Hi Every birdie! Squeaky's mom is working with two web designers to build a new and improved but similar bird club for us to play on since our beloved BC will be deleting our Bird eClub sometime this year! We need your support! So start nagging your parronts so we can stay together!
Basically, the more parronts that sign up, the cheaper the initial set up fee will be and also the annual fee to join the site. For more information and to sign up to participate please visit my page 28415 and leave an email address. Or you can email my mom, Sunny, directly at our email nubinskis@aol. com. She will send you all the up to date information that has been sent so far and she can answer all your questions. She also told me to tell you that all ideas and suggestions are most welcome. She also is hoping to find some parronts that have some expertise in working with advertisers and who would volunteer to get advertisers for the site. If that happens, costs would be next to nothing or maybe even nothing for all of us to play together.
So send your parronts to my page 28415 or email us to get information, leave suggestions and to sign up!

  Hi Cori
An extra set of ribs? No wonder your mom has problems, since there probably isn't room for those extra bones.
They have to be pressing on something.

I am not getting outside for a sunbath today, even though it is just about warm enough. The problem is me! My mom was in my room drinking hot tea from her travel mug for a headache, and I decided I didn't like the mug....and I attacked her hand that was holding it. Yep, another nasty bite, and I am now in my room in time out. I know I have been bad, because I am being very quiet. Mom didn't really yell at me, but she did say Good-bye pretty loud and three times! Haven't seen her since except for lunch. I behaved then, so why am I still a bad boy?

I did get a sunbath yesterday, although since I couldn't blog (thanks a lot, BC) I couldn't tell anybirdy about it. Today is trash day with the big trucks coming around, so I might not have gone outside anyway. Those trucks really scare me. And it is pretty windy here even if it is 75 degrees out.

I may not be blogging tomorrow, because my mom has to drive her friend down to court for an appeal on a disability hearing. If she gets home in time though, I will still be able to blog. We shall see.

Don't forget to vote for Miss Ruby #35469, there are only a few more days to vote!

  Hi Cori
I am apologizing for not coming by to see you yesterday!Mom was sitting down and getting our blogs done when all of a sudden we kept getting the Squawkatiel and then the 404 page not found and the runtime error and we couldn't get on BC so Mom thought that if she logged out and then logged back in again she could get us back on but that only made it worse,we couldn't get on period and this happened from late morning to the rest of the day and night,so here we are trying to catch up where we rudely got dumped.Mom has been having BC problems all week long and it just culminated yesterday when we got shut down entirely!I so miss talking to you also my sweet Cori, you always bring the sunshine to me whenever I see your sweet face on my page!
Its a dark, dismal, dreary pouring rainy day here but the temperatures are warm at 59 and supposedly going up to 61.Its not cold but having no sun and warm weather just doesn't cut it for us!Where is the bright sunshine?
Our hearts and prayers go out to your sweet Momma and so hope she's getting some relief from the pain she's in,my Mom can only imagine what she must be going through, not being able to sleep or move without being in torturous pain like that! Please give her another warm hug from my Mom and we all send her warm wing hugs also to make her feel better!
Wishing you a greyt day and I'm sending you all my love along with warm birdie hugs and soft beakie kisses!Loving you always and forever,my sweet loving Cori!Love Kallie

`Ü´ Greetings & A Lovely Monday to You
Miss CORI and Miss BOO BOO!

I do hope that your Saturday and Sunday were full of fun and productivity. I know in my case I had to relinquish Momma’s eggsclusive attention and assistance on my Campaign to be your December Bird of the Month to more pressing parrontal matters around our K Kritter Korral. (The portion of Sunday during which Momma was available to bring me to your page for a visit, the BirdChannel was not cooperating. You might say that their GPS was out of order! **TeeHee**)

You see, Momma and Daddy were informed that they could eggspect a visit from my Grandma from Idaho from later today, to last thru Thursday morning when they all gather at Daddy’s youngest brother’s home about an hour away from us for the first Family Celebration with everyone present since Momma and Daddy have known each other. Grandma was eager to be able to spend time here with Momma and Daddy, and all of us fids of course, before joining the rest of the family for a concurrent Celebration of Thanksgiving and her BirthDay on Thursday! Then she will remain with my Uncle and his family until she returns to her home in Idaho later in the week, while my other Uncle comes to pay us a visit over the long weekend.

