES WE HAVE LOTS OF PET STORES PLUS FAMILY HAS A FEW FRIENDS THAT HAS BIRDS OR HAS BIRDS OR BREEDS THEM SO IF THEY HAVE ANY QUESTIONS SHE HAS LOTS OF REFERENCE TO CALL. MOM LEARNED TO HAND FEED COCKATIELS FROM ONE OF HER FRIENDS THAT USE TO RAISE COCKATIELS AND SHE HAD MOM COME OVER TO HELP HER PLUS SHE WOULD ONLY LET OUR FAMILY WATCH HER BIRDS WHEN THEY WENT OUT OF TOWN SO THE FRIEND TAUGHT DAD AND BROTHERS HOW TO HAND FEED TO. SHE ALSO TAUGHT MOM HOW TO TRIM WINGS AND NAILS. SHE STILL HAS A FEW TIELS BUT DONT RAISE THEM ANYMORE. MOM STILL WATCHES HER BIRDS. when the friend comes over to visit she brings a tiel or two for a play date with us. I HAVE NOT MET THEM YET BUT MOM SAID SOMETIME I WILL. I HAVE TO SETTLE IN FIRST. Thanks for the nice welcome to the BC I'm settling in nice to my home. Dad and I spending lots of tine together at night cause he work during the day. That ok mom been home and brothers to so ww vet plenty of love. Mom will be going back to wrk but both brothers work evenings so they home with us all day. Boy it's cold here the last few days we ears the weather person say a chance if snow flurries on Monday. Hmmmm wonder what snow looks like. Mom said spits cold but very pretty on the ground and trees but no fun to drive in sometimes. I got peaches tonight for a snack and really sunk my beak into them they was yummy in my tummy. Today mom stuck her head in my cage while I was in it. She was looking for where she needed to wipe down the cage. Instead of biting, I told her "hello". Then I yelled at skinsis for coming near, hehehe.

Thank you so much for BOTD! It was such a wonderful surprise. I enjoyed being king again. I've missed the castle since last month and yesterday was so fun! BC is amazing! Thank you!
Me and mom went outside today. It's mostly sunny and warm, but a little windy. We shared a creamie and then rode around on a bike. It was great!

Never talk to the parrot
Mrs. Peterson phoned the repairman because her dishwasher quit working. He couldn't accommodate her with an "after-hours" appointment and since she had to go to work, she told him, "I'll leave the key under the mat. Fix the dish washer, leave the bill on the counter, and I'll mail you a check. By the way, I have a large rotweiler inside named Killer; he won't bother you. I also have a parrot, and whatever you do, do not talk to the bird!"
Well, sure enough the dog, Killer, totally ignored the repairman, but the whole time he was there, the parrot cursed, yelled, screamed, and about drove him nuts.
As he was ready to leave, he couldn't resist saying, "You stupid bird, why don't you shut up!"
To which the bird replied, "Killer, get him!!!"

i have been thinking about you and am glad you stopped by. how is everything going at your house. has mom found another job yet? i am doing pretty good. my diet seems to have given me increased energy since i am not eating anything high fat and carbs. it took me a long while yo adjust to eating veggies but i am starting to like them. i still scream a lot when i see mom eat anything like pizza or bread, pasta, crackers. mom is afraid to let me have any because she knows once a get a taste that is all i want. i am also starting to eat my regular bird food which is a mixture of seeds, nuts and pellets. you have to realize i ate no bird food for years only people food. the vet said i was in pretty good shape except for the high fat (the one thing mom never worried about and he is working slowly to correct my beak. i hope everyone at your house is healthy and happy and i am very interested in how your mom is doing. love coriCome visit me, Paddy Cake & Piddy Girl, CORI vote Luigi 225307 & BOO BOO vote Luigi BOTM 225307.

thankyou for your concren. it is very expensive when you get test results for anything but at least people have better insurance coverage. so i am sorry to hear about moms losing her job. once the ceo's have gotten rid of workers they will then have extra money to give themselves bigger bonuses and force workers not fired to work 3X's as hard or lose their jobs also. the vet did not give mom much to go on as far as helping cori. most of it mom has found on the i ternet and asked the vet if she was doing the right thing and he said yes. he feels a lot of coris problems will be solved by losing weight but looking at her lab results show extreme high levels of cholestrol and liver disease so mom is going for a second opinion next week with a new vet and if she had th e money she would have gone to at least 4 more by now. cori has always had a extremely nutritious diet. the problem is her cage is located on our first floor which is one big room with the kitchen dining room and living room combined so she sees everything going on in the kitchen and everytime so one is eating something cori always gets some too. that is her downfall. because cori loves to eat people food and after 20 years of living like this mom is finaly forcing cori to eat more pellets and kayte oranic parrot food with lots of veggies and a few fruits. she is not allowed to have any snacks from anyone eating. it is not that anyone ever gave her anything bad to eat it is just she eats too much of it. the vet feels if cori loses 40g she will do much better but mom suspects it will take more than that. love cori and her momCome visit me, Paddy Cake & Piddy Girl, CORI vote Luigi 225307 & BOO BOO vote Luigi BOTM 225307.
