HELLO FROM LITTLE LUCY!
I just happened upon Sexee's page and wonder if his behavior has changed? Here are a few suggestions if they haven't. First, as Taz said, you need to get Sexee on a good pellet diet for example: Harrison's (which is only availabe from your vet or on-line), or Zupreem natural pellets, plus fresh fruit and vegetables. My birds' favorites are corn and lima beans. 2nd, be sure your your bird gets 12 hours of uninterupted sleep every night. 3rd, if he bites at the cage, use a perch to get him out of it , or off his cage and take him to a different place in the house, like to a separate playstand and interact with him there. Usually your quaker will be much nicer when away from his cage because they are known for being territorial. There is a lot of good info on this channel about quakers and in Bird Talk magazine. Every month BidTalk features one particular species of birds and they featured quakers in the Sept. issue. I'm glad you got rescued! Sometime a bad diet of all seed will make birds grouchy. That's what happened to Snuggles. He's much happier now that he has lots of good food. In time I'm sure you'll be the great bird friend that you were ment to be! ~Taz michelle, rochester, IN.

Tweety needs your votes for her poem. Her foot had to be amputated Feb. 26th due to the main blood supply being cut in her leg. We had to separate her from her cage mate. I wanted to get her a big cage to move (fly around) in and after paying 258.00 for her leg to become amputated we could not afford to buy her the cage of her dreams. You poor bird some people can be so nasty. Don't worry your new mom will take good care of you. this is sparks old owners way of taking care of a bird. It took me about 6 months before I would let anyone in my cage without gloves. I am very friendly and sweet bird now. Hang in there things will get better. Not all people are bad.
