Melon, You are so right!! That vacuum cleaner!!!! Mom and Dad keep telling me that they wouldn't have to use it so much if I didn't keep making such a mess. The Quaker, Jewels, is so much cleaner than me. I love to eat and throw food and I don't keep it in my cage. I know it won't hurt me but I still don't like it. It scary to me. Jewels isn't bothered by the vacuum. In fact, he wants to be on whomever is using it. For him, it's fun. Quakers - who understands them? Talk to you soon. Hi Melonie Yes, baths are my life, that and hanging upside down. Life is fun and Mom and Dad take good care of me. The toys are fun. Mom has loads of them for me. My frock friend Jewels, the Quaker, never plays with all the toys. He plays with Mom and Dad and loves the cup holder thingies that hook the cup to the cage. Too funny. My Dad has taught me all kinds of whistles. I think he's regreting it now. Everytime he leaves the room I'm whistling at him. Who invented that horrible thing called the vacuum cleaner. I get scared when they bring that out. Back to you. Hi Melonie I love your pics. Hey do you like baths and hanging upside down. Oh I love being upside. Dad says that I like being on him for a jungle jim. I love to take baths with Mom. Hey Melon! Artie back after a day of sleeping, eating, watching rain, and listening to the conures yodel. Are you as loud as those guys? I hear that some conures are different than others (Mom says it's that your genus is Pyrrhura) and that you're the quieter kind. I say it's the better kind, but don't tell Poe and the gang I said that. Wow, but can they squawk. Mom made it to and from work without incident. Lots of water on the roads and a few crazy drivers, but she made it. The sun peeped out during lunch and Mom thought she'd have a good ride home. Then, 10 minutes before she left, the sky started booming and let loose with a torrent of rain. Mom was not amused. You sound like a real pistol. You say a lot of phrases and can play with your toys. I never learned how to play with toys. I didn't have any during my formative years, Mom thinks. I do say stuff, though. Hi Honey, Hi Baby, Pretty Birdy, and all kinds of combinations. When I really want someone, I yell out, "Come here!!" I don't play with toys, but I do love hanging out with Dad. I take showers with him in the morning every weekday and then hang out with him while he gets ready for work. I watch TV with him and help him when he's on his computer. ("Help" being a relative term . . . ) I guess you could say that I'm a pretty contented soul. Take care, Melon, and we'll talk soon! Hey Again! Artie here just to say good morning. I hope you're staying warm and dry out East. It's been storming here in Northern Cali -- we had thunderstorms so bad last night that we were all up chattering away. It's currently quiet, although it's pretty soggy outside. Mom is not looking forward to driving into work - it's going to take a couple of hours at this point. Ah well, it's all for a good cause - keeping us parrots fed and entertained. :) You're one cute conure. Poe, Salsa and Winnie are all conures, too. Mom loves their spicy personalities and cuddliness (well, all except Salsa - he's a pill sometimes). They play and dance to music and Poe can even say "Hello" when the phone rings.
