 We found Gussie and her family on the internet. They had been looking for a home for her for almost a year. They loved her dearly but they wanted to travel after retirement. After a ton of emails and phone call interviews they delivered her from Colorado...it was a perfect match!. |

Hi! My name is August Rayne
I am a Blue-and-Gold Macaw from Salt Lake City, UT.
 Her name was originally Augustus, shortened to Gus, but her recent owners had her sexed and SHE wasn't a HE so they called her Gussie. She came to us as Gussie, which we spiced up to August Rayne, but we call her "Gussie", Baby, Pretty Girl.

Hi August (may I call you that) or do you prefer you complete name? Welcome to the club. I had the privilege of giving you your first vote. I'm a Blue and Gold too. Funny but I like to show my wings too when my Mom says "show me your pretty wings". I like to play peek-a-boo and dance. Stop by sometime. It's always nice to get to know another Blue and Gold.
