My human was moving, didn't really know how to care for me, and met my new human by chance one December 22nd, 2001. I wasn't happy about moving, and it took me a long while to settle in, but I'm quite content now!. Awards

Hi! My name is Noel

I am a Conure from Reno, NV.

Noel the Christmas Conure

26 years old   F

I like peanuts, and pistachios, and willing to try just about any food!

I like my gym, the hoopball thingy that my human brought home, and going outside to my apple tree to chew on it! MmmmMmmm good!

I hate cats and anything small like a cat and moves around... they scare me! And I hate being stuck on the floor too!

She gives great kisses! I used to not like them, and I'd bite my human... now though, well she's gotten so good at kisses I'll lean in for a good long kiss!

I can't fly so my human has me sit on her hand as she moves me about the room to get some exercise! Anything else??? Be sure she'll get a bite! Oh, and I love kisses!.

Food is a necessity!.

Hi! My name's Kelly and I'm just a couple of bird pages over from you! I clicked on "next" a couple of times on my page and discovered YOU!! What a gorgeous bird you are!! 'Noel' is the perfect name for you too, what with your coloring!! I see from you pictures that you have a cockatiel friend that you're apparently very close too. You look like best of buddies!! You also must not be a very big bird as you're similar in size to the 'tiel. I know the size of a 'tiel... I live with seven of 'em... not as closely as you do... I have to confess that I wouldn't be as sweet as you are around them. Those crazy birds think they own the airspace in this house!! They swoop and dive bomb without a thought of who they might collide with. I have to duck to keep from gettin' buzzed by them!! and I'm sittin' on MY cage!! They're cute singers tho. Well, I just wanted to introduce myself seeing as we're 'neighbors'! I'd love to have you stop in sometime, tell me more about yourself. Until then... K 'v' ... three pages to the left!!

Come visit me, Kelly *v*.

I see you are a redhead.... I am a redhead, too
I know I'm not a conure, but let me say that you are a beautiful girl. I fell in love with a girl that looked like you a couple years ago at the bird rescue. My mom used to take me in a lot because she volunteered and I got to play and scream my heart out until we went home, and then I would pass out in my cage. She didn't feel the same way, though, and all my pretty wing displays and tail fanning couldn't even turn her head. I tried to preen her, but she got mad that I "took liberties" and pushed me off the perch... a couple times.... my Mom says I never learn. She already had an adoption pending, and I was very sad when she left, but happy, too, because she was going to such a good home. She said it never would have worked anyway. But hey, love is love, right? Can't fault a guy for falling for a pair of big, orange eyes. I guess I'm just a romantic at heart...
Well, here's a vote for you. See you around!

I just had to support my fellow Cherry-Headed Conure! You are very lucky to be with such a smart and sensitive owner!! Let her know that I greatly appreciate the help she gives on the forums! My Mojito is a kisser too--he loves to lean in and mimic the kissy noises too!

Come visit me, Mojito.

  Hi Noel
You sure have some unusual face feathers. My birdie is a smoocher too! She'd rather have kisses and head scritches than food. And she really likes food especially when it's in someone elses cage.

Thanks for visiting me! You get my vote.

Come visit me, Lucy, sweety & Buddy.

  From Noel
I've been with my human for over 5 years now. I certainly wasn't happy with the move, but I've settled in well! My human says she's got a surprise for me but I'm not sure I'm gonna like it!

There's a doggy here too, and he likes to pick up all the dropped food.... he doesn't really bother my per say, but he has scared Charlie before, cause Charlie doesn't like dogs! I don't know his reason, but I was attacked once by a really small critter and now I don't trust them anymore!

Come visit me, Charlie, Casey & Noel.

  Unique colors:
Hi there! You have some awesome face feathers. I've never seen a conure like you before. You're name is cute too - it seems very fitting. I don't have cats to deal with, but I bark at my dogs sometime. It's fun! Hum... Maybe you can scare the cats away that way....

Come visit me, Kiera.
