BEAVIS U. ----HEAD IS NO CHICK, ................HE IS OLD AND WISE, BUT NOT SICK. ............. ......... HE WAS LOST AND ALONE, ............. ............. ............... CAUGHT AND BROUGHT TO MOM'S HOME. ............. ................ FOR BIRD OF THE WEEK HE'S YOUR PICK! (Dedicated to my pal, Beavis U. ----Head, 28 year old quaker parrot from Virginia Beach, VA.
Hi, My name is SweetPepper and I am the campaign manager for my friend Beavis. Beavis is a 28yr old quaker who has a dream to be the next BOTW. He has tried before and lost, he was even beat out this past week by a fellow quaker. So I am campaigning extra hard this week for my friend and asking all my birdie friends to help by voting each and everyday. All you need to do is stop into his page each and everyday and kick that vote button off the top of his page, you don't even have to leave a blog each time. Help me in helping Beavis achieve his dream of becoming BOTW. Thank You , SweetPepper, campaign manager to BEAVIS FOR BOTW!

  Hi from Lonnie
Good Morning Big Bird, Bubba, I just love the help I get on BC. Today, I decided to take Zeus advice. I think and just let Ellie build our nest herself. I love her to death and just want to help but she reminds me that for safety sake I cannot put material so close to the hole. She thinks the chicks will fall out. I guess she is right, but a man likes to look out the door when resting on his nest. Our teils, Ms.Skeeter and Mr. Wishbone have two eggs already and she is still laying. Beep and Peep the Zebras have 3 eggs and are expecting on January the 6th also. I guess all good things come to those who wait. I'll be patient with Ellie. Afterall, I can't lay the eggs. hehe she is the expert there. Well, got to fly...Here is a vote for you and your flock too. It is from all of us. Yes, Fortune has the Big Head.....Patrick and I love it for him though. Happy 2008 my friend. Lonnie

  Hey pretty bird!!
Donna mama's stepgrandma is 100 years old in January, is really active and has a beautiful canary that loves her so much that he sings to her all day long! Since my greatgrandparronts live with my Donna's Mama and step-Poppie, the birdfriend is well cared for & loved and brings a lot of joy in the house.

Last year, they all adopted from a son what my mama says must be the world's oldest cockatiel!!! Hold onto to your yellow feathers... the cockatiel is least 36 years old and still kickin' too! They know he's that old because he's been in the family since he was born. I knew we Grey's lived a long time, but my Donna says she had no idea cockatiels could live that long! They must be doing something right, huh? Even as old as he is, he gets super excited when they put in fresh millet and loves to perch on greatgrandpa's cane to watch TV with him. My Donna says she is going to get photos of both birdfriends next time she visits her "parronts" in Atlanta and put them on here too!

Thanks for flying over to visit me! If you want to meet up some time and talk about strating up a little feathered friend club in Birmingham, you can call her by looking in the "canary pages" if you want or email her. chip chirp!

  Hi Bubba
Thats great that your mom lets you fly around. Even though you hate it is best the door is close, my brother Percy thinks he can get out of glass windows, and goes up to them and sqwaks angrily and worridly when he cant, mum has to close the blinds and curtains for safty as a result too. Mum used to let me out but our house is an open plan type, with archways and not many doors, which makes it hard to prevent me from flying from a bird safe room like the lounge room, to the kitchen which can be full of danger! Also I used to get worried about the emense size of the lounge room, compared to my cage, and would get tired and stressed. Were you scared at first too? and did you used to get very tired? Mum thinks she has to try again maybe and get me accostomed to it. What mum used to have to do was 'force' me out of my cage for exercise by coaxing me with treats too. Did you ever need to be coaxed out with treats too? Mum needs advice :) vote too :)

Come visit me, Yoogoos - RIP 17/04/10 my baby Oog, Umberto - in Memory of - & Percy - I miss my brother.

  Hi Bubba
Fat? that sucks, well at least your healthy and back to your chirpy self now. Mum just got me a canary cd too, the feathered phonics one, it's not really working now though, even though I used to sing all the time without a CD, Mum thinks it because breeding season is over, and its now winter here. Nothing to stress about. We just prefer summer! Well you look like a very spoiled canary which is excellent, canaries should not be forgotten to those dam parrots! So what was it like when you were first let out? Were you scared? Did you flutter around much? How does your mum get you to go back in your cage?

vote again and hugs

Come visit me, Yoogoos - RIP 17/04/10 my baby Oog, Umberto - in Memory of - & Percy - I miss my brother.

  Budda buddy
there is nothing wrong with being full figured. it gives us character. Aunts are funny. I had our grandma here for a visit. She spoils us. We got to share her breakfast. (A & W) Very yummy. I run around all over the place. i drive dad nuts and tonight i think I drove everyone wild. It's what i do best so now I will be going to bed as I have over stayed my welcome and moms not feeling well. She did go to the dog show yesterday and there were birds. She held a 2 year old Cockatoo. Scary! it belonged to someone and was not for sale. Lucky us we don't want to share our space with anyone or anything else. She did have fun. Keep up with the excercise and we will chat again soon. i gotta go before I get in more trouble. It is bedtime.

Come visit me, Theodore, Dito & Raptor.

I would imagine you can sing a beautiful tune. You could probably teach me some new stuff. Mom would love a Canary as well as a Cockatoo. Moms are great.

That's a pretty big name for such a little fellow! But it must be the perfect name, as it sounds like your the big guy on campus there. Any little bird that can hold his own against an African Grey has my vote for impressive! Are you a singer? My mom has a CD full of canaries singing the lovely little hearts out...I think she's hoping I'll imitate it and make it SEEM like we have one of you in our house! So far I'm convinced that only a canary can sing that pretty...I might embarress myself trying. I'll leave the singing to you!

Come visit me, Kelly *v*.

Tweety needs your votes for her poem. Her foot had to be amputated Feb. 26th due to the main blood supply being cut in her leg. We had to separate her from her cage mate. I wanted to get her a big cage to move (fly around) in and after paying 258.00 for her leg to become amputated we could not afford to buy her the cage of her dreams. We notice that she flies a little to get around her cage and can defiantly use a bigger one. Thank you; please visit her web site at

Come visit me, Tweety, Frosty and Ringo.
