Mom and dad were selling Kakariki babies and a woman (my birth mother) called them and said "That's not a parrot! I have parrots." They asked if she had any for sale...she said yes, three babies, not yet weened. I was the lucky one; they took me anyway and hand-fed me in an aquarium at home and in a box under dad's desk at work. Cramped....but WARM and cozy!. |

Garcia, Sorry I just pressed the wrong button and my message to you was lost forever. Probably somewhere out there in Cyber Space. Anyway...welcome to the club! I voted for you. My mom told me to tell your mom it might be a good idea to find out your sex. DNA testing isn't that expensive and she learned the hard way. My flock mate Popcorn (a Goffins Cockatoo)was thought to be a he and was actually a she. When he/she became egg bound, we lost valuable time before taking him/her to the vets, because it never occured that he/she was a she. :( Stop by anytime, it's always great to get to know another Double Yellow Headed Amazon. DannyCome visit me, Renegade, Cody & Danny.