So, all of this is to say that my visits may be a bit sporadic from now thru the end of the month, due to Grandma’s visit, the Holiday weekend with my Uncle visiting, and the upcoming Milonga Thanksgiving Bowl Game. I do apologize in advance for any visits I shall have to forego. But rest assured that I shall continue to do my utmost to bring you the maximum amount of FootBall information in the time we have left together.

And on that note, let us get straight to the information I’ve promised you next about the Offensive Squad on a FootBall team …

Let’s begin our eggsamination of the individual Positions on the Offensive Squad.

QuarterBack – The Player who usually receives the ball from the Center at the start of each play. He informs his TeamMates in the huddle of the play that will be run and then, after the Center snaps* the ball to him, either hands the ball to a Running Back or throws to a Receiver.

Center – The Player who hikes (or snaps) the ball to the QuarterBack at the start of each play. The term comes from the fact that this Player is flanked on either side by a Guard and a Tackle; he’s the “MiddleMan” (or Center) in a contingent of five Offensive LineMen or Blockers. He handles the ball on every play and also snaps the ball to the Punter and Holder.

Guard – There are two Guards on every play, and they line up on either side of the Offensive Center. The Guards protect the QuarterBack from an Inside Rusher; they block Defenders immediately across from them and also swing out, or pull**, and run toward either end [of the line] to block any Defender when the ball carrier runs wide°.

Come visit me, `Ü´ Ruby Coaches the Offense.

11/24/2014 07:49.08 AM Report This Comment
Tackle – Both Offensive and Defensive, on Offense they are Outside Blockers on the line of scrimmage°°.

Tight End – Serves as a BIG Receiver [Oh MY!] and also a Blocker. Unlike a Wide Receiver, this Player generally lines up beside the Offensive Tackle either to the right or to the left of the QuarterBack. (Also “Strong Side+”)

Wide Receiver – The Player who uses his speed and quickness to elude Defenders and catch the FootBall, but who isn’t primarily a Blocker. Wide Receivers are also known as “pass catchers” [but I-I-I would parrotsonally NOT disparage one so!]. Also called a WideOut.

Running Back – A Player who runs with the FootBall. Running Backs are also referred to as TailBacks and HalfBacks, depending on their exact responsibilities and alignment.

FullBack – A Player who lines up in the Offensive backfield++ and generally is responsible for blocking for the Running Back and pass-blocking to protect the QuarterBack. FullBacks also serve as short-yardage runners.

I would also like to call your attention to a display of several of the basic Offensive Formations which appear in the Gallery at the bottom of my page. (They also appear in my Profile Picture at the top of my page; but they are much clearer and contain eggsplanatory text in the photos in the Gallery.) I hope these are of use to you in recognizing some of what happens on the actual field of play the next time you watch a FootBall Game.

I am also including several definitions of terms used in the above Position Descriptions at the end of this note.

Have a Greyt Day! Perhaps enjoy watching The Jets play The Bills at 7:00 pm on CBS, or The Ravens play at The Saints at 8:30 pm on ESPN. Both times are EST. Remember, it is virtually illegal to watch a FootBall Game quietly. So do what we Avians are most well-known for doing … **S*Q*U*A*W*K** . **I*T** . **U*P** ! ! !

À la prochen frois, mes amies,
[Until next time, My Featheriends]
`Ü´ Ruby Francesca Beongia ♥

*snap—the action in which the ball in handed or hiked by the Center to the QuarterBack, to the Holder on a kick attempt, or to the Punter.
**pull—when a player leaves one area of the field, generally moving back and then over, to block in an area other than his normal position.
°run wide
°°line of scrimmage—the imaginary boundary between the two teams prior to the snap of the ball. The Offense’s and Defense’s scrimmage lines are defined by the tip of the ball closest to them and stretch from sideline to sideline. The Defensive Team usually lines up less than a yard away from where the ball is placed.
+strong side—the side of the Offensive formation where the Tight End aligns. With a right-handed QuarterBack, the strong side is usually to his right side.
++backfield—the group of Offensive Players (the Running Backs and QuarterBack) who line up behind the line of scrimmage (vs the Offensive LineMen and/or Receivers who line up at the line of scrimmage).

