 Mom found me all alone in the back of a dirty little pet store in a bare cage. She saved me from that unhappy existence and brought me into a life of light, great food, and wonderful company. She introduced me to Poe, another Sun Conure (who's in the photo with me - I'm the handsome guy in the rear). I love Mom and Poe, but I'm not very friendly to other people or birds. I just have baggage that came with me. She works with me help me develop better social skills. I'm a challenge, but I'm making progress!. |

Hi from Salty
Hi Salsa,I didn't just join. But I just got back home. Not much going on here. Except that daddie almost sat on Roscoe the other night. He turned out the lights for us and went downstairs to mess with his computer. When he came to bed he went to sit on the bed and heard a growl. He turned on the lights. And found him under the covers on his side of the bed. He almost got squashed. Lucky for him daddie put his hand on the bed before sitting down. Hope all is well with you and your flock. Salsa!!!!!
It's Apollo just flying by for a visit. How have you been? Whats new? Are you happy Spring is here? Oh boy am I happy. I have been flinging food everywhere (love to make patterns on the walls with strawberries and grapes - they stick so well!). Summer is quickly approaching in a mere few weeks, and then the heat starts and I tend to calm down a little. In the interim, I have chewed the cords off my sleepy hut (which mom had to fix for the 30th time) in hopes mom buys me a new one! Hah!

Hi there Salsa!!
How are you doing, my friend? All is well here. Just calming down from this mornings very early Earthquake. Yes, it was small but (according to mom) we were only 5 miles from the epicenter, so at 4:04am this morning, the house started jolting and rolling. Mom came rushing out of bed and into the our room to calm us all down. She is good about that because we all start freaking out when those rude quakes wake us up in the middle of the night!
Ah, another flock member? PJ sounds adorable and I'm sure we'll be seeing some photos soon? I can't wait to hear all the new stories about PJ! Do be sure to tell me.
So are you having any flock members getting....Spring Fever? Hmmm.. Raven has been quite boisterious lately and picking fights with me. He is suppose to my BFF!

Hi Salsa!!
Apollo here and tardy as usual! :) How have you been? I have been well. Just busy stealing my friend Ravens snacks and swimming in my food bowl again. I'm not quite sure why I do this. I think its fun to dive in, curl up, shimmy sideways, upside down, and watch the food fling everywhere! Then later I wonder why I have no food left. Huh. Mom has tried everything from diffent bowls, blah blah, and I do it to all of them. She tried one of those hooded bowls. You know what I do? I curl up in it and go in circles really fast so the food shoots out, then I take a nap inside! I'm so weird but mom loves me and gave up because it actually makes her laugh!
Anyhow, thats what I have been up to!!
So tell me, whats new?

Apollo here with good news what we surived the Western Wallop on our end! Our Southern Cal flock is wondering how your Northern Cal flock did during all the past crazy weather! Mom said she is building an Ark, if you're interested. :)
Did you guys have any problems up there? We had nasty winds (which I personally do not like) and rain rain rain, and hail and trees fell over, the internet went down for days. Argh. We are glad the sun is out however more rain tonight and this weekend. (sigh).
We all hope you guys are doing well up there. :) Just think - another few months and spring is here. Hooray!!

Nolly here. Oh yeah, mom was born in Oregon and raised here in Reno. She used to spend the summers in Placerville with her cousins. So she is definitely west coast. But yeah as long as we're all together.
Oh, Levalla went to a new home where she now has a husband and they are in a very large aviary. She is so very happy. And Dulsay went to a different home. She too has a very handsome husband and a very loving girl to care for her. And she's happy too. But the rest of us are NOT leaving this home. We love and are loved.
Punkin, Handsome and Aya are doing very well too. No way are they leaving us either. We don't know who will move in for fostering next or if they will ever leave once they get here.

Kiwi here. Just wanted you to know we haven't forgotten about our new friends. Things have been way bad here. Sly broke his lower beak on new years eve and there were no vets to take him to. Then when mom called on Sat...still no one for birds. Mon our vet still wasn't in (if he would have known about Sly he would have come in)So today is the first he was able to see vet. He's doing real good and is even eating on his own as long as it's his special food. And he has to take pain meds...which he couldn't get until today. Hey, he even chased dad upstairs today.

Nolly here. Yep the house is up. Mom said her skin daughter wants us all to move to NC, but mom's always been a western girl. Or., Nv, Ut and summered in Ca. She was raised here in Reno area and would summer with cousins in Ca. So to move WAY over to NC would be a challenge. But they did survive ND. She said that was super cold. ***heaves sigh*** but whatever. mom sure doesn't want to give any of us up that's for sure. And we aren't making any plans yet. But there sure has been lots of people come look at the house.

Nolly here. Hey thanks for flying by guys. Sure glad you did. Yeah, the flock is pretty good. We tiels get to fly all over when mom isn't showing off the house. We found out last week that the house is up for sale. But we won't worry until something happens.
You should see Sly climb the stairs too. He doesn't know how do go down tho. hehehe WE can fly up or down.
