A friend recommended a whiteface cockatiel breeder and I got lace and chintz from the same breeder (unrelated). To date lace has layed 3 out of 3 successful nests. Although I had to help with the first..

Active within 780 Days Hi! My name is Lace I am a Cockatiel from New Zealand, Intl. Just lace, but she is queen of the aviary 5 years old F Cockatiel Softfood and millet and she loves throwing the bits of oranges at me if I've put to much in,she doesnt like her precious bread to go soggy. On the shelf perch on the wire aviary door watching people, in the nest box with chintz. Not having constant human contact as she was hand raised. Guy the budgie poking his head in the nest box. She helped me with my first nest, handraised my daughter lucca and has helped me transition into aviary life. Although I do get heaps of hugs. Basically I am queen so I do get special priveleges. When she is meant to be on eggs, if I'm in the aviary she will ditch them to sit on my shoulder/play with my hair and then when I leave she goes back in. If Lace is out for too long her mate chintz will go in to keep the babies warm. If anything lace is a little aloof and chintz is six months older than her so he is a bit more on track with the breeding thing. Also Lace has a bit of a thing for Opie which has made Wyatt and Chintz jealous. Chintz will do the manliest swagger if he sees Opie and puffs up even though he is the smallest of the four and Wyatt will squeal and hiss at Lace. Lucky they are not all together.. Sitting in the sun is fun fun fun.

WOW wolf whistle what a pretty bird! Munin here, thanks for the note. You are so pretty and so is the rest of your flock. Human mommy got mad at me today, lol but it was her mistake that she put me in the hen flight by mistake, rather than the cock flight. What did she expect me to do with my time? She relized her error when I started chasing all the hens and mounting them. Now I wonder which one she will set me up with? Lace is beautiful. Lace is quite a lady already having 3 nests. We visited New Zealand when we were on a cruise in 2008. Lovely place and friendly folk. My mom was lucky enough to visit almost exactly a year ago-- she did a bit of a road trip around the South Island. She tells us stories of how beautiful and peaceful it was.