  Hi Cori
Poor mom, hope she feels better soon. Is she taking anything? Mom finds that Aleve helps with back and legs.
Sorry we weren't able to blog yesterday. Mom was at the Galleria, a shopping area about 20 miles (through city traffic) away. The event started at 12 and ran to 4, but the folks from the wildlife center wanted all the volunteers there at 11 to help set things up, and of course, they stayed at the end to put it all back in the vans. Mom and her partner had Quincy and Dan Quail; Jake the snake was at another table, and Ray the crow was in still another location on the second level. On the third level there were programs every hour featuring Murphy the skunk and Martha the Great Horned Owl. There were also refreshments and kid crafts, as well as face painting on that level. It was a fairly large event to organize and pull off so far from the center, but a local auto company outfitted a van and donated it for a year. It has cages in it, and is comfortable for a lot of animals, and has cats, dogs, and wild animals painted on the sides so we can now transport critters to events and hopefully make more cash.
Anyway, mom was pretty tired when she got home so she spent the evening cuddling with us and crocheting things for Christmas.
Today mom has 2 public tours in Dinosaur hall, but she'll be home making out the shopping list for Thanksgiving and being with us afterwards. We were going to try a Hubbard squash pie this year, but mom left the squash on the back deck, and it froze, so it's not good for anything except squirrels and deer now. Mom tossed it and the pumpkins over the hill for the animals this morning.
Our weather, after freezing rain yesterday morning (during the drive, of course), has turned warmer. It was in the high 40s when we got up today, and it's supposed to carry through until tomorrow, and be nice once again. It's probably our last hurrah, though. We can expect wintery conditions to get here again on Wednesday. Oh, and the furnace is finally up and running reliably after the guy replaced some pressure switches on Friday. I hope you are having a great day and getting lots of attention and love. Hugs, Falco

  Hey Cori,
Well thus morning is just starting as every birdie wakes up well rested and ready for the next game.

Mom has some orange juice and pineapple juice and other juices ready for every birdie this morning along with blueberry pancakes and pineapple waffles too.

The breakfast buffet was great and will give every birdie energy for todays game.

The coin toss is in favor of the girls so BooBoo serves the ball and it goes over to Gus and he bumps it to Pookie who sets it up fir Dixie who spikes it over to Chyna.

Chyna bumps it up to Kacey who volleys it over to Kiddo who hits it over and Laka catches it.

Forgetting about the no catch rule she smikes i forgot! Sorry!

The boys all looked shock and Laka says it was a mistake okay?

So now Raffi serves the ball and it gies over to Little Angel who bumps it up to Cori who hits it over the net to Chipper and he bumps it up to Kiddo and he tries to spike the ball over but it catches the net and the boys ho awww!!!

So now its Laka's turn to serve and she hits it over to Willie and he volleys it over to BooBoo and she bumps it up to Celine who hits it over to Mikey and he bumps it up to Dixie and he sets it up for Mario who spikes it over in the dead spot and the girls are unable to get it.

Cookie serves and the ball gies over to Kacey who bumps it up to Chyna who sets it up for Cori who spikes it over to Pookie who hits the ball but goes out of bounds.

They hear the whistle and mom says juice break!!

As it was getting hot in the 86 degree weather she doesn't want any birdie passing out of a heat stroke.

Time to hydrate she says and everyone heads to the tent for some cool refreshing drinks.

Come visit me, Angel Sallykins gives thanks to all her friends :), Pookie says Thanksgiving Pumpkin Pie !! Yay & Laka says Happy Thanksgiving From Hawaii. :).

  Hey Cori,
I can smell the pineapple cake in the oven baking says Lookie. Hmmmm

But mom says I have a special treat for everyone!

