Mom wanted a parrot and found a little mostly-green youngster (me) at her local bird store. I was in a cage with my brothers and sisters. I flew right to Mom and snuggled against her neck. Mom knew there and then that I was the bird for her. I molted out all orange and red and yellow!

I'm the lovely creature in the front in the photo. Salsa is the guy in the back. (He has his own webpage, lucky guy.).

Active within 715 Days Hi! My name is Poe I am a Sun Conure from San Francisco, CA. Poser 13 years old F Sun Conure I like sooo many things . . . any kind of nut or a raisin or Nutriberry are wonderful! On my cage door, on my sundeck, on Mom's shoulder None! She takes such good care of me and my mate, Salsa. Every morning we get veggies and grains, and she gives us a little snack and a big bowl of pellets before she leaves for work. (I love those pellets, even though they're good for me.) We get lots of outside time, when we can just chill on our cages and hang out with Mom. I wiggle my tongue back and forth when I'm excited. Mom thinks it's very cute.. Just Love Me!.

Jingle Bells, Raven smells, Gandalf laughs all day,
Oh what fun, it is to squawk, the afternoon away,
HEY!
Jingle Bells, Apollo fell, off his perch today
Oh what fun, it is to ride, on a one-mom open Sleigh.

Dashing through Lola’s cage,
Taking all her toys away.
Hiding them in Luca’s hut,
Blaming Lyzo all the way.
HEY!
Poor Clyde lost snacks,
In the feathers on Ravens back,
Gandalf’s still laughing away,
And lobbing food at the cat,
Hey!
Bells on Lyzo’s tail,
Are making spirits high,
What fun it is to Squawk and talk
Until Christmas morn arrives!

Your welcome my friend, I have not been sick, but I have seen mom & dad & know its not fun. I make sure mom takes care of the 3 "little ones," (as mom calls the 3 birds smaller then me), every night. Fresh pelt food & fresh water for all of us. When you are 100% better, Mystic will come over & give you a great ride where you live. Mom visited where you lived once years ago & some areas where great for a ride.

Happy to hear your great news, Poe! It's not good to have a concussion, don't get us wrong, but it's great that it's not more serious! We are both glad to hear you are doing well again. Guess what? We got a timneh today! Mom is really happy. This guy is around 30, just arrived at the rescue last Friday, and mom got him today! His page will be up as soon as we get some good photos. So glad to hear you are doing better. The same thing happened to me a few months ago except I climbed back to my perch. The parronts rushed me to the vet too and all was fine so he said I went into shock. Then a couple weeks ago my frother Indigo fell his gym and hit the floor hard and guess what? He did same thing but this time Mom was there and knows what happened. It was very scarey for us and for the parronts. I am so glad you are doing good. Leaving you a big hug, pass one along to your Mom, PJ and a Artie.

Sidney here wondering how you're feeling? We haven't heard anything new so we're hoping all is working out.
Mom doesn't like the way I'm fluffing and is taking me to vet tomorrow. I'm sure not looking forward to that even tho Sly and Kiwi says it isn't so bad. But if mom says I need to go then I'll go. I'll let everybird know how I fared. hehehe

It's Apollo, checking in! I just finished telling Salsa how much fun I've had with flinging food lately and I have to know - do you fling too? Mom came in the other day and I had a juicy piece of strawberry in my beak. She looked right at me and she swears I smiled as I flung it towards the wall. It landed on Clydes cage instead and he got ALL irritated with me. He flung it right back! It's like a Rugby team in our Aviary right now!

It's Apollo flying by for a chipper Hello to my friend! How have you been? The parronts have been gone and just returned so we finally get some computer time. Whew! I've missed all my friends! While they were gone, however, Raven and I did terrorize the pet sitter. Hah! We tag-teamed her and apparently she was not happy as she told mom she cannot pet-sit anymore (was it something I said? Or maybe something I threw at her?). It was neither - she is just concentrating on her doggie rescue program so mom is interviewing new pet sitters. This should be interesting! I have my piles of dried mango ready to lob!!!!
Anyhow, hope you are well and here's a vote for you!!

Poe; Our Bronze Medalist in the Pinata Rip
Kirby here again. I'm wondering how Artie's vet check-up went yesterday. One of your flockmates may have told one of us McConures already... I've not let any of them read their pages yet. We're sure hoping for some encouraging news for the sweetheart.

Had to laugh at the ingeniousness of your slick move in waiting fro Salsa to open up the pinata so that the goodies were easier for you to get to. And they say animals are 'dumb'. I think NOT.

Spending the day, watching it snow... from the comfort of mom's shoulder at the moment. Oh wait, I've just moved to the top of her head, the better to see your picture once this message has been 'sent'. K .^.

Glad you told me about Artie. I quick called Zoren and told him to go check his mail, which he did. We McConures were all gathered around, beaks to the computer screen, reading Winnie's note and the concerning news about Artie. We're so hoping she's already showing signs of getting well again. My toes are so crossed, I'm having a hard time holding onto a perch. Mom's just going to have to cradle me in her hand all day 'cause I just CAN'T uncross them 'till Artie's better.
Life is good here. Spent some time yesterday picking an apple apart that had been tucked into a wire whisk and hung on one of the hanging branches in my room. I made 'sauce' out of that baby! Also got some cuddle time on the couch while the parronts watched the Olympics. I saw those odd-looking creatures trying to fly without wings. Poor things- couldn't stay in the air very long. And oh, those odd long feet they have. Mom said their ski jumpers but I think they're just bird-wanna-bees.

Shoo, we McConures went a long stretch there without signing in to the BC. How embarrassing! I get mom home from her vacation, I'm all excited about finally getting back to blogging with my friends but she gives me excuses about why she just can't help me at the moment. *pout* Things are looking up: I'm here now!

So you're the only one Salsa obeys, huh? Well, Girlfriend, I'm definitely going to have to hang out with you and pick up some pointers on how to keep a guy in line should I ever have a guy to keep in line. While Kirby and Zoren have a close friendship, Jensen and I tend to act more like three year olds, playing side by side but not WITH each other. He's never offered to preen those hard to reach pin feathers on the neck so I've not offered the same to him. Aren't the guys supposed to make the first move? Yes, it's the 21st century, I suppose I could ditch the old ways and go for whatever my girlie heart desires. I would if I knew what it was I desired. So far, it's not Jensen.

Winter is not done with us yet either and I don't suppose that should be considered news. It is, after all, just at the halfway mark. There's 42 days left till spring. Does that give you any hope?