Mom made her killer lasagne with sautéed mushrooms and 3 cheese and hamburger all mixed in layers.

This will satisfy even the pickiest birdie. :)

Okay so everyone go wash up for dinner and see you at the dining table.

When they all get back there's a big pan of lasagne and garlic bread sticks and juice and water already on the table. A table set for a dozen birdies with plates and forks and knives and napkins.

Mom says a pretty prayer before everyone digs in.

Lord we thank you that we are all together and thank you for all the friendships that we have made along the way. May this meal nourish our bodies and keep us well.

Lord we also pray for our friends in the northern states with all that snow and coldness.

Please keep all of our friends safe from harm and keep them warm too.

In Jesus name we pray, Anen. Amen says every birdie.

Okay dig in! Momma Ruthie cuts the lasagne and puts it in every birdies plates along with garlic bread sticks and some tossed veggies.

Don't worry everyone the pineapple cake should be done by the time we finish dinner and ready for dessert.

Mom pours the juice in cups and has everyone pass it down till everyone has some juice.

Everyone is so quiet that all you could hear was hmmm chomp chomp of the food and no chatter. Mom figures that will come after.

After everyone is done with dinner she gets put the pineapple cake still warm from the oven.

Okay who wants a piece of pineapple cake??

Everyone yells I do !!!

After desert every birdie is so full and has gotten the birdie food paralysis and their eyes are starting to close and fall asleep. So mom puts out the big sleeping bag in front of the tv so everyone can watch and will eventually fall asleep.

They all had a hard day of volleyball games so let's let them sleep.

She covers everyone with a warm cool blankie as its in the high 70's with a little breeze coming in the window. So now every birdie is tucked in and she kisses everyone on the forehead goodnight sweetie! :)

Tomorrow is another game so get all the rest you can.

  Hello Cori~
I hope you are all having a wonderful day! It's still grey, wet and windy at my house! We have the fireplace on and it's very cozy inside! Mom tells me that if it were sunshine and warm all the time we wouldn't be able to use the fireplace!!
They had the first big snow up on the mountain today and it was a mess!! Snoqualmie pass is the main road between west and east out here and a lot of people use it. There were cars spinning all over the place! Some people didn't check the pass conditions before they went so they didn't have chains with them. Everyone who uses that road knows that you always check the pass conditions no matter what time of the year it is!
Mom is going to get the pantry straightened out today since it looks like something exploded in there!hehehehehe We have too much stuff and need to get some meals cooked. Mom only works 2 nights and then she'll be off 2 nights so we will have our Thanksgiving then. She got a ham and a turkey since they were great deals! Most stores don't do the cheap turkeys anymore but mom found one where she got the turkey for 48 cents a pound! I'm just looking forward to the corn bread! Maybe some pumpkin pie too!
You enjoy your day! Leaving a vote and a hug for you!
Love you ~ Sugar ♥

`Ü´ Greetings & OH! MY!! GOODness!!!
Miss CORI and Miss BOO BOO!

Does anybirdy ELSE realize how much there is to KNOW about FootBall??? Why … I had no idea how much I DIDN’T KNOW until Momma consented to help me learn for the sake of my Quest for the Bird of the Month Crown, and sharing her passion for The Game so that I might understand all of the HoopLa that I hear coming from the area of the television every time she watches a Game!!

Well! As promised, we shall begin our investigation into the individual responsibilities of the Players in each Position today. But I fear it will never fit into one day’s note. So we shall simply spread it out over several days so that you, My Featheriends, can take it all in and not fall asleep before you learn what you need to know!

You may recall from our earlier information that the NFL limits active, uniformed Players to 45 per Team on Game Day.

Each FootBall Team has 11 Players per side: 11 on Offense and 11 on Defense. Teams are allowed to play with fewer than 11 Players (and for the LIFE of me I can’t IMAGINE WHY they would WANT to???), but they are penalized for having more than 11 Players on the Field during play. Rarely, a few eggsceptionally talented Players may play both Offense and Defense in the NFL. (And I do believe that we have a few of those eggsceptionally talented Birdie FootBall Players on the Indians and Pilgrims Team Rosters!)

A typical NFL Game Day roster includes three QuarterBacks, a Punter, a PlaceKicker, a Kick Return Specialist, eight Offensive LineMen, four Running Backs, five Receivers, two Tight Ends, seven Defensive LineMen, seven LineBackers, and six Defensive Backs. (The NONSTARTING Players – that is, those who are not among the 22 or so Players who are listed in the Starting LineUp – are considered Reserves, and many of them are Specialists.)

In the NFL, an additional Player can be in uniform, but he must be a QuarterBack and enter the Game only after the other QuarterBacks have been removed from the Game because of injury. When this eggstra QuarterBack, or 46th Player, enters the Game, the other QuarterBacks are deemed ineligible and cannot return to that Game even if they are healthy.

With our very own 3rd Annual Milonga Thanksgiving Bowl Game approaching in a little over a week, and Players needing and wanting to know how to practice to yield the most effective results, when we next meet I shall delve into the individual Positions on the Offensive Squad.

Before I depart this evening, though, I do wish to thank you, once again, for your wonderful continuing support of my efforts to be your Christmas Queen on BirdChannel. I am truly beginning to feel the eggscitement of the prospect of having my dream realized. You and your featheriendship are appreciated more than you know.

A bientot, mes amies,

I need a bath too. My mom is also afraid because of the cold. I don't like the hair dryer at all. But, I let mom wrap me up in my fluffy bath towel and hold me under a quilt until I'm dry.
That is so funny about the talking parrot. Bailey had one.
The weather people say we have a total of 35 inches of snow. Today I was getting scritches from mom ... when the sun came out. Then it was gone (in two minutes) and back to darkness, snow and howling winds. This was NOT right! One more day of this snow stuff for now :(
Have a good night, I'm going back to my down comforter!

  Hi Cori and Boo boo
Oh I sure do love getting blow dried too after a bath but even if mom is blow drying her hair I beg to have it turned on me too.
Mom said I was a bit of a thief today. First dad had some lunch with shrimp and noodles that was left over from supper yesterday. Of course I didn’t get any of those when the parronts had them for supper so I swooped on to dad when he was having the left overs and helped my self to a very tasty noodle. Then this evening mom had some crackers she was munching on and I put my head in the box and got my own…just a piece cause mom caught me right away. It was a veggie cracker so thought that was good for me but mom says not. I get plenty of food here but its all the healthy stuff and you know sometimes a fid needs some junk food. “Sometimes I think “what is a friend?” and then I say a friend is some birdy to share the last treat with as I would share with you ” Leaving a vote for you. (They do not attend the s-e-n-i-o-r-s functions. **TeeHee** They attend CHURCH there.)

Momma and I were given half an hour to address the group, to share what Life with a Parrot is like, for most of them had never had an eggsperience with a companion parrot; particularly not one of my size! When we have a program like that, Momma usually starts out by eggsplaining how she and Daddy came to start a flock like the K Kritter Korral, and how it grew; and then, through sheer human curiosity, we have a wonderful conversation about what all is entailed in living with a parrot (or parrotS). Of course, I-I-I contribute greatly to program content; this time including a stroll back and forth in front of the front row at one point, for emphasis of the subject matter at hand. (At just the right point in time I climbed down off my play stand and let Momma know I had something to add. **GRiN**)

When our time for the presentation was over, the group had some lunch together. I was given my fill of some lovely white grapes by a number of brave ladies and gentlemen, and then several of them wanted to have their picture taken with me. In my Gallery at the bottom of my page you can see just a couple of the lovely folks I visited with parrotsonally.

I shall return with those promised eggsplanations of the positions of the players on a FootBall team when next I visit.

Toutes alors, mes amies,
[Until then, My Featheriends]

  Hi Cori
Well, Mom had her endoscopy yesterday, and since it was a just a follow-up to the surgery she had in August to make sure all was well in her tummy she wasn't worried. They had a small issue with the fact that when I bit my mom over the Ensure instead of lunch, it was right where they would normally put the IV. So it went into her forearm, but the nurse was very good and it really didn't hurt much at all. Not only did the procedure go well, but her ulcer is finally gone too! So no more acid reflux, and nor more ulcer. She's a happy camper....except she's still not allowed to take Excedrin. Boohoo!

After she got home from the hospital yesterday, she took a short nap to sleep off the drugs and then the rest of the day was mine! And although she didn't feel much like eating, we did share a protein/oatmeal cookie. Yum! Her dinner was just that stupid Ensure again, so I never even saw the bottle.

Now today is cloudy and cool here, so I will not be getting outside at all. Mom is wearing sweats and a fleece and her warm bedroom slippers. And my heater is staying on all day. At least I have plenty of Mom time, so I can't really complain.

  Hi Cori
Mom waited and waited for the guy to fix the furnace last night. He finally came around 6:15. Of course, when he got here, the furnace kicked on! He looked and decided there was nothing wrong, except that when mom changed the batteries she forgot to put the override hold button on. He pushed the button, charged mom, and left. This morning when mom got up, it was 59 degrees in here again. She called them back before going to work. She told the girl who assigns people what happened, and that she was going to work and wouldn't be home until 1 or so. The girl promised we'd get an earlier visit today. Mom jiggled the thermostat this morning and had it working for awhile, but when she got home from work, it was only 60 in here again! The guy got here by 1:30 and he just left a few minutes ago.
When he went down and took the door off the furnace, it kicked on! He checked all the switches, the intake and outgo vents, and everything else he could think of. He thinks there might have been dust or something causing the pressure switches to shut off. He air sprayed to clean, and told mom if it happens again, he has the info he needs to get replacement switches. Right now it's warming up, hopefully it will stay that way.
Meanwhile, mom did her tour in animals this morning with second grade, and enjoyed it. She went to visit her nephew who had a second surgery following his auto accident (Last February), and he's doing great!
I hope you are toasty warm, and getting lots of love today. Hugs, Falco

  Hi Cori
my Mom really hasn't given us a shower since the last time we were all outside on the deck sometime in early October before it got really cold outside! We have been getting sprayed here and there but not a good dousing with the water and I have been trying to take a bath with my water bottle and whenever Mom sees me doing that she takes me out to the kitchen and turns the faucet on with the sprayer for me to go under but I always manage to take off on her so the last time I did that she came after me and brought me back to the kitchen sink and sprayed me til I was so soaking wet! Then I was allowed to go back into the bird room to finish drying off in my triangle rocker swing in the window in the sun shine! Then Mom took off after my frothers and fister and got them all soaked! We all used to go in the shower with her(we have a shower perch in each bathroom) but since Dixie's feet got so bad he couldn't hold onto the perch Mom hasn't taken us in with her,she promises the rest of us that as soon as she has time to take a long relaxing shower we'll be going back in with her again!
Wishing you a greyt day and I'm sending you all my love along with warm birdie hugs and soft beakie kisses for my sweet Cori,Loving you always and forever,Kallie

  Hi Cori
This morning was a freezing cold morning with temperatures of 27 degrees with lots of sun shine, but it did nothing to warm things up at all.Mom got Dixie and Mario packed warmly in their carriers and wrapped a warm blanket around them both while waiting for skin sis to come and pick them up.She was a bit late because of the construction by her apartment but they got in the car and went directly to Nana's to drop Dixie and Mario off and then they raced back to the gym to get to Zumba class and just made it right when the class was starting! As soon as they got out from the gym they went back to Nana's to pick her up to go to Market Basket to get some grocery shopping done for Thanksgiving and Nana got some pies there and both Mom and Nana got some marked down cream pies from the bakery section there,Nana got a nice cake and they got gravy and cranberry sauce a head of lettuce, cucumber and Mom got some tomatoes and Mom got 5 gallons of milk as she was down to her last gallon and they got several other things. Then they went back to our house to drop off all the things Mom got and then from there to Nana's to drop off her things and then they went and grabbed a bite to eat at Asia a Chinese restaurant and then from there they went to Roche Brothers grocery store where Mom bought a turkey breast for Thanksgiving dinner. Nana wants to go to Trader Joe's next week to get some sweet potatoes and they still have to get the Turkey broth for Nana to make the turkey soup to go with the meal. It was so cold in the grocery stores today and Mom just can't seem to warm up! Mom never got home til 6:30pm.She had to get dad's dinner and get the rest of us all cleaned and fed and put all the groceries away and now here it is after 9:00pm and Mom is just starting to get our visits in!
Wishing you a greyt day and I'm sending you all my love along with warm birdie hugs and soft beakie kisses for my sweet Cori! Loving you always and forever,Kallie

That's greyt the birdies are using the heated bird bath. You are lucky not to get the snow. Buffalo got hit really bad. We didn't do as badly as predicted. But, still more coming. This isn't a surprise this time of year at all for us. Mom will have to get out there tomorrow and fill the feeders.
Today was a light snow day for us, dad only plowed once. Thursday, we will get another foot of snow with ice, then maybe a break for a while. They say the rain will be here on the weekend.
Hope every bird is staying warm. Chyna lifts her hot chocolate mug ... CHEERS.

Come visit me, Chyna ~ Happy Thanksgiving & Bailey ♥ RIP.

  Hi Cori and Boo boo
Oh that snow will show up sooner or later LOL.
Yesterday I had a few naps during the day. Mom had pulled my condo out and was sweeping and cleaning behind it. At night time I was not ready for bed at all and mom left me go and a few times I went in my condo but came back out. Finally mom checked my heater and here she had unplugged it when she was cleaning behind it and didn’t plug it back in. Once she did that I did go up on my perch and to bed. It was cold last night again so that heater sure felt good too. “Sometimes I think “what is a friend?” and then I say a friend is some birdy to share the last treat with as I would share with you ” Leaving a vote for you.   Hi Cori
If it does pass, the Lakota nation will sue because it will pass through their land without their permission. Mom thinks the president will veto it anyway. It's nothing but trouble!
We are sitting here waiting for the furnace guys to show up. Yesterday when mom was doing our blogs, she started feeling cold. When she went downstairs, she saw that it was only 57 in the house. She called the furnace guys, then she changed the batteries in the thermostat. The furnace kicked on, so she called them back and cancelled the appointment. BIG MISTAKE! She woke up around 5 this morning feeling chilly, waited to hear the furnace kick on, and when it didn't, she went downstairs and saw it was only 52 in here! She fiddled with the batteries again, and called the furnace guys to set up another appointment today.
She had to work at the museum today, so she ended up asking the cleaning woman to stay and wait in case they came before she got back. Well, she got back at 1 and they still hadn't shown up yet, but Debbie, the cleaning woman, said she had taken down the thermostat 4 times and pushed the batteries around to get the furnace to start again. So now we are waiting.
Mom's tours this morning were a real challenge. She had 2 special needs groups of children. The first group had all nonverbal kids, and all of them were holding hands with one of the chaperones. Some of them couldn't walk very well, either, so they went slowly and took elevators to all the floors. The second group was much larger, bigger group and bigger kids. Many of them were nonverbal as well, and most of them were on a cognitive level somewhere below kindergarten. Mom got through the two tours well, but they were exhausting. All she said to her boss was Thank God and God bless the people who work with these children full time! Mom dealt with some special needs kids when she taught, but not so many at a time. These people need our thanks, for sure! They probably need a lot more money than they are making as well, but they do it for the same reason all teachers do, for the love of the children.
I hope it's warmer there than here, it hasn't gotten too warm today, but tomorrow and Friday it should rise into the high 30s and maybe into the 40s. We do have sun today, so it doesn't feel as cold somehow!
Mom has homework all week before Daisy even goes to class next week! We'll talk more about it later. I hope you are getting lots of attention today, and savoring every hug. Hugs, Falco

Come visit me, Gizmo, I miss you, sweet boy, Willie, Happy Thanksgiving, Peppino, Happy Thanksgiving, Divo & Falco, Happy Thanksgiving.
